12:15 Well the good news is that now there is a base-game 40mm grenade, so if/when those mods get updated for the next-gen version this won't be an issue anymore
@@imperialbricks1977 Yeah. The stuff shown in this video isn't from a mod, it's new content from the next-gen update that just came out. It's strange but nice seeing Zach somewhat compliment a pipe weapon, given his first encounter with them was just "why aren't raiders making these in a factory operated by skilled smiths supplied with high quality steel" :P Edit: I assume Mike already knows, but in case he doesn't - That F4SE error message was basically saying the extended dialogue menu mod is outdated. Recognize it all too well xD
So, these pipe weapons are more "Creative but kind of plausible weapon" and less "Gun that should not reasonably function without taking your hand off"
I feel like Zach’s complaint was more of a “This thing would never even fire a single round”, and much less of a “why is this pipe weapon not an artistic piece made with mircometre calibrated equipment.”
Duke Nukem Forever had a load tip like that "To not get injured, don't get injured" bit. Memory serves, it was "If you died to a fall, it was probably your own fault".
I stand corrected. I expected Zach to enjoy the Piggy Bank Launcher, but to hate pretty much all the other guns. I'm pleasantly surprised that these were fun and Zach enjoyed them!
I did not expect Zach explaining a ton about an obscure Chinese grenade launcher I've never even heard of! Come to think of it, I probably should've expected exactly that.
Wait until they find out the baseball launcher can produce infinite ammo because of an oversight involving VATS. Oh also, with the flame modification it can crash the game very easily.
fun fact about the baseball launcher: it's insanely broken as a weapon if you use it in VATS, because it's also insanely broken as a mod and when you fire it in VATS it launches twice as many baseballs as it holds in a magazine, which means in VATS it basically has double its regular dps and you can then pick those baseballs up and have functionally unlimited ammo
I love how everytime that Zach examines a weapon and either calls out a model clipping issue or how it wouldn't be able to actually work, its a Bethesda designed weapon... all of the modded ones are better designed, because the modders actually care.
The piggy bank mines seem unironically a interesting Improvised Explosive. There's not much use for money, so why not put into a piggy bank with an explosive inside too that can have the money act like shrapnel.
Wasn't Zach talking about how there's some gauge of shotgun shell that fits certain grenade launchers way back in NV? When they found the skeleton companion
The baseball launcher currently fires more baseballs than it actually has loaded so you can gradually increase the number of your ammo if you pick them all back up again. lol Someone can't math in Bethesda...(nothing new there).
I mean, the makeshift weapon pack was definitely the better part of the next gen update. They definitely could have been something from the vanilla game, they're just implemented weirdly because they're creation club.

A lot of Fallout fans question how there can still be bands of raiders 200 years after the nukes. I, for one, don't question it. Civilization doesn't mean jacksh*t. You're still gonna have poverty and a drug crisis 200 years later. I mean look at the cartels littered across Latin America. Those countries have modern governments and such, but then they've got actual f*cking raiders all over the place WITHOUT a nuclear war! And of course the raiders are driving away any potential progress for rebuilding society. Like how Detroit can never become a powerful industrial center again because of the crippling poverty breeding incurable amounts of crime that drives away business.
You guys are the second people I've watched do this and get the Flakker, which im guessing is because you killed the merchant. So if you save him you get a generic legendary Penetrating Chinese Grenade Launcher, but if you kill him you get the Flakker. The Grenade Launchers are the only good thing to come out of the Next Gen update.
Im actually wondering and doubt ill get an answer but how has the new updates to FO4 affected production? Are you using older versions of the game to make do or gave there been workarounds?
Why would you need a suppressor on a Grenade Launcher? I have only ever heard them do the Thump sound as they are fired, unlike bullets. So wouldn't a suppressor just be unnecessary for one?
A suppressor actually has a dual function, it makes it quieter, and gives the grenade more barrel, doesn't actually decrease the range or penetration power.
Those offical grenade launchers are the only good thing with this not next gen update. also I love how Zach was complaining about the Raider paint job and didn't notice he could change the paint job in the weapons workbench
