Could be the instrumental slowly but surely increasing it's intensity, could be the maleficent tone that gives a somewhat nostalgic vibe or simply the way the phrase "a stranger i remain" is repeated makes this part so beautifully awesome and I'm absolutely glad your version picked up on this and extended it to make it even better!
