Sorry about that maggie. Watoto ni wa mungu. As a mum of four,i can give a tip. Always. ALWAYS have a first aid kit from the pharmacy in the house and travel with one too. Add basics like calpol zyrtec or any allergy medicine if your child has any. In the first aid box add silverex cream. Its for burns. Its good to have at home too if you burn yourself in the kitchen. Kids get unexpected injuries at home or while travelling. It comes handy.
All in all may the little prince get well soon.
Very Important information here for mums
Sudocrem was my go to.Its an antiseptic healing cream good for minor burns,nappy rash,sunburn and even eczema.

Let me share this it may help someone. Am a nurse by profession. The best first aid for burns is soaking the burnt area in cold water constantly changing the water if it warms up. I have tried it and its saved the day. I got burn by hot tea and with this first aid I did not get even a scald.
Its the heat on the burnt area that results in scalds opposed to the boiling water so if you can stop the heat effect on the burnt area even the skin wouldnt break. Hope am clear. Just sharing it may help someone someday since this really works.
Say in this case the nanny on noticing what happen she should have run with baby fast to tap run cold water the foot long enough it would have made a big differnce.

Hope baby is feeling better. I did notice that your previous nanny was really shy and young. It's good that you've gotten a more mature one. I hope they are trained on first aid as well, coz mtoto akichomeka mguu the first thing she should have done is remove the socks. If they are not trained on first aid, you should consider taking her. Especially now that baby is about to start eating solids.
Plus when they start walking and always putting things in their mouth.. kidogo first aid tips on chocking too

@@nq4733 St. John's where we went for training told us to remove the item of clothing immediately since it soaks up the hot water. They equated it to soaking a cloth in hot water and placing it on the skin. The longer it's there the more it burns him. Also, you really should not dip a baby's feet in cold water coz baridi huingia kwa miguu. Hii yako ya mguu ya mtoto ikae soaked kwa maji baridi for 1 hour or more while you drive to hospital sijaskia. Hiyo ni homa unatafuta. You are trying to "solve" one problem while creating another. Anyway, mtoto ni wako, so you do you.

I would advise to always put your hand over your son in the morning before leaving him comit him in God's hands. because you can not control what happens but he will be forever safe in his heavenly father's hands and this will give you peace wherever you go .
And againI would like you to know that when we are saying that your vlogs are so therapeutic is not because we want to be positive or encouraging.
This is really true❤ usually when I get nerves after an hectic day I go and rewatch any of Maggie's vlogs and I feel relaxed😅

It's helpful also to take a Tbsp of apple cider vinegar & a tall glass of water after your last meal. 400ml to 500ml of water so it does not affect the enamel of your teeth. Helps in the metabolism of carbohydrates.

I've learnt that it's helpful to inquire if nannies or house managers have gotten first aid training. If not, it's good to get them trained and certified. I know AAR had such at a fee of 2800/-. I'm not aware if they changed their fee. It usually runs for 8hrs. There are several others.

Wishing your boy a speedy recovery. He should be put in those baby high chairs/the floor/ those kiddy play areas. You could also put him down for some tummy time on the floor-away from furniture as they usually grab on to it as they practice standing & walking

I usually tell my nanny that its okay to let the baby cry for a minute but dont multitask when holding the baby because your attention is divided kwanza with anything to do with fire and hot stuff ama sharp stuff. Sorry for your son wish him quick recovery..i experienced the same with my baby girl but at least wangu alifanya first aid b4 got home burn hugogewa mayai mbichi una spread...my advice would be ni kama burn haikuwa deep sana ama ikikaribia kupona jaribu kuikeep open that is if u r not going for dressing daily alafu avoid nguo mzito sana ndio asi sweat sana it helps alot it shall be well watoi huheal haraka sana

Wishing your baby a quick recovery...as a ftm with another baby on the way i can imagine the pain of a nanny hurting your baby..i remember when i was due to report bck for work,i decided to get a second maid because I didn't want one maid to be overwhelmed with the baby..because my rule is if u are holding the baby u r not suppose to even be in the kitchen...
