I bought a Perkins like yours that was rebuilt for a boat application. It doesn't have a flywheel , bell housing. What vehicles in the USA came with these engines so I can find the parts to put it in a truck?
Do alot of perkins smoke like this? I have a 4cyl on a chipper and it smokes the same no matter ambient temp etc im thinking the injection pump is shot but not sure.
This engine was never sold in a road going application in the US. It can be found in Massey Ferguson tractors, many brands of combines and possibly other heavy equipment. There was an early CJ series Jeep sold with a 4 cylinder perkins but it is very rare. I have read somewhere that perkins no longer supports this engine. production ended in the 90's on it. Rebuild kits are going to be hard to get in the near future.

This engine in NOT a Perkins 6.354. It's a Perkins 6.372. It has a larger bore and has subtle differences to the 354.
0BMM1 . In mexico this engine is real popular and you can can find parts all your parts.including flyweel and bellhousing.

It should be an SAE bolt pattern. Measure how wide the bolt circle is and look at SAE #2 and #3. There should be lots of adapters.

I am truing to adjust the main fuel on my Perkins and this is the only one I can find with the same injection pump ...do you know how?
