Dave Thompson I mean for backyard cricket with a tennis ball I don't think it's that necessary but funnily enough I may well soon be getting a motor cylinder mower! ;)
Ishaq Brais Roughly an hour and a half, but remember it is a lengthy process and the perfect pitch will require rolling and more mowing the day after!!
anthonyaldousgaming1 Not completely necessary but you could use a wheelbarrow but you could also just ensure the pitch is dry by keeping moisture of it. Thanks for the comment XD
anthonyaldousgaming1 the grass itself doesn't hugely matter as long as the soil is dry and the grass is cut low. You could fertilise the grass before and after you start up the pitch- as in once in the spring and once in winter. P
We love cricket Thanks for the comment. The push mower ensures there is a finer cut before using the rotary mower which also means that the pitch will be more healthy when finished, and less dusty when using!!:)
Going over straight away with the petrol mower can damage the grass, as it's too long for the rotary mower to cut closely. Therefore, cutting with a cylinder first gets the grass shorter and finer; meaning a better cut when using the petrol mower. Thanks for watching!! :)
That kid did alot of work
A future groundsman right there!
Great stuff, I enjoyed that video, enjoy your cricket
Great Job buddy! Looks great.
Spectacular
Good work mate
You need to get yourself a 2nd hand Ransomes Ajax MKIII cylinder mower to finish it off and maintain it. They cut down to about 4mm.

How much does the roller weigh? And was the lawn wet before you used the roller?
Cricket is the best game in the world when played with a tennis ball.
She’s a bit green
InedibleTurnip Most pitches in England Are,)
eelm just a bit
Where did you get that roller from?
Bro you are amazing👍, really Awesome video👍.
Thanks mate:)
indeed a hard work
Did you use your existing lawn or overseed with cricket seed?
are u an aussie mate
Jack Stephens no, I'm from England mate
How long did it take mate
Ishaq Brais Roughly an hour and a half, but remember it is a lengthy process and the perfect pitch will require rolling and more mowing the day after!!
I make my pitch just by cutting it with a mower and mow it very short but is is very very green
Does it play well?
Yes for a bowler it does every well
awesome vid i liked and subscribed to your channel
Brookes Boys cheers mate!!
could you sub to mine please
i mean my channel
Hey what was the first machine u used
Every aussie has a half taped cricket ball
lockster3 Being from England with the greener pitches and half-taped ball, it's a bowlers game;)
lockster3 I'm an Aussie never had one lol
This is great mate have a look at my pitch it on a video 👍 cheers
Nice pitch mate
@@samuelwhite6529 thanks
where can you buy a roller to flatten out the grass
Amos Doyle search online and you may be able to pick one up.
Where do you get the roller
Are you gonna upload more games?
If there is no grass is it okay
What if you dont have a roller
anthonyaldousgaming1 Not completely necessary but you could use a wheelbarrow but you could also just ensure the pitch is dry by keeping moisture of it. Thanks for the comment XD
Samuel White what if the is not the best
anthonyaldousgaming1 what do you mean?

My ground has so much waist how to remove it
Are you an Aussie mate
English 👍
Mate just saying you gotta wet the pitch before rolling it
Not in england
Nice video. Those wide lines are tiny tho #batsmansgame
ham2ah Thanks for the comment. I have started to paint them wider although I did find that it's a great test of accuracy for the bowler!!:)
@@samuelwhite6529 neighbors in US Canada be like what on earth is this boi 👦🏼 doin with the mower 🤔🤨
@@samuelwhite6529 does it work for leather/season/cricket ball as well?
Or only suitable for tennis ball
How long is it?
Kasim Al Jassim I don't know but it doesn't really matter as long as there's enough space to bowl quickly :)
does it still work in 2018
Legion of Pigs depends on the condition of the equipment and the weather
Why bother with the push mower mate ?
We love cricket Thanks for the comment. The push mower ensures there is a finer cut before using the rotary mower which also means that the pitch will be more healthy when finished, and less dusty when using!!:)
If you run straight over it with the other mower I don't see how it makes any difference at all?
Going over straight away with the petrol mower can damage the grass, as it's too long for the rotary mower to cut closely. Therefore, cutting with a cylinder first gets the grass shorter and finer; meaning a better cut when using the petrol mower. Thanks for watching!! :)
How technical...you're a future Lords curator mate 😉
3:41 bails didnt fall off
lmao
what does the roller do?
Hayden Dasey compact the soil; allowing a truer bounce.
Needs a drink then a roll
It's kind of funny how this is still better than Indian pitches.
What about Aussie wickets like the one at the mcg Boxing Day last year? English pitches are still best
I’ve got everything ecsept a roller
same here
2 bowl is not a wicket
I mean 2nd bowl doesn’t count
Sorry what do you mean?
Now I understand. The bails rule doesn't usually count when 1. You're playing on your own and 2. You are using a tennis ball XD
