Pt 2 Teriffic car display. 🚗 The Rolls Royce Silver Cloud was beautiful. I like how you have got close ups off the vehicles. I remember in 1965 being taken to primary school in the back of a Ford Anglia on my first day. You have a great knowledge of the car makes. I do too, but a got a few wrong. So it was good you filling me in. Thanks again From Carl.
I know I am getting old when I can clearly remember any of these cars as new when they were first launched and they are now at classic car shows 🥲. The colours and designs of cars, especially in the 1960's, 70's and 80's, were much more interesting than todays poor attempts. Ridiculous speed bumps. Fabulous collection of cars there. All credit to the people who keep these cars in such excellent condition. Off to watch Harley's channel.
Good to see the Fiat Uno Turbos. I had a metalic blue one in 1992 to 94. Excellent little car really enjoyed the performance. Drove it hard from new to 100 000 km. Thanks a lot for the memories!
Pleased to hear that you found the Unos of interest, apart from one or two at the NEC in recent years it's been a very long time since I last saw any of the turbo cars.
@@oldclassiccarUK I recon most are knackered by now, having had young guys drive them hard. Very solid mechanics, the 1.4 litre single cam Fiat motor was basically the same emdedign as the one in the 128 of the early 70s. The designer was ex Ferrari. Very solid little unit that could take hard driving well. The body was a bit flimsy though. Was in an accident in mine. Had to have a craniotomy to repair the damage as the steering wheel impacted my top jaw under the nose. Fully recovered physically and aesthetically fortunately. Ha ha.
Thank you all for your appreciation for our Uno's, mine's the Mk1 blue one, were trying to visit some shows as were all members of the Fiat Uno Turbo Collective and yes we try to preserve these pocket rockets from the eighties and nineties, keep a look out to other shows, we will be attending!
You can hear the DS clicking away while waiting to get in. Not sure why you would bring some of those to a classic car show but as I have said before many insurance companies now put a classic at around 20 years old. Loved the mk1 transit looked very nice. So many to mention. Speaking of which I did a video back in the day (VHS) it is not easy trying to film and avoid being run down and or bumping in to stuff, so I appreciate your sharing this content. Not so bad when it is stationary though! I will be looking forward to Pt.2.
Somebody else may have commented already. Anyway, the Mk 3 Cortina ldv or bakkie as we call them in South Africa were manufactured here. Came with 1600 Kent or 2500 Essex V6. Had a 2.5 in the family. Mk4 version came later with Kent or 3000 Essex. Very popular for caravan towing. Thanks for a lovely video.
A fascinating 'arrivals' video, many thanks. What a great show but some cars must have suffered in the queues! I agree with your comment, where are the pre-war cars? The Ruby and early American vehicles are lovely to see.
There is so much that I like here. I have always liked Citroens. The DS models were nice. The rare Rover 2000 estate was nice. I thought it looked a little like a hearse. The 1970s model Ford Cortinas aren't a common sight on the roads like they were. From Carl.
Hiya. Watched many of your videos. Very enjoyable. Two suggestions: let your son be the film maker for a change. Interesting to see his views and which cars he prefers. You obviosuly like the very old stuff and it would be interesting to see his perspecive. Also why not do a vid solely on futture claasics and cars that will appreciate in value. You mention this in passing but would be good for viewers to see if they share your opinion. Cheers!
Thanks for your feedback, he publishes quite a few vids to his own channel - CarTraction - so you'll find his take on many of these shows over on there. I'll have a think about the future classics idea. Thanks for watching!
I like your channel , however I take issue on bland descriptions ,its a mercedes but I don`t know which model it is please state the exact model and mark one spitfires are not mark two`s.
Hi, I do what I can but often I don't know what a particular car's spec is sorry. I know that Mk1 Spitfires (technically Spitfire 4s) aren't the same as Mk2s (Spitfire 4 Mk2s), I ran Mk3s myself on and off for years. I'd like to be an expert on everything but walking around and talking, as opposed to adding a commentary later at home, doesn't always allow me to expand fully on each of the (potentially) several hundred cars attending the show.

What an awesome mixed collection of newer and older classics, the Mercedes Benz R107's look so good still for 70's cars.
Another great display and movie. Thanks 🙌🙌🇮🇪🇿🇦
I love the amount of arcane info you provide us from your encyclopedic mind.
Thanks John :)

Thanks, yes I feel a bit old when I see some of the exhibits
Great show of cars,my favorite is the Cortina mark one

Nearly as many varieties as the old Woolworths pick and mix ,again thanks for compiling and sharing
Thanks ST, keep an eye out for Part 2 where we wander around the rows in more detail
Thanks for sharing. My Favourite? The first Citroen DS !

That also explains it being RHD, thanks for watching
The Golf GTi, MG Midget, Merlot MX5 and Chrysler 300C at 33 mins are ours :)
I spotted a Triumph Roadster similar to KRO 711 at a small show I went to recently. I think it might be the only one in the entire province!
I am so envious of your car shows. They are huge and with so much variety .
Thanks, some are better than others but this one does attract a wide variety of cars and ages of car
Loved the PA Velox and the Plymouth Fury. Excellent coverage and info, shall certainly be tuning for future meets. Cheers
Thanks Garry, Part 2 from the same show was uploaded yesterday too
Enjoyed that. What a wonderful selection. Nice to hear them coming in.
Glad you enjoyed it

I found one or two more in the main field when I started walking about, but they're definitely thin on the ground
Oversubscribed!! the field is only so big, will give it one more go never been as busy excellent video
Thanks Eddie yes it's a great do, I'm not sure we'll get to the next one but we'll definitely be back when we can

Vauxhall velocity , I believe .
Velox, yes probably
That Vauxhall VX220 at 2:54 is wearing a 22 reg plate ???
Had another look, it doesn't begin YB22 ... (which would be a 2022 reg.), it begins Y822
@@oldclassiccarUK yes, you're right.

helppppppppppppppppppp what was the blue car at 8,50 ???????????
Someone's taken a Jaguar XK8 and fitted a bodykit with the intention of making it look like a Ferrari
in the day, fiestas were called festering fiestas,
That wasn’t a Bentley continental.
Agreed, it's an S1 on which the Continental was based
me at 10:29
In the Veedub? nice bay window
@@oldclassiccarUK no in the Stag
All these modern cars look like squashed potatoes on wheels. Wind tunnel styling.
I wish the commentary was a bit more entertaining.
Apologies for not being sufficiently entertaining
Sadly too much modern stuff nowadays for me must be getting old but many not really classics!
I guess it's a constantly evolving scene isn't it, as cars get older and tastes change. Thanks for watching
