📏 Despised by his contemporaries, Arthur Schopenhauer offered us a vision of human nature both profound and haunting. To him, humanity is nothing more than an instrument of the world’s will, endlessly striving to perpetuate itself through time. Pessimistic, you say? Let’s delve into that…

Not entirety. A circle represents infinite time like a figure 8.
The astrological sun symbol/target symbol represents inner and outer..
A lot of thing you say can't be grasped mentally are perfectly clear with not too much imagination.
A big dot near a little dot represents what we consider creators and creations just fine in cases where one has been exposed to enough different types of information somehow.

Schopenhauer also said it this way about not having free will.
"You can do what you will but you cannot will what you will".
The will is a result of causes and conditions out of our control.

The analogy to Keyser Soze was brilliant. It brought clarity and ironically I recently watched that movie (Usual Suspects), so the concept of the shapeshifting deceiver and monster is spot on. Very interesting this will guy.

I certainly agree with Cchopenhauer. I have always asked highly educated and intelligent people the question "What is the purpose of life" and none of them seem to know the answer.

There is no one answer. Think bout it a little harder....
What kind of life? A squirrel? A human?
What gender is the creature? How does it feel?
Nutshell answer is It's case by case.

From unity/love we came to the test of duality.
      We must return to love/unity.
This is the journey of the soul which we call life. The meaning is always within itself.

    Thank you Charles !
I must have listened to all your French episodes, but I still really like this new English channel.
Even if it can be hard to find a meaningful life, loving people make that life purposeful, to care, help and love others, not necessarily only those we deeply love.
I enjoyed this episode on Schopenhauer, but I won't see life as he did, I don't think we should stop the endless reproducing and there's something beautiful at getting over suffering, when life gave you that opportunity(some suffers all their life and I have a lot of empathy for them) to enjoy life more than suffering from it. I don't have kids just because I didn't have the opportunity to unite with the right woman yet and I decide I wouldn't reproduce just to do it, it has to be with someone I truly love and that I think that even if we eventually break up, we would be able to stay united by friendship and being the parents of that/these kids. Too many made kids without taking the responsibilities that comes with it, so better not replicate the cycle if it's not to fully care and love those kids. Now, many makes kids just for the financial allocation that comes with multiple kids, I know many of those guys, who doesn't spend much time educating their kids, but they spend the allocation money, cause they made kid mostly for this reason.

probably because you can still able to reproduce even if you already did child , because the brain is dumb and don't count how many you make.
