    Is possible to shave Pomeranian with machine? I think they should be groomed by scissors only

    Wow first of all thank you for sharing this video. Very beautiful.
    I am a beginning groomer still have lots to learn. My question is what is the difference between using sizers and using a clipper blade with a comb attachment ??
    I of corse am not comfortable with using sizers for a body trim yet.
    So any advice would be
    I really appreciated.

    I think those who have been commenting against the cutting Pom hairs, should really open your eyes and see that the OP is actually scissoring instead of having it shaved. It looks very well controlled. If not mistaken the OP is situated in Malaysia, a very hot and wet country, so having it trimmed would help keep the dog a bit cooler, less stuff get caught in their fur and prevents matting, to which, will definitely be much harder on the dog.
    Just because you live in a cold place doesn't mean you apply the same concept everywhere else.

      Not true. The outer coat protects the dog from the sun. This is also a dog a decent person would never get in a hot climate if that dog was subjected to that hot climate. That's a lousy dog owner if so.

    Do you ever get repetitive strain injury in your hand from using that scissors so much.?. its a lot of work.
    How long did this take?
    🙏😊

    • @AsianCuteDogs
      @AsianCuteDogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To reduce strain, it is advisable to do some stretching exercises especially the upper body and not just the hands.

    Pomeranians are double coated dogs, and therefore should not have their fur groomed like this. They really only need a brush and bath, and possibly a small trim. The only time they should be shaved or groomed in this manner is for surgical or sanitary reasons. Cutting a double coated dog's fur like this can damage the undercoat and it will likely never regrow in the same way. It can cause problems like overheating and sun burning, as well as hypothermia.

      She did say to not cut it too short or it won't grow back nicely..so Is 9mm too short?

    • @obsydian_jay
      @obsydian_jay 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sula1529 it shouldn't be cut at all unless it is necessary for surgery or sanitary reasons, such as severe matting.

    A pomeranian is noted for their beautiful hair why would you do that.
    I would never do that to my pomeranian

    • @AsianCuteDogs
      @AsianCuteDogs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is not uncommon for pet owners to request this style. It is best practice for pet groomers to inform and educate the pet owners of the consequences. Not all Pomeranians will suffer fur imperfections after this style. Coat maintenance by pet owners is crucial especially getting out the undercoat if they do not frequently let their pet groomers do it.

    Poor little dog.. Im not a fan of this style. I think Poms look better more natural.

  • @vintagecottonon
    @vintagecottonon ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is cruel. Poor pom looked so beautiful and cute already at the beginning. His fur shouldnt be cut this short and unnnatural like this 😡😥
