I have learned so much from this series. Love the photos and film from the different eras. Love the background music, too.

I am researching Micronesia 🇫🇲 in the 1920s-1940s and this is very valuable. Does anyone have other links?

I'm from the Marshall islands, but we're all one people! I've noticed how "we the Micronesian people" are discriminated against. It's sad how other humans see us differently. We the Micronesian people are like a beautiful coconut, brown outside but white inside!

I view the Micronesian people as being a very special people! My father was in the war, was at Tarawa, Saipan, and Tinian. When I was still a child, he told me about the people there. He cared so very much for them and had seen so much devastation to them because of the war. When I was older, my mother and I took a trip to Hawaii. (He didn't go, he wouldn't fly, but then he said he wanted to remember it how it was when he was there, 1943). He remarked also, you will love the Pacific people, they are the sweetest and friendliest people on earth. In college, I had a friend who was from Tonga. I asked, "Daddy, do you know where that is?" He smiled - huge smile - he said, "I know EXACTLY where that is!".. I just want to say, his love for the people has been passed on to me, and now, in my 60s, I am writing a book, and hope to visit the Marianas! God Bless!

Oh don’t worry bro. America took over Guam after the Spanish-American war in 1898. Until when the Japanese took over later during wwii. & I guess this film is only talking about Japanese colonialism. But you’re good bro💯.

Good days of the Japanese Empire rules. The primitive peoples of Micronesia have been civilized.
