So since you mentioned about the perm solution oxidizing, I wanted to let you know that they make kits with little sachets of each solution so they don't go bad. That way you don't have to buy a new kit as often. The one with individual sachets was quite affordable as well, and I got mine off Amazon.

I do use the tool that comes with it, but I use the curved edge rather than the comb part. I push a lot of them up at once and that works really well for me. The contour works well with the curve of my eye.

you said ' oh i love diy and lash perming kits are too expensive" , then proceeds to pull out a lash perming kit lol.. i came here for real diy like something i already had on hand to curl my lashes ... sigh ... oh well
When it comes to a perm I really don't think there's a way to actually perm your lashes without an eyelash perming kit. It's not like you can round up ordinary beauty supplies and get it done, it's one of those things that doesn't work that way, hope this helps though :)
