I have the same car, and his review is questionable. The engine power is more than enough to move the car and it can easily keep up with anybody else. The fuel economy is very good and the wheels hold up very well. This is a very well made car, with tons of style and nothing else on the market even comes close.

Just saw a review on the newest model of this car (2018?), that one has a few more horsepower....like maybe all of, 4 than this car has.
Consensus seems to be that the 2.5 has the power of a 4 and the thirst of a 6.

Alright.... if you buy a coupe (any coupe) you should know from the start that it’s not a car to haul people or your kids around town. So I don’t get why every car reviewer on TH-cam keeps focusing on that. If you want plenty of back space buy a mini van or a big ass SUV 😒.

The only beetle convertible I would buy is the R line with black exterior/ interior.

New Beetle Interior is O.K. What we Käfer's Lovers can't stand is the exteror. VW could have done better to leave the exterior unchanged or at least done little, minimal, necesarry modifications. People have always loved the Käfer (Beetle) priciplally for its exterior.

sold it 3 years ago. VW diesel scandal cost us around $4k so No I won't come around over time. Or advise anyway to buy a VW!
why focus on a family of 4 its not a car like that and its not fore british people drive this up and down blackpool asking a family in tracky bottoms if they want a ride .
