From a pure gameplay perspective, Cal embracing the darkness is like when you get the Ghost Stance in Ghost Of Tsushima! It truly is one of the coolest moments I’ve ever had in gaming!
It’s rare that I’m on the exact emotional level as a main character in a game, but for this, I felt the exact same rage that Cal felt. I’ve felt that painful burn of betrayal before, and like Cal I was hoping that somehow Bode would have a not so much good but more understandable and acceptable excuse.
After meeting Kata and seeing how good and innocent and pure she is I would understand wanting to absolutely destroy anything that would threaten to hurt her. It’s the same as with Joel and Ellie in The Last Of Us. However he could’ve told Cal and the others at anytime and while they would’ve resented how he sold out other Jedi (including Cal’s crew) they would’ve helped him rescue Kata and taken them to Tanalorr. To give him a second chance.
Unfortunately he let his fear corrupt him. This is exactly the thing that the Old Jedi warned against when it came to attachment. But unlike how Luke and Rey used their attachments to their friends and family to empower them, Bode like Anakin was chained by his love for his family. He would lock himself and his daughter away from the rest of the universe if he thought it was the only way to protect Kata.

I loved it when Cal brushed the dark side. Probably the best moment throughout the entire game for me, especially when he starts to use Force Choke and Merrin has to be the voice of reason. Without her there, Cal could have fallen.

The creator of the games said this was meant to be a trilogy, so the chances are we are gonna get a third and final game. I have a feeling this is gonna be one of the premises of the third game. The fact that, yes, Merrin can bring him back. However, this is just as dangerous because Merrin could be killed. I think this will be a plot point in the third game. Either she dies, gets wounded bad or kidnapped.

Hey Louise, I've tried to stay away from yours and everyone else's Jedi Survivor content over the last few weeks so I wouldn't get any spoilers, and thank you for not ruining anything with your thumbnails! Unlike Theory who put Vader and Boba in his thumbnails and ruined that they were in the game for me😒
Anyway, this sequence was awesome! Idk if you did this already but when Cal Embraces the Darkness it makes his force abilities insane, with the big robots you can chuck them around and even do the move where you crush them with the force, like Luke does at the end of Mando season 2 It's crazy! I did it by accident but you trigger it just by force-pulling one.
Also, you should definitely do another compilation video of all the best story moments like you did in the first game! Keep up the great content 😁

Your reactions are so incredible Louise! This game is clearly one of the best ones out there. Cere is one my favorite uplifting characters for Cal. I totally feel much for him. I was also hoping that Bode would try to turn good again and realize the error of his ways😢😊💫💫🙏🏻
