  • Harbor Freight Predator wood chipper part 62323. Retain $489, with coupon $399 or $429.
    Continuation from part 1
    PART 1: • TORTURE TEST: Harbor F...
90 minutes of running compressed into 21ish minutes. Got about 1 yard of mulch in this segment.
I will bore you with hours and hours of actually running this wood chipper. Most branches are 1-2" with a couple 2.5-3" diameter. Most have been cut within a week of the chipping.

It was so much more satisfying watching someone else do all the work for a change! lol
But I seriously need to get one of those because I have a LOT of trees on my property and if I can compost my branches rather than burn them, I'd prefer to do that. It's safer and I get mulch. Double win. Thanks for the upload!

Sure works better than the yellow one I bought from them. Its ok for leaves and small stuff but it won't eat branches like this one.

Haha, it gets even better, he came back, watched for a few minutes and fell asleep on the grass 30ft away.

Mine seems to jam with anything around 2 inches when it says it can take up to 3 inches. Very disappointed

Yes mine did too, blades are 1/4" thick at the sharp end and unless you manually control feed speed they will jam after 12-18" of thick sticks.

Yeah. I have this same machine. Bought it from harbor freight a couple years ago. I think I paid a bit more but about the same price.
I have used mine, a few days, here and there. A week or two, for a couple spring and falls.
It is interesting watching this. Thanks for making the video. You are getting great use out of it. I am usually too busy to run mine for the desired time I want to.
But damn, it looks like you are running much bigger branches then I do. I will have to check my throttle and make sure Im using mine right. I can hear mine bogging down and about to stall with branches about a quarter as big as you are running thru.
Im happy I bought mine and it does have good power. Maybe my trees are harder wood. Also, my branches are way less straight. It is interesting watching this.
After having mine stall or plug a time or two, I run much smaller branches then you use.

I find that it can handle 3 inches (except for really hard wood) but you do kind of have to slowly stop and start vs letting it feed itself.

Only problem: It seems to make the chips magically vanish! :-) How much volume did it make in 90 minutes?

      Approximately 1.5 yards
