I gave birth to my daughter when I was 21 and let me tell you Maina, I was definitely not ready so I agree with Maggie. Motherhood hit me like a slap in the face even though I love my girl. I was also definitely with the wrong partner. I usually tell people to take their time cause even now at 30 I still haven't met my life partner and I'm not in a rush. Parenthood is such a great responsibility. I was blessed to have supportive parents so I was able to finish uni and do all the other things people do in their 20s like dating and such, but I don't advise on settling down so early.

I gave birth to first born at 24 who is 14 now❤ second born 28 and then Niko na 9 months olds❤..all C's..hapo ndio tuko na baraka za bwana yesu😊😊
Aaah nice turning 33 too in may.... Marriage needs so much of loyalty, faithfulness and trust .. I too got married at 28yrs but it only lasted for one year already finalized my divorce but am now happy and very comfortable.

For talking about postpartum depression, I am a first time mummy and I rem taking my son to my brother and sat in the bathroom crying, my baby wouldn't sleep at night I felt overwhelmed plus all that that was happening to my body was unbelievable. Thank you for encouraging us really ❤️❤️

I don't think anyone can ever be ready for motherhood, no matter the age. Maybe, when are older, you prepare better, when you are younger, your body bounces back better. I agree with you though that 20s are the time to build yourself. My friends who got married earlier have teenagers and I envy, they also envy cos they feel I have got it all. I got married when I was 28, had my first child at 30 and even though I took a four year break from my career to have my children, I was able to get back to work and a career.
