@@atanaZion It wasn't too bad, BUT it started you out in the woods finding 8 pieces of paper. It didn't have context to why you were there, or anything else. Meanwhile, Arrival gave you context why you're there. Why you're running from Slenderman. What has happened to others and concludes all stories rather nicely.
Thank god for no commentary gameplay! It makes the game much more immersive and atmospheric when there is no dialogue being said. The section where you have to explore the abandoned mine with the generators is the scariest part of the game in my opinion. It still makes me antsy all these years later watching someone else play it. I think the pressure of both the Proxy and Slenderman potentially tag-teaming in order to kill the player makes this very unnerving. The part where you have to lock all the windows and doors of the house was also anxiety inducing.
Since i found out silent hills wasnt coming out after all i needed another survival horror fix for ps4. thats when I found this game. though it's short it pretty much did its job of scaring me. in fact if i play this by myself i have to talk to myself so i can think someone else is with me lol.
These games on this channel feel so real because they were playing for their lives and recorded in real time. You see the interference inside their heads. The burning body under the message “I failed you”. It was David’s body but possessed by James the rat demon. You hear the voice change on the recording eventually switching to a shrill. David wanted that jerk to experience the pain of being burned to death so he grabbed onto the rat as long as he could. Then the rat jumped to that dirty nurse doll thing. The voice was so fake.
Poor Charlie, he didn’t deserve this. He didn’t deserve to get caught by that monster. This is why young children should not go far away from parents and don’t speak with strangers.
Tho the game is short, it really did an amazing job of scaring me. Especially the VCR part. I do hope they make a sequel to this game and add story references to the first.

Wow, I had this game underrated for years! I looked up a quick youtube clip of the ending one time, said meh, and that was that. For some reason I came across this and watched it, WOW. The pacing, atmosphere, mood, it was chilling! From some small indie team! Easily one of the most scariest games I have ever seen or played. I prefer to watch play throughs than actually play video games now (yah I know weird), and this was no joke. I googled scariest games of all time after watching this to see where it was ranked, and of course it wasn't your normal dead spaces and resident evils topped the list. But for me, I would put this at number 2, with only the original silent hill scaring the living daylights out of me as a child. A few other notable games I can think of off the top of my head.. Layers of Fear was good, and of course Outlast. But this was different. WELL DONE BLUE ISLE STUDIOS. You captured this story very well.
