Edit: She also plays a role in Korra, and doesnt sound like Azula. She changes it up enough that you can *feel* its the same actor, but not so much that it detracts from the new character. Its a great show of her abilities. Unlike Dante Basco's character in Korra, where hes doing basically the same voice (probably by instruction, not by him being a bad actor or anything)
The biggest mistake Azula had made before the Agni Kai was banishing the Dai Li. They were like her Get out of Jail Free card. She emptied the palace with all of its powerful people to help her. But, she did had a point there. Who’s to say that they won’t betray her the same way as they did with Long Feng? Ursa always cared about Azula, but she was concerned in the way Azula was turning out. This is the first time Ursa said I love you to Azula in the series, but not in Azula’s life. I think if Ursa had tried to counteract with Ozai’s teachings toward Azula, then she would still be the same in the series. She would still have Ozai’s influence, something that Zuko didn’t, because he didn’t have the personality and abilities that Ozai wanted him to have. I think if Ozai saw that, then he would have increased his influence on Azula or done something to hurt Ursa. To Ozai, Zuko is a lost cause, but with Azula though, that’s a different story. She was already going down that path when Ursa was still there in the palace. I don’t criticize Ursa for scolding Azula anything she did for pretty bad behavior, because she is able to be a parent to Azula, something Ozai is not. I don’t understand some of Azula stans/apologists that they throw Iroh and Ursa under the bus for the way Azula turned out to be. Why make their lives harder when Ozai is right there?

I agree. If there's someone we should blame, it's ozai. He was never a true father. He never saw zuko and azula as his children, just nothing but as TOOLS for war. And ever since he banished zuko, he focused so much in brainwashing azula with pure hatred and fear, and this episode is what slowly shows the insanity that azula is going thru. Azula is suffering because of ozai. Azula may believe that her mother saw as a monster, but it's not true. The true monster is ozai 😠
I’m not gonna lie, Ozai is probably the most powerful fire bender in the show. Dude could literally incinerate an entire nation solo during the comet’s passing.
Actually, Iroh (Ozai's older brother, and everyone's favorite uncle) is probably stronger, and general Zhong Zhong is likely at least his equal. They just don't feel the need to show it off.
Ozai is 100% the most powerful firebender. Iroh is the most skilled. He might even be superior to Ozai if he were a younger man. Jeong Jeong is more skilled than Ozai, but is not as powerful. Azula is a prodigy. The actual flames she produces are hotter and more powerful than any other firebender, but she is young and still working on it. A 100% sane Azula in her 30's and 40's would far surpass anything Iroh or Ozai would ever be able to do.
Nah it's ihro, ihro said it himself, he could easily kill his brother but history would only see it as a brother killing a brother for power, so it's best for the avatar to do it

I haven't read the comics (I really want to though) and I agree they didn't say her age in the show but they definetly did say Zuko's age and I always thought they were the same age. In the flashback Ursa never says something like "younger brother or sister" its always just brother and sister. If I am wrong then ok lol. Just going by my knowledge
4:43, that was actually a good point. The Dai Li were supposed to be The Earth King’s secret police but they betrayed him to Long Feng. Then they betrayed Long Feng to Azula. So why would they be any less willing to betray her than they would be willing to betray their previous two masters
Remember bloodbending can only be done during a full moon, and I think it's still daytime during all this. Neither Katara nor Aang could've used bloodbending at this time
This, but not only that, Aang never learned that technique, we don't even know if he can learn it We can't forget that just because he's the Avatar and a generally strong bender, that doesn't mean that he's actually mastered anything besides Air yet, we don't know if he's even got the capability to learn specialized bending forms like blood bending or metal bending, he hasn't even learned healing so it's safe to assume that he can't just learn any and all techniques

Earth and Fire he clearly lacks (despite his amazing displays) just a few days before the fight Toph says he still needs to work on Earth, and Zuko is still training him. Hes only mastered 1, maybe 2 elements. (And water being a natural for him, but as a natural at many things ive found that being a natural leads to bad habits, for mastery he has to break those habits)
Into the Inferno is perhaps my favorite overall episode in the entire series. Azula's disintegration, the animation, the fight scenes, the MUSIC. Absolutely unmatched quality.
9:06, Azula’s wrong about that. In the episode Zuko Alone, Ursa also scolded Zuko for being cruel to the Turtle-Ducks leading to Zuko being ashamed of his behaviour. And in the same episode Ursa scolded Azula for wishing Uncle Iroh dead and Azula was unfazed. And that did disturb Ursa. That’s a far cry from hating Azula or regarding her as a monster. It’s only in the episode The Beach that Azula claims that “My own mother thought I was a monster. She was right of course but it still hurt”. Azula’s perception of her mother’s perception is tainted by her self-perception.
Finally, somebody that actually gets what the show creators are portraying rather than just making stuff up like "oh poor Azula, her father abused her and made her crazy".

14:10, towards the end of Season Two, Azula asked Zuko “what are you going to do, challenge me to an Agni Kai” and Zuko said “yes, I challenge” but Azula declined in favour of letting the Dai Li deal with him. Now, she’s actually agreeing to it only now he’s let go of his shame due to having tastes humility and she has lost her control and focus meaning that he has the advantage over her.
I like the music for the Agni Kai is so somber because as epic and beautiful as the battle is, it’s ultimately a tragedy that it is happening at all. These two teenage siblings are fighting to the death for the fate of their whole nation. A lot has to go wrong for that to be happening.
What a series, imagine how we felt when the finale came out and we had to wait for the last episode? 😮💨It's interesting Azula can still do lightning even unhinged, cause you have to have peace of mind, and her mind definitely isn't right now. It's been speculated that Toph felt the heat of the fire, that's why she asked that question. Zuko, could've redirected it but lightning travels fast, maybe he didn't have enough time to prepare himself, and panicked because she went after Katara instead, which still kind of got me mad, why the hell did she show up in the fight right there? But moving on, the visuals and music for the Agni Kai was nothing but beautiful and tragic. Think about it, a brother and a sister fighting against each other for the throne. Siblings are supposed to be there for each other, thick and thin, love each other, and instead we have one sibling who absolutely hates the other and the older sibling who wants to love the younger one and feels sad for them. Tragic. I can't wait for the final episode.
Katara was there the whole time since if Zuko lost he would most likely die without her healing him and her being there was also as backup since they didn't know Azula banished everyone who could help her cheat
Lightning isnt fast lightning benders in the show shoot the slowest lightning. Zuko had time to take 2 steps get in front of the lightning and partially redirect it. When ozai shot lightning at zuko he had time to redirect and think. And when ozai shot a bolt of lightning at aang the first time in the video aang had enough time to react and use airbending to get out and only when he got out did the lightning even strike.

The last agni kai between Zuko and Azula is one of the best and the sadest fights in the entire series. The music used for this is just perfect in showcasing the epicness as well as the sadness of the fight between the siblings. Also i feel like the bending styles have changed for both of them. Zuko is more in control while Azula's attacks are somewhat wild. It's crazy to see how things have changed for the two within a short time period.
6:44, since she always relied on the manipulation of others to maintain control over them and get them to do what she wished. But that doesn’t work anymore because for that strategy to work she needs to understand other people enough to predict their behaviour. She used the Avatar being alive to control Zuko but then Zuko 1) confessed to the Fire Lord 2) Defected and 3) Bested her in their next two confrontations and to add insult to injury her friend and sidekick Mai 1) Betrayed her to save Zuko and 2) Explicitly told her “you miscalculated. I love Zuko, more than I fear you.” while Tai Li betrayed Azula to save Mai. And those were the people she knew best the people she most controlled. And after that she snapped and tried to kill Zuko but failed and then Ozai decided not to take her with him to the final battle (for a fair and legitimate reason since someone needed to rule the Fire Nation in his absence). But she took exception to this decision and accused him of treating her “like Zuko” only for him to remind her of her place. And now Azula begins to realize how little control she actually has (like Oogway said in Kung Fu Panda your mind will not rest until you let go of the illusion of control) so she is desperately trying to reassert control by eliminating all uncontrollable factors
It always makes me sad to think that that was the incredible fire power the air nomads had to fight against when the war begun, and all things considered it seems they managed decently before falling, I mean gyatso defeated like 20 firebenders before passing away
Welcome to one of the most perfect endings of any show. Not just an ending or a two-parter, no 4 perfectly timed episodes including the cliffhangers. Even here, you know how it should end, you know how you want it to end, but you don't know how it will end. Sokka? The non-bender, but even so, with Suki on the tteam not the best fighter in the group is responsible for taking out the airship fleet. It took some time from the arrogant guy to learn, to grow, but when he began to learn and grow? He did so by leaps and bounds. Until he was the one everyone depended on to come up with a plan. And no, for all her power and skill, Toph would have gotten in the way in this fight. She has the skill and ability to defeat the Firelord, but with the comet? She doesn't have the mobility. Even Aang, with mobility being his speciality can barely keep up with Ozai. As for Zuko and Azula? While she was out of breath, Zuko was calm and in control. All the lessons Zuko learned from his Uncle to those from the Dragons allowed him to conserve his energy while Azula squandered it. And the look in her face when she realizes that her brother was matching and surpassing her? Another crack in her psyche. Also, the visual and the music? Perfection.
The final episode is so beautiful. I love the comedy on this show, but this last episode really demonstrates that this show is more than just the bits. It’s about the art and the love and the passion.
Also, I really like the way they portrayed Azula's downward spiral. We know that Mai and Ty Lee were mostly "loyal" to her out of fear, but in her mind they were her closest friends so it would make sense that their betrayal would shake her to her core and cause her a ton of issues. After all, if you can't trust your best friends, who can you trust?
This was one of my absolute favorite best fight scenes ever airing on Nickelodeon between aang and ozani plus After Azula’s defeat, it is i had read in the comic book The Promise that she was admitted into a mental institution in the Fire Nation due to her poor mental state, possibly schizophrenia. Both in the series and the comics, she is shown to be disturbed by frequent hallucinations of her mother.
Ozai is so fuckN broken with the comet amp his fire blast was equal if not bigger to all the airships with guys on it😭😂It’s crazy how powerful they become even Iroh they’ve tried for years to get into the walls but the amp of the comet he just 1 shots it🤣
7:55 perfect example of how much power the comet actually gives to firebenders...Iroh besieged Ba Sing Se for years and couldn't get through the wall but took it down with one blow with the power from the comet
One of my favorite arcs of the third book is Azula's slip into insanity. I also love that Zuko jumped in front of the lightning to protect Katara. That was the completion of him turning good.
A thought that someone else pointed out in a TH-cam comment. The Agni Kai is a duel of honor between two firebenders. It could arguably be called the ultimate show of honor in all of Fire Nation culture. But every Agni Kai we see in the show, every. Single. One. Ends dishonorably.
I just love how the music during the Agni Kai wasn't triumphant, it was sad. These are two siblings who should love each other, but their father broke their relationship beyond repair and drove them apart and now they're forced to fight. This show is a gem.
Zuko taking the hit for katara shows how he really has changed from when we first saw him and how he was. This show is almost over but we do have other avatar shows if you would want to watch it I'm not saying you should btw.
So I would like to point out that back in season 1 episode 3, Monk Gyatso was found with 10+ firebenders. if you look back at his clothes they show no sign of scorched marks and his wooden medallion was still intact. this shows us that Monk Gyasto was such a master airbender that he took out multiple comet-fueled firebenders with him. Respect to Monk Gyatso!
The Last Agni Kai is the peak of the entire series from a visual perspective imo. The animation is absolutely stunning start to finish and the music for it gives me absolute chills.
I love the tragic music that goes with Zuko and Azula's fight. The animators could have used epic, pump-up fight music, but instead they chose to highlight the tragedy of two siblings pitted against each other, the tragedy of Azula being only 14 but so corrupt and broken. You can see that Zuko wishes it didn't have to be this way. His father and sister have hurt him so much, and he's resolved to fight Azula, but he still wishes things were different.
7:50, and not just any Firebender. The Dragon of the West. General Iroh learned the True Power of Firebending from the Dragons well before Zuko was born and was (with the exception of Zuko and Aang) the last to learn Fire from The Dragons
When you think about how Azulon and Ozai favored her and how she was raised alone by Ozai since she was 11 (we know she's 14 when she was first introduced at the end of season 1 and we know Zuko has been searching for the Avatar for at least 3 years) it makes sense how she turned out the way she did and how she quite literally shattered under the pressure.
Remember when Iroh taught Zuko how to redirect lightning and told him that he must never let the energy pass through his heart since that would be lethal? Yeah.. It's difficult to avoid redirecting it through your chest while you're sprinting to save someone's life Also now we know why they decided to make Azula's fire blue, it doesn't actually burn any hotter than any other firebenders' fire, but it does make for an incredible visual for the Last Agni Ki
Love the comet-enhanced firebending SFX. The sound of a blowtorch has never been more threatening. Grey DeLise-Griffon said she went to a really dark place mentally for Azula's breakdown. The final showdown between a god in human form and a self-declared god. And it takes a backseat to 2 siblings fighting to the death. Azula's so unhinged she throws the Agni-Kai just to kill Katara.
Really recommend The Dragon Prince after you finish this series! One of the main characters is a voice actor from this series. I think it also has a writer from this show.

The Last Agni Kai is one of the most breathtaking fights. There are only a few things I can compare it to, one of which being latest episodes of One Piece, that shit is immaculate.
Btw Tim, in the Agni Kai between Zuko and Azula, maybe you didn't notice but Zoku is using moves from the other elements that he learned from his time in Team Avatar.
It's funny how action scenes have escalated over the course of the series. We've gone from Sokka vs Zuko at the south pole to Zuko vs Azula during Sozin's Comet. Comparing those two gives such a strong contrast in both power and tone.

You kept repeating "Avatar State!", I think you forgot Aang has lost access to it back in the s2 finale after Azula electrocuted him while he was in the Avatar state during the battle in the tunnels of Ba Sing Se :)
I think legend of Korra would be the logical next move, but there's loads of great animated series as renowned as this, gravity falls is great, the owl house is amazing, arcane is insanely good and has a very unique art style, disenchantment is really underrated and is kind of an episodic period comedy but also has a really intruiging mystery storyline underneath it. Final space is amazing but it's hard to get it in the US since HBO max has been cancelling shoes and removing them from everywhere left and right.
Ozai manipulated Azula into thinking her mother hated her, but that could not be further from the truth! Ursa loved Azula just as much as she loved Zuko, Ozai just wanted to make sure Azula became an emotionless killing machine! Ozai didn't allow Ursa to spend as much time with Azula as she was allowed to spend with Zuko, because then Azula would have grown up to be "weak" and "shameful"! Zuko was already a lost cause since he wasn't a "firebending prodigy" like his sister, so who gives a shit if he grows up to be "weak" and "shameful"?

Zuko vs Azula really is the saddest battle. It's not the glorious battle of a virtuous hero against a crazy tyrant. It's the inevitable and heart-breaking crash of two teenage siblings against each other as a result of their distastrous childhood.

We can't forget that just because he's the Avatar and a generally strong bender, that doesn't mean that he's actually mastered anything besides Air yet, we don't know if he's even got the capability to learn specialized bending forms like blood bending or metal bending, he hasn't even learned healing so it's safe to assume that he can't just learn any and all techniques

Earth and Fire he clearly lacks (despite his amazing displays) just a few days before the fight Toph says he still needs to work on Earth, and Zuko is still training him. (And water being a natural for him, but as a natural at many things ive found that being a natural leads to bad habits, for mastery he has to break those habits)
Into the Inferno is perhaps my favorite overall episode in the entire series. Azula's disintegration, the animation, the fight scenes, the MUSIC. Absolutely unmatched quality.

9:06, Azula’s wrong about that. In the episode Zuko Alone, Ursa also scolded Zuko for being cruel to the Turtle-Ducks leading to Zuko being ashamed of his behaviour. And in the same episode Ursa scolded Azula for wishing Uncle Iroh dead and Azula was unfazed. And that did disturb Ursa. That’s a far cry from hating Azula or regarding her as a monster. It’s only in the episode The Beach that Azula claims that “My own mother thought I was a monster. She was right of course but it still hurt”. Azula’s perception of her mother’s perception is tainted by her self-perception.
Finally, somebody that actually gets what the show creators are portraying rather than just making stuff up like "oh poor Azula, her father abused her and made her crazy".
It's also the perception of herself, she 's always told she's a genius, special, anormal, she now believe herself to be a monster.

14:10, towards the end of Season Two, Azula asked Zuko “what are you going to do, challenge me to an Agni Kai” and Zuko said “yes, I challenge” but Azula declined in favour of letting the Dai Li deal with him. Now, she’s actually agreeing to it only now he’s let go of his shame due to having tastes humility and she has lost her control and focus meaning that he has the advantage over her.
I like the music for the Agni Kai is so somber because as epic and beautiful as the battle is, it’s ultimately a tragedy that it is happening at all. These two teenage siblings are fighting to the death for the fate of their whole nation. A lot has to go wrong for that to be happening.
Craziest and probably best fights I’ve seen in any cartoons are all in this episode and they Deliver on every level

What a series, imagine how we felt when the finale came out and we had to wait for the last episode? 😮💨It's interesting Azula can still do lightning even unhinged, cause you have to have peace of mind, and her mind definitely isn't right now. It's been speculated that Toph felt the heat of the fire, that's why she asked that question. Zuko, could've redirected it but lightning travels fast, maybe he didn't have enough time to prepare himself, and panicked because she went after Katara instead, which still kind of got me mad, why the hell did she show up in the fight right there? But moving on, the visuals and music for the Agni Kai was nothing but beautiful and tragic. Think about it, a brother and a sister fighting against each other for the throne. Siblings are supposed to be there for each other, thick and thin, love each other, and instead we have one sibling who absolutely hates the other and the older sibling who wants to love the younger one and feels sad for them. Tragic. I can't wait for the final episode.
Katara was there the whole time since if Zuko lost he would most likely die without her healing him and her being there was also as backup since they didn't know Azula banished everyone who could help her cheat
Lightning isnt fast lightning benders in the show shoot the slowest lightning. Zuko had time to take 2 steps get in front of the lightning and partially redirect it. When ozai shot lightning at zuko he had time to redirect and think. And when ozai shot a bolt of lightning at aang the first time in the video aang had enough time to react and use airbending to get out and only when he got out did the lightning even strike.

The last agni kai between Zuko and Azula is one of the best and the sadest fights in the entire series. The music used for this is just perfect in showcasing the epicness as well as the sadness of the fight between the siblings. Also i feel like the bending styles have changed for both of them. Zuko is more in control while Azula's attacks are somewhat wild. It's crazy to see how things have changed for the two within a short time period.

But that doesn’t work anymore because for that strategy to work she needs to understand other people enough to predict their behaviour. She used the Avatar being alive to control Zuko but then Zuko
1) confessed to the Fire Lord
2) Defected and
3) Bested her in their next two confrontations
and to add insult to injury her friend and sidekick Mai
1) Betrayed her to save Zuko and
2) Explicitly told her “you miscalculated. I love Zuko, more than I fear you.”
while Tai Li betrayed Azula to save Mai. And those were the people she knew best the people she most controlled. And after that she snapped and tried to kill Zuko but failed and then Ozai decided not to take her with him to the final battle (for a fair and legitimate reason since someone needed to rule the Fire Nation in his absence). But she took exception to this decision and accused him of treating her “like Zuko” only for him to remind her of her place. And now Azula begins to realize how little control she actually has (like Oogway said in Kung Fu Panda your mind will not rest until you let go of the illusion of control) so she is desperately trying to reassert control by eliminating all uncontrollable factors
It always makes me sad to think that that was the incredible fire power the air nomads had to fight against when the war begun, and all things considered it seems they managed decently before falling, I mean gyatso defeated like 20 firebenders before passing away
Welcome to one of the most perfect endings of any show. Not just an ending or a two-parter, no 4 perfectly timed episodes including the cliffhangers.
Even here, you know how it should end, you know how you want it to end, but you don't know how it will end.
Sokka? The non-bender, but even so, with Suki on the tteam not the best fighter in the group is responsible for taking out the airship fleet. It took some time from the arrogant guy to learn, to grow, but when he began to learn and grow? He did so by leaps and bounds. Until he was the one everyone depended on to come up with a plan.
And no, for all her power and skill, Toph would have gotten in the way in this fight. She has the skill and ability to defeat the Firelord, but with the comet? She doesn't have the mobility. Even Aang, with mobility being his speciality can barely keep up with Ozai.
As for Zuko and Azula? While she was out of breath, Zuko was calm and in control. All the lessons Zuko learned from his Uncle to those from the Dragons allowed him to conserve his energy while Azula squandered it. And the look in her face when she realizes that her brother was matching and surpassing her? Another crack in her psyche. Also, the visual and the music? Perfection.
The final episode is so beautiful. I love the comedy on this show, but this last episode really demonstrates that this show is more than just the bits. It’s about the art and the love and the passion.
Also, I really like the way they portrayed Azula's downward spiral. We know that Mai and Ty Lee were mostly "loyal" to her out of fear, but in her mind they were her closest friends so it would make sense that their betrayal would shake her to her core and cause her a ton of issues. After all, if you can't trust your best friends, who can you trust?
For my suggestion: After the last airbender, you should react to the legend of korra. its not better than avatar but its really good and fun to watch.
The Agni Kai soundtrack for Zuko and azula is truly majestic, so powerful
This was one of my absolute favorite best fight scenes ever airing on Nickelodeon between aang and ozani plus After Azula’s defeat, it is i had read in the comic book The Promise that she was admitted into a mental institution in the Fire Nation due to her poor mental state, possibly schizophrenia. Both in the series and the comics, she is shown to be disturbed by frequent hallucinations of her mother.
Remember when Zuko couldn't even hold a candle to Azula? Now look at him. Matching her blow for blow.
Ozai is so fuckN broken with the comet amp his fire blast was equal if not bigger to all the airships with guys on it😭😂It’s crazy how powerful they become even Iroh they’ve tried for years to get into the walls but the amp of the comet he just 1 shots it🤣
7:55 perfect example of how much power the comet actually gives to firebenders...Iroh besieged Ba Sing Se for years and couldn't get through the wall but took it down with one blow with the power from the comet
One of my favorite arcs of the third book is Azula's slip into insanity. I also love that Zuko jumped in front of the lightning to protect Katara. That was the completion of him turning good.
A thought that someone else pointed out in a TH-cam comment. The Agni Kai is a duel of honor between two firebenders. It could arguably be called the ultimate show of honor in all of Fire Nation culture. But every Agni Kai we see in the show, every. Single. One.

I just love how the music during the Agni Kai wasn't triumphant, it was sad. These are two siblings who should love each other, but their father broke their relationship beyond repair and drove them apart and now they're forced to fight. This show is a gem.

Zuko taking the hit for katara shows how he really has changed from when we first saw him and how he was. This show is almost over but we do have other avatar shows if you would want to watch it I'm not saying you should btw.
So I would like to point out that back in season 1 episode 3, Monk Gyatso was found with 10+ firebenders. if you look back at his clothes they show no sign of scorched marks and his wooden medallion was still intact. this shows us that Monk Gyasto was such a master airbender that he took out multiple comet-fueled firebenders with him. Respect to Monk Gyatso!
The Last Agni Kai is the peak of the entire series from a visual perspective imo. The animation is absolutely stunning start to finish and the music for it gives me absolute chills.

Oh, that last agni kai is just 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 one of the best fights in the series. That soundtrack is beautiful.
I love the tragic music that goes with Zuko and Azula's fight. The animators could have used epic, pump-up fight music, but instead they chose to highlight the tragedy of two siblings pitted against each other, the tragedy of Azula being only 14 but so corrupt and broken. You can see that Zuko wishes it didn't have to be this way. His father and sister have hurt him so much, and he's resolved to fight Azula, but he still wishes things were different.

When you think about how Azulon and Ozai favored her and how she was raised alone by Ozai since she was 11 (we know she's 14 when she was first introduced at the end of season 1 and we know Zuko has been searching for the Avatar for at least 3 years) it makes sense how she turned out the way she did and how she quite literally shattered under the pressure.
The finals battles were just beautiful of climax and emotion as the Hundred Year War nears its end.

Also now we know why they decided to make Azula's fire blue, it doesn't actually burn any hotter than any other firebenders' fire, but it does make for an incredible visual for the Last Agni Ki

Really recommend The Dragon Prince after you finish this series! One of the main characters is a voice actor from this series. I think it also has a writer from this show.

It's funny how action scenes have escalated over the course of the series. We've gone from Sokka vs Zuko at the south pole to Zuko vs Azula during Sozin's Comet. Comparing those two gives such a strong contrast in both power and tone.

I think legend of Korra would be the logical next move, but there's loads of great animated series as renowned as this, gravity falls is great, the owl house is amazing, arcane is insanely good and has a very unique art style, disenchantment is really underrated and is kind of an episodic period comedy but also has a really intruiging mystery storyline underneath it. Final space is amazing but it's hard to get it in the US since HBO max has been cancelling shoes and removing them from everywhere left and right.
Ozai manipulated Azula into thinking her mother hated her, but that could not be further from the truth! Ursa loved Azula just as much as she loved Zuko, Ozai just wanted to make sure Azula became an emotionless killing machine!
Ozai didn't allow Ursa to spend as much time with Azula as she was allowed to spend with Zuko, because then Azula would have grown up to be "weak" and "shameful"! Zuko was already a lost cause since he wasn't a "firebending prodigy" like his sister, so who gives a shit if he grows up to be "weak" and "shameful"?
