Best AFL content creator bar none. Always quality over quantity which makes every single upload phenomenal. I still think your best work was how a kick cost GWS a premiership which you referred to in this vid. It's amazing how all of these events come around full circle affecting all the clubs. It truly is a beautifully cruel game.
As a Dees fan, it's tough looking back on this disgraceful part of our history. Like many footy controversies, the suits like Cameron Schwab escaped the repercussions of their actions for years whilst the MFC football department rotted, player development stagnated, and on field performance was horrible. Absolute mismanagement from the top (much like the Essendon Drug Scandal/Carlton in general) which serviced only their financial goals, and not the on-field performance. As is typically the case, it is not the players or the coaching staff (most of them anyway) that are at fault (though in this case there's been clear collusion), but the suits; and for their actions fans and players suffered for years. The moral you can get from stories like this is that when looking for fault in a club's poor performance (on- and off-field), always look to the top to see why decisions are being made the way they are, and who is making those decisions.

hey man, brilliant video as always! i was wondering if you could make a video on fremantle and how they were constantly successful from 2012-15, but never won a flag and then dropped off. there’s an interesting story there
How about a video about Carlton tanking to get Kruezer when they left Fev on the bench at 3/4 time when he had 6 goals, he also unnecessarily missed games through surgery on a broken finger. Or how about when Collingwood tanked to get a priority pick to get Daisy Thomas and Pendles and left Buckley at full forward when he hadn’t played there. Heaps of clubs did it, not just Melbourne but Melbourne was the only one fined. Tony Liberatore even said Carlton tanked and he was an assistant coach there at the time.
Jagger, I would love to collaborate with you on a video about Geelong and their rebuild in the 2000s, because most of the players from that era were actually from Geelong themselves/ Title it something like "The Day that Sleepy Hollow Awoke Again", but regardless I would love to help you with it.
Hey Jagger, absolutely love your content and the Crom. No pressure at all on this, but given the controversy over the weekend I thought of a topic that might be worth looking into if you’re interested: ‘Where would Adelaide be if all the apologies given to them in the past by the AFL from poor umpiring decisions were adjudicated correctly?’
As a Demons man of more than 30 years, I can say you basically nailed most of it. That said, I think more attention could have been paid to the ‘Hollywood Boulevarde’ clique of retired players and hangers on who had an outsourced influence on the joint between 2008 and 2013. There was a reason why Chris Connolly was incredulously given a job as head of football almost as a consolation prize after losing out to Bails on the head coaching position. It was because of the culture of cronyism and insularity that Peter Jackson identified as soon as he was appointed and, as uncomfortable as this is to say, that Jimmy helped to enable.
heart breaking for thje players being told that you are not trying when you are not being given the essential tools. good vid cheers i will definitely check out your others.
If I could suggest a topic, perhaps a video of the premiership contending teams of days gone by, such as the crows of the mid 2000s, or the bulldogs of the late 2000s.
It's a shame Melbourne were so bad during that time, never got to see what Tom Scully and Jack Trengove could have really been like if they managed to go to a club that was on the rise.
looking at West Coast right now, they're pitiful, but even as a kid at the time, I could tell just how utterly horrific the Demons were. I don't think we'll ever see a team bottom out as badly as they did in the late 2000s to early 2010s.
Such painful times. Still fresh in my mind. I remember the big debate in the AFL media regarding which "basketcase" side would make it. Richmolnd or Melbourne?
You should make a video about the 2018 eagles premiership, or their 2010 season where they finished last, only to rebound in 2011 (losing deliberately?). Both very fascinating stories...
