God is not the author of sickness. Sickness was part of the “death” that entered in through Adam. Healing was included at the cross in Christ. God is healer and I don’t believe sickness is used to discipline anyone. Holy Spirit is how He speaks to us and He is our teacher. I don’t believe it’s the nature of a loving Father to say I’ll use sickness to teach my child discipline.
