  • Hey guys, this is just a quick review of the adjustable hand gripper you can find on Amazon (link below). This specific grip can go up to 50kg which I believe is plenty if you are just starting out/intermediate.

    Each time you try to close the gripper with one hand, you hold it the wrong way, namely with the adjustable knob away from you. As a consequence, your little finger can't even hook around the handle. The right way to hold it is with the knob towards you, so the little finger doesn't need to extend so far. You will also notice that it fits the hand much better this way.
    This is elementary but none of the other commenters seems to understand this.

      No other commenters said anything as you can do both ways also I may be wrong but I think it works the forearm differently or maybe that’s only when it is rotated upside down

      @@Absolute-. The gripper is curved in a way that makes it fit your hand better when the lower ends curve towards, not away from you. How the wrong way can be claimed to be just as good is beyond me.

    I allways use that one opposite way, with the adjusting knob facing my wrist, feel the resistance gets abetter distributed that way. And it curves perfect in the arm. The way in the video majority of weight goes on index and middle, and pinky gets low resistance.

    I modified my old school type by putting 2 extra springs. One under the coil and the other down the bottom where your pinkie goes.years of caulking with a sausage gun especially on cold days made my grip strong over a 20 year period. I'm an ex glazier and now I'm trying to strengthen my whole body. Wrist curls and rock climbing helps a lot.( indoor climbing). Great video I just got a pair today. Cheers from Australia🙂👍👍👍

      Cheers man, I spent 8y starting at the age of 18 doing nothing but caulking with sausage guns. Mainly pre-cast joints where you can go thru a hell of a lot of product in a day. I am 50 now and still get comments on my grip strength and forearm size. If I were to buy a grip strengthening tool, what do you recommend for a starting poundage? (150, 250, 300,) I don't want to waste money on one that doesn't have enough resistance. Thanks

    Is it Normal after 2-3 days of heavy use my arms are basically hurt his, I woke up today and they fore arms hurt a bit
    Should I limit myself, what's a good amount of time and do you do long presses or quick squeezes since I've hold about holding it for like 20-30 seconds than giving a minute break as a rep, I've read you should be holding for 2-3 seconds but you're not you're just gripping and releasing right?

    • @toast1589
      @toast1589 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That's just delayed soreness, usually happens when you start a new exercise or do a certain type of exercise after a long time. Well, it has been 5 months now, so whatever you did might've worked out. It's usually good to take 1-2 days off if it hurts a lot but you can continue without limiting yourself if you feel like it.

    After the mega sets I'm mildly intrigued I've gone bught captains of crush no.3, I've had friends obsessed with this kind of stuff, fthey were also into arm wrestling lol. For me boring af lol. Of course if you have a problem with your grip you train it, I never have.

    I dont think these plastic adjustable grippers are accurate. I have one that goes up to 40kg from taiwan and i have another one max 50kg from china both feels exactly the same can do a lot of reps and i tried with iron mind quality gripper captains of crush 1 from US which is around 63kg feels way harder can only do few reps close to my one rep max. So i think if it says 50/60kg on these adjustable plastic grippers from china it is actually just 40kg resistance. But other than that its good product i just wish it was more accurate thats all with option for heavier load.

    • @marcopeigann5119

      Because plastic adjustable grippers have a smoother grip that's why it's easier, I have another gripper 45kg max but it's hard to keep with it after maybe 25reps because your palm will start to go red meanwhile the another gripper i have that has a smoother grip, 45 kg with 90+ reps is easier there.
