You mentioned some other amateur sip services besides hoip and hh, which service is better? I’ve not seen any reviews of services that outline the difference and similarities between them. Perhaps a good video idea for you. 73.

Thanks for the comment. Hamshack Hotline is corrupt and ran by Bill who is a control freak. He shut down parts of HH just because he was out of control in certain parts. HOIP became a thing when a bunch of HH admins were booted off HH for no reason at all (even tho that's not what HH says) I prefer HOIP because it isn't controlled by wackos and has better service and flexibility. There are others like AmateurWire but no one really uses those.

@@hamradionetworkingI've just joined HoIP. It seems great, and support is great too. It's the first service like this that I've joined, and my first time setting up and using a SIP VOIP phone. I have a YeaLink T23G, which I got for free.

@@hamradionetworking please stop bashing HH on youtubes. The team at HH is very dedicated to the project, and they had to make some hard decisions for the benefit of the success of the project. Some of the "differences" you have highlighted on this, were due to some folks not following the standard procedures on the technical side of things. The project stewards and leadership did their best to attempt to resolve differences, but at the end of the day chose to do what is best for the project, instead of allowing some folks to further their egos. They also had to restore 3 servers that were "tapped" with unauthorized software/monitoring that was installed by one of the engineers who was asked to leave. THat engineer (without naming names) was one of the people who were already trying to gut HH and start Hams Over IP. If you ask me, that's pretty grimey. It's also very poor taste to call out people specifically by name and bash them when you don't know all the facts. Bill does a great job for HH and helps a LOT of people, all without compensation and the time he invests in the project, which also competes with time with his family. You ought to post an apology for your comments about Bill when you aren't fully informed.

@@mrwizworks I am very informed, Bill is a control freak who shut down HHX for the reason of "We don't need two test networks" all because he didn't have control of that network. Bill has also decided to make the network very strict which is awful. Bill is quite nice to his community and is a very smart fellow who knows what he is doing, but so is the people from HOIP? I never said HOIP was in the green either, both sides are very scrummy (especially HH).

@@hamradionetworking I am the founder and one of 3 board members of the HH network. It was not Bill's decision to do those things, but rather it was a voted decision by the board to execute those changes, and Bill followed the direction of the Board. HH (at the size that it is) spanning several countries around the world with over 10,000+ interconnections world-wide, has had to make decisions to tighten security and better use of resources (like cutting BLF to save CPU - a precious resource). We've also become a huge target for fraud (with about a dozen cases reported and working with the FBI) because of the size of the network. It is the Board that makes decisions for what occurs on HH to ensure longevity of the project and best use of donor funds which helps cover our costs. Bill does not make decisions without Board approval, and the Board does not execute on decisions without calling those matters to a vote. We have due process.
