Mary Lavergne, I would really appreciate if you can answer my question. How is one supposed to prepare for this? I know EPS has an orientation for their physical test. Do we have something like that?
Andrew- it is not a push-up but a 'controlled fall' that must be performed. Chest, hips and thighs must come into contact with the mat. As for the jumping of the barrier a minimum of one hand must remain on the bar. You may use your feet, legs, both hands etc as long as you land on both feet on the other side. I hope this helps clarify certain visual limitations. Note- This was a practice run
MrB1gg... I encourage you to attempt the PARE. The PARE is a minimum physical standard. I appreciate your taking the time to view my video. Hopefully you will be running with them and not away from them. Cheers
if you passed the physical and puked afterwards would that be a fail?I did mine with a time of 4:16 but touched the jump marker causing final time to be 4:21. i never felt sick i was just wondering.
Question: For the push and pull of 70 lbs what resistance exercises do you recommend doing. I have ALWAYS wanted to be a cop however i am only 95 lbs and this particular part of the PARE seems difficult for someone my size. will having a low body weight affect whether or not this is possible for someone such as myself?
Hi, I'm 14 and in the future I want to join the RCMP. I kind of want to start getting into shape now so is there anything that would help me do that? And how many laps around the course was that? And what about the push and pull?
Skye Gibbens The RCMP (police in general) is a typical scapegoat for disgruntled citizens. You need to be willing to accept the ignorance and skepticism from the misinformed and sometimes criminal public. Being a mountie is not a popular occupation, but it's proud and rewarding. If you wish to serve your country, and make it a better place. The RCMP or any other police, fire, EMS agency is a great route. -From a firefighter
Join a gym, run outside, anything to be active ! Super important to stay in shape because the training is very intense at depot. The PARE is 6 laps, of course all info is on the rcmp website as well. Cheers! Also keep your nose clean and stay away from the wrong crowd
Actually I was thinking that it is not hard at all. When I did it, It was very hard. In 2.5 minutes you will feel very tired and dry mouth and heart bit goes up to extreme, legs start to hurt. Ravinder it is not 2:30 minutes. It is 4 minutes and 45 seconds, but this 4 minutes is like 4 hours to the body.
It's funny how people who never ran this trash it. I guarantee that anyone who doesn't exercise regularly for minimum of 6 months no mater the age can't pass this physical. I am 30 and when I did my test there was 30% success rate and the rest puked or gave up half way. It is much harder then it looks, by lap 3 you are dead tiered as you can tell she was as well. I completed my pare in 3:00 even and I exercises 5-6 times a week at high intensity for 6 months. I did stairs lots of them ;)
You’re weak man hahah trust me this nothing compared to what real soldiers can do just because something is hard for you doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone cheers
I'm not saying it isn't a tough test, but I passed the POPAT (an even harder version of the PARE) with only two months of training. Your numbers are inflated.
@@tuneunleashed He's overexaggerating just a bit. I would say I am moderately active, most of my exercise comes from my job which is really just lots of walking. Every so often I would hop on my exercise bike for a bit, nothing crazy, other then that I did absolutely no physical training or preparation. Passed with a more average score of 4:22 seconds today with no faults. A good portion of it is mental, being able to push through the pain, and pacing yourself during the 6 laps. Sprinting is absolutely not needed, just a consistent jogging pace. Some people under-estimate it with a cocky attitude, which is a bad sign. But its not THAT hard.
I did it in 4:20 with a broken knee a few brpken ribs and blister under my feat because we ha to do the 10km run in under 50 minutes in snow and sluzh i passed both tests
Proud of myself and earning the new nickname sniper after sheooting all head shots in pei at the academy my parter never shot in aw and didn't place a shot
i did 3:20 on this and I'm a smoker, but i failed the prep test, i think prep is more difficult than PARE, because in prep test you have to do a shuttle run after you complete the obstacle course.
Question: I live Toronto Canada and I am thinking about becoming a border officer. I want to know if I need to do a prep test as well as the P.A.R.E test. Because I know what you mean in regards to how difficult the shuttle run is. I've done it before and I'm hoping that it is not in the physical requirements to become a border officer.
Where is this taken place? I will pass mine in 3-4 weeks. I've been going to the gym, doing cardio/weight lifting for a week now (although, I've been doing sports for over 10 years, including dancing/Pilates/hiking). The only thing that is preoccupying me is my weight. I weigh 42kg (I'm very petite) and the lifting/pushing/pulling is something that is giving me nightmares at night.
Can't find the firearms education in RCMP by the way.. I am just wondering about that, because I hardly doubt that I will pass this exact test, but it would have been interesting to watch some shooting tests because as I have a huge experience with firearms and insane capabilities with them(noone ever believed my words until they have seen everything with their own eyes, being shocked every time)-so just interesting.. Unfortunately or not I will never be an RCMP officer first of all because I am too old,and a secondly because I just arrived to Canada a year ago,and at least I am glad with my job(not actually a job because it's a business)..But I am the guy who wants to know more every single day of his life🤠
i just dont like the fact that she cant jump the little wall like her feet get caught, and doesnt do push ups.. but is in the air and bent before she even comes up all the way
The pasty donut munchers I see on the job couldn't pass this test if their life depended on it. I did the same test for correctional officer duty at the age of 49, and the only candidates that could beat me were at least twenty years younger.
What needs to be apart of the test, is a free for all bar fight... or at least some type of fighting... this whole test is a giant joke, the PREP test is a joke, and the Reserves is an even bigger joke
Understand that this test doesnt qualify you to be an RCMP... Its simply one of many qualifications to get you into depot. Depot lasts 6 months and is exponentially harder. This test, just like the physical exam you take from a doctor during the interview process of your application are merely to conceit that you are in a healthy state and wont die during depot when youre training.
The rcmp application process is a joke. I was 22 when I applied, in great physical shape and good in school. I was declined because I smoked weed when I was 17 and deemed unfit. Lol I laughed in their face. Now I’m far better off than the rcmp. Thank god I didn’t get in.
AnonymousX well I’m 26 now and have a few businesses under my name. If I got in the rcmp I’d be rotting somewhere in Manitoba, and certainly not driving a brand new s7. Their loss not mine
It was a PRACTICE run. I did 3:20 after. Thanks for watching :)
Mary Lavergne, I would really appreciate if you can answer my question. How is one supposed to prepare for this? I know EPS has an orientation for their physical test. Do we have something like that?
Was the power training machine too heavy to move? Can I guy weighing 120 lbs do it?
You are amazing! Which force were you applying for stp? Merci
If that was you then u are Weak
Hope this video will help you all ! :) As Paul mentioned, it was a practice. I did 3:20 on the real one.
Mary Lavergne Good job Mary !! Paul est un excellent professeur!
Mary Lavergne. How many rounds do you have to run ? I really want to prepare myself for this test as I'm planning to apply for RCMP soon.
baseer rahimi 6 rounds
I'm researching for a comic book about the RCMP and this was very helpful. Thanks.
You are Killer! :)
This looks tough but I think it might be a bit more manageable than that damn shuttle run beep test!
True
Don’t be fat, and this garbage is easy... these tests are jokes
Just need good stamina for this

yuuup im getting there! been a welder for 4 years now im hitting the gym each 2 days so i can have my dream job!
Hope you got it!
It's been 5 years dude, where you at?!
This test is timed, and mandatory? Similar to RCMP.
MrB1gg... I encourage you to attempt the PARE. The PARE is a minimum physical standard. I appreciate your taking the time to view my video. Hopefully you will be running with them and not away from them. Cheers
That's why i keep getting away from the cops
Qhahaaha
Question, how far of a distance does the first running portion of the obstacle course cover?
400 meters I believe
if you passed the physical and puked afterwards would that be a fail?I did mine with a time of 4:16 but touched the jump marker causing final time to be 4:21. i never felt sick i was just wondering.

will having a low body weight affect whether or not this is possible for someone such as myself?
Clearing snow with a scoop .. piling it into a mtn & the resistance increases as the mtn grows lol it’s works
Be creative

Yea :) I Have been wanting to be a RCMP officer for 2-3 years now and I wanna know more info about it Steve Donaghey
Awesome! It is a great profession. If you have some fitness, dietary, or general questions shoot me a personal message. :)
Ok thanks :) Steve Donaghey

this is my dream job, like to be an RCMP officer 😊 for a year now already!
And now, 5 years later, what are you doing?
@@nikolai3620 working in Tim Hortons making coffee for the officers.
Are you just going from one PARE video to the next and commenting on every single one of them?

if im using -4 power eye glases can I pass eye vision test of police recruitment in canada
NO
how hard is this test i know the time is 2:30 ish
Is POPAT more difficulty than PARE or both are the same?
Did mine today in 3:10. 5'8 175 lbs male
Wahooo... That's the next step for me! Fingers crossed. Did this chick actually pass as her mat jump I don't think she is clearing!
It's 4:45 for RCMP and CBSA. Get your shit straight.

I smoke 5 to 10 cigars a day and I am 51. Will I pass the PARE?

This is taunting people, not testing. Most of the current officers are sitting drinking coffee in their offices and not doing all this.
Is it the same for men ?
Your are wrong my friend. I was told to do this test, by the correction services and that was 1 month ago.
This would be a fail, right? I mean she didn't even come close to making the jump.
are you supposed to clear the carpet/aquare on the ground completely? because she clearly did not.
+Derantin Galien Yes you must clear the 5 ft mat. If you don't you will be penalized 5 seconds.
Did you get in? Im at BGI
Was she trying to do a push up ?
No, a “controlled fall”

It's the landshark I'd be worried about there. ;)
How much is the push and pull resistance
70 lbs
once again it was a PRACTICE ! thanks
Please advise where I can buy this Power control simulator? Thanks
