I love how you turned the tower/silo into a barn for the animals. Once you paint the tower/silo it would be nice to see the name SHOOT DANG RANCH on it. You can always add some metal to the bottom of the silo so mice/snakes don't get in. Blessings Crocker's.
Boy that worked out great for a barn. Just love watching you guys make things out of nothing. You all are going to have a nice place when you get it done.
Suggestion: Perhaps you need a solar-powered Temp controlled roof exhaust fan in that grain silo. That place is going to cook whatever you keep in it. about $100.00 ... You're going to have cooked chicken one morning. The reason the bottom rotted out is that condensation builds on the inside at night i the summer
The first thing I’d have done was patch that hole in the roof. The snow and rain will make it a muddy mess. Your vision of making it into a barn was such a great idea. Why not add a half loft to store feed and hay? You already have a built in ladder. 👍
For SURE I'd build a 2nd floor, use the ladder to access, rig up a pulley system to bring hay/feed/straw up through that opening. The tanker is ready made for that. Sink 4x6's to stabilize the tank and support the floor- you'd have one heck of a barn.
Just a thought. You could get a roll of metal roof flashing and put around the outside bottom of the tank to help close the gap also. Might help keep critters out
Love it. You guys help me dream. Question: the tank, is it tall enough that you could put a loft in it? With the use of pulleys everything could be used to put bale's or feed above the pens. Just something to think about.
Just because Danielle is from Wisconsin doesn't mean she's stupid, to me she's smart, I am from Minnesota and cold is cold 🥶, girlfriend you know what cold is. I'm waiting for retirement and waiting to moveing south to the warmer weather... try lining up in the northern one winter!!! Not just a day or two a full on winter. You would change to you mind, n to saying their are not those who don't love 💓 this weather but there are those that can't wait for cold being 40 degrees
I was going to comment the same thing. If you build an upper level for storage for feed and hay you could always do a floor door to drop hay and feed through like my family did in the barn we had.
That's a great Idea, you know that reminded me. that's what my dad did on his farm when I was just a baby. We had sheep and we loved them so much. they paid for themselves as he sold their wool every year. more than 3 bags full too.
Looks awesome but personally I would extend the wood up the walls to about 6 feet, just because your not sure what that tank was used for and I would hate if the animals started licking the walls and got sick. Looking forward to seeing what you all do next.
Something else that could be put around the bottom - on the outside - bags of concrete mix. You can lay the bags around the circle and they will set up on their own as time goes on. Like a retaining wall, they may help keep water out as well as critters. Exciting!! Come to think of it - might be a solution for the outside base of the room built by Jason and Danielle.
looking good so far. You may need to put some rocks around the outside where the rusted out areas are to stop any critters digging through the dirt and getting in
I love to see you both on each other’s channels. I have 6 siblings, only one brother, and watching twins work together reminds me of my younger years, and projects we have done. I look forward to the three of you meet and conquer many challenges.
Love to see Brothers working together for the good of the Family !!! You've all had Amazing vision on building the Start of your Ranch !!!! Congratulations and God Bless !!!!
I am impressed with how far the straw stretched and will have to switch to that from the bags of compressed wood shavings for my horse's stall. The stable owner is very frugal with the amount of bedding he puts in the stalls and we horse owners supplement with shavings. The silo is moving along nicely and I like the way you thought outside the box to fix the rotten sides. Your goats are going to be very happy in their new abode.
For that center metal 'ladder', you could a make a hay feeder accessible to both pens that you could load from the front, without getting into the pens. Or attach the chickens' laying boxes, 2 on each level, with backs facing front of barn for flipping down and getting eggs. Wouldn't worry about that pipe yet. If it's not too thick and drillable, you could use it as a base to make a third pen for kidding or weaning.
Great job! Maybe you use auto body filler for the holes in the tank? Can’t wait to see the progress! My sons are done high school in June and we are moving to a farm also. Watching you guys work makes me so much more excited about my move!
I love it! Looks fantastic so far. Can't wait to see all your animals enjoying it. Solar light strings sounds perfect. Yes. Y'all can cook on that stove.
I love it!!! Reminds me of when I put the straw down for our baby calves on our family farm and would sit and hang out with them as a kid. I miss my farm. Great job guys!!!! It looks amazing. Bring on the animals!!👍 Love you all. Karen 😊
Jason looks great but I would highly suggest you going through that whole tank with a magnet to pick up any metal particles because the goats could eat them very easily. Cuz you know how goods are they eat anything! Also I do agree with another comment I read about using the upper space as a loft for hay and straw that would be a great idea! Good luck with the build it's all looking great!
The transformation is awesome! The animals will have a great home. Might wamt to consider putting larger rocks around oitside to keep predators out! Please check into getting some Muck boots or that type of boot for everyone, they are waterproof and insulated!
Looking good, Jared. I admire how you attack your projects. Can't wait to see the animals in their new home. BTW...not too dark for the camera. Can see just fine
Great build so far, guys! Jared made me laugh about the stuff on his face! Danielle hope you stayed warm enough! You're a breath of fresh air! Jason you're a trooper working with super cold hands! Looking forward to more progress :)
You guys amaze me at what you can do. Jared's house will be easy for you two. Keep on truckin' I love love watching your videos. God bless all of you and stay safe. Jodie from WEST Virginia!!
You are making very good use of what you have and that will meet the needs of the animals. If time and money permit I’d suggest making a loft over the stall area for storage.
Awesome job on converting the tank into a barn for the animals. Hope your properties sell soon so you can fulfill your dreams at the new property. Love your mom and dad you guys have wonderful parents. God bless you all.
I'm learning so much from Jared and Jason! I'm enjoying the builds. Getting ideas for myself. Hello to Danielle! Welcome to the family. 🤗 Love from Montverde, Florida 🌴
Here is a neat idea that I saw the other day about turning tires into chicken roosting boxes. They cut the tires in half and just mounted them on the sides of the barn and put straw in them. They had pictures of chickens roosting in them.
It finally got cold here and we got 6+in of snow. First time in a few years. That "not a grain silo" is looking good for what it's gonna be. All they need is the wind and weather off of em. God bless you all and keep you safe
Great job! You're living my dream :) I picked up outside solar motion activated lights for my house and they are great for when I take my dogs out at night, they light up the backyard like a football field. I have one inside my shed so when I open the door, the light comes on, the solar panel is of course on the outside of the shed with about a 15ft cord to the light.
FyI Jared when getting a Donkey they are herd animals so for it to be happy you will need two. Think about adopting a wild Burro. We have 1 and a mini donkey. 3 wild Mustangs who are all now gentled. Just a thought bc there are so many I'm holding right now. You guys did a nice job. Keep up the great work as always. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
Your all hard workers Jared, love to see the progress moving forward. Your going to have a really nice spot down the road. Take care and all the best. From South Western Ontario 🇨🇦
The barn looks great! The white metal did the trick on the bottom. Jared, your animals will love being safe and warm in their new quarters. Transplanted Floridians love looking at the snow remembering what it was like before our parents moved us. Be safe, take care and be proud of what you're accomplishing accomplishing. Love you guys! Blessings
Great idea and fast build - sure you don't think so, but you will see. Put some hardware cloth around the base of the metal and them get something to put it all the way around the building on the ground so predators can't dig in. Oh, and get a couple of full size donkeys. They can take care of most big predators.
Danielle it's 23 here in Wisconsin now feels like 16! Keep warm. You all are working so hard, the farm kids will love there new home. Jared, I'm sure your getting an electric fence to keep all the other animals away from yours😊 just so happy about your barn and everything else your all doing!! Looking so awesome!! Memories of my family ranch and playing with the baby pigs in Montana.
Jared, I’m loving what you are doing! And truly enjoying all the progress you, Jason and Danielle are making. When you vocalized your understanding of the need for masks it gave me hope you might actually start wearing one when it is needed. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be safer. I imagine Danielle has stressed the medical necessity of masks and simply doesn’t want to rock the boat by being more insistent against any resistance to wearing one. I understand that. My bringing up the masks comes from a place of genuine concern and caring. I have never met you folks and only “know” you as far as your videos allow. And that exposure is enough to know you are good people and that following your stories on You Tube has been a fun journey. To not say something about my concern for you leaves me more uneasy than saying nothing. So, all that being said, please know it comes from a place of sincere and genuine concern for your overall health and well-being. Truly happy for all the recent good fortune and all the progress on your plans for your land. To see you all so excited and successfully plowing through your “To-Do” lists is so exciting and motivating. Watching your dreams come to life is a gift. Thank you for sharing your journey.❤️
I was going to suggest leaving the bullet holes, gives the place some character. Danielle, you look so friggin' happy at the end your smile is just contagious. Contagious in a good way...lol.
Looking Great!! Here's a idea! split a couple of pvc pipe from one end to the other then push on to the edges of the opening! would help to protect the animals from the ruff metal.
They have that lifting elevator type thing now for attics. It's push button, lowers down, you can ride up with it or have someone else up there to unload feed and hay, etc, bring it back down for next load. Very durable and safe. No need for steps up to the loft. @Jared Crocker, knowing you with your babies, you could put you a tent with mattress or a bed with an electric heater if it's cold and keep watch over all animals or if one is sick. The attic lift is the way to go IMO. GREAT JOB! ❤
Iam from30 miles south of Green Bay Wisconsin- Go Pack GO- Love watching U people - at 85 watching U guys is emtertaining and we always. Wish U Happy Progress
Looking so secure and cozy for the critters - so glad that old goat bg won't be joining your herd!! Lol Happy to see woodstove installed - def plus for all of you. Stay safe, warm and dry. 💕
The barn will need to be ventilated once the animals move in. Use the square hole in the ceiling for installing an electric fan when you install the lights. :)
Looks good. Tractor Supply is a rip off though when it comes to stuff like straw and hay. You're in farm country I'm sure there are feed stores there where you can buy a couple large bales of hay for less than you paid for that one. For the holes around the bottom of the 'silo' you could use cement at the base of the wall on the outside and for the bullet holes you could caulk them and then buy a bucket of rubberized roof patch and paint that over the holes. Looks good though. I think your critters will be happy with it.
I already suggested to Jason to use some of that extra dirt to pile on the outside of the barn to cover the gaping holes from the outside, just my suggestion 😉🥰 Paint the inside of the barn that pretty green Jason painted over with blue in his tiny room 😂, that color is beautiful and refreshing 🥰
The barn is looking good. For the outside rotted out areas, you can buy 18” aluminum flashing in a roll. Rivit it onto the tank. Since it is already curved it will go on easily. Just an idea if you are trying to figure out what to do on all the structures. New sub. Perhaps thin rolled steel would be better and cheaper.
I am so with Daniel, I moved from Wis in 98 to Ohio and I cannot do the cold anymore, I am always cold. You Guys are rocking the property, looking amazing. Job well done you all. Keep it up I am so excited for you all on your new Journey.
ShootDang ShootDang ShootDang Looking really great 👍🏻 you guys work great together teamwork makes the dream work have a great day love 💕 from Ohio Irene 🤘🏻💪💋🦅🇺🇸 going to look amazing 🤩 when you guys get done with it keep warm
Could you add a false ceiling loft area to store hay and feed.i wish you all would consider letting people join or help. It would ensure the build keeps momentum..Shootdang tv at its best...
Guys this is moving right along. So proud of you guys. You two work really well together. The snow is pretty, but I prefer Florida. Love you guys. God bless.
I keep forgetting to tell you guys you should get you some hand, feet, or body warmers that you just peel and stick on. They really work and would keep your feet warm or put in your gloves to keep you hands warm. The body warmers will keep whatever else is getting to cold. I wish you had a P.O. box we could send you some with some mask.
Looking good guys. Build a loft for storage next and you will have a platform to either install an exhaust fan or plug up the opening in the roof. Keep up the good work!
Great upcycle ♻️ makes a great barn! Y’all did a great job! You guys work great together. I love that Danielle is by the fire warming up, I’d be in the car with high heat, I’m a punk! 🤣🤣
I see snow flurries. Hope Danielle, well there she is with the snow flakes. This silo barn is large inside and will make a warm place for the animals when needed, to feed. Going to have sections inside too. Good plan.
You guys are hard work masters, but just a question, do you think maybe clear out all that rust on the floor before bringing your nice animals into a completely different environment, i hope everything works out for you guys, you have some great ideas 💡 for the property 😊👍💕💕💕
EXCITIIINNNGGGGG!! Yay for family. Great plan you have. all being together . So when you said $15 for the straw , I thought that was expensive, then you said that’s fairly cheap.Your build looks great, but I knew it would . 🙏🏼✌️Rosey 🇺🇸
I’d suggest wearing a mask or respirator when dealing with that dust, but I don’t think safety is in the Crockers vocabulary. The thing I don’t get is your being proud of throwing your health to the wind, which is surprising, given your dad’s recent health scare. I do like the storage container conversion into the barn. Clever use of existing structure. Are you planning an outer door to shut out more of the elements for them?
Warm weather will soon be back there what a great job on making that tank a barn. Me and was in a tornado in Harvest Alabama. In 2011. 42 houses were taken out of our neighborhood Always have a plan. Think about shelter.
Good stuff,,,, But I would suggest that you reinforce the bottom of the steel panels all the way into the ground where they are rusted out, (those pieces of plywood added no structural strength) otherwise you might come out one day and find your "barn" laying on it's side. Perhaps set 4x4 posts into the ground up against the walls and fasten wall to posts.
I love how you turned the tower/silo into a barn for the animals. Once you paint the tower/silo it would be nice to see the name SHOOT DANG RANCH on it. You can always add some metal to the bottom of the silo so mice/snakes don't get in. Blessings Crocker's.

CANVAS TENT CAN BE MADE INTO A ROLLING DOOR CLOSURE TO STOP THE ELEMENTS FROM BLOWING INSIDE THE BARN. ROLL FROM BOTTOM TO TOP WITH A ROPE.

Did that on the creek behind my home in Texas. Like stair steps.
Enjoying the transformation to your dreams
looking good so far. You may need to put some rocks around the outside where the rusted out areas are to stop any critters digging through the dirt and getting in
Good idea!
I was wondering about a row around the bottom edge with tin like Jason did in the shed to house , and then seal it from the inside too .
snakes can still easily get through the dirt and get to the livestock. Rocks is a great idea.
Electric fence so babes stay safe but I'm sure Jared and Jason have thought of it. 😊 really like the rock idea!!
Thats what I was thinking. Cover those openings more snakes & critters to get in

LOVE SEEING TWO BROTHERS WORKING TOGETHER AND DANIELLE HELPING. GET-ER-DONE.
Who needs solar lights? Danielle's smile lighting that place up like daytime!
Shootdang! That was a quick build. Looks good. I'm excited to see the animals arrive!
Good job! Danielle makes the day brighter amongst the work going on in the dark building 🙏🏻❤️love watching you guys work together.
Danielle, thinking maybe you have a nursing friend for Jared😍

Wow what an awesome transformation!! It's looking more like a new barn Everytime I watch!!! Great job guys!!! 💖👏💖💪
You guys are such hard workers. Loving the videos
Yes they are Hard Workers ❤️❤️
It finally got cold here and we got 6+in of snow. First time in a few years.

Jared, I’m loving what you are doing! And truly enjoying all the progress you, Jason and Danielle are making.
It’s exciting to watch what gets done in each episode. Love watching you guys. ♥️
I was going to suggest leaving the bullet holes, gives the place some character. Danielle, you look so friggin' happy at the end your smile is just contagious. Contagious in a good way...lol.
You 3 are straight up ranchers. It shows in all you do. You rock!
You guys could line the walls up so far with those cheaper cedar planks🤷🏼♀️. Looks good so far though!
Looking Great!! Here's a idea! split a couple of pvc pipe from one end to the other then push on to the edges of the opening! would help to protect the animals from the ruff metal.
The animals are going to love their new digs!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
They have that lifting elevator type thing now for attics. It's push button, lowers down, you can ride up with it or have someone else up there to unload feed and hay, etc, bring it back down for next load. Very durable and safe. No need for steps up to the loft. @Jared Crocker, knowing you with your babies, you could put you a tent with mattress or a bed with an electric heater if it's cold and keep watch over all animals or if one is sick. Glad to see Danielle there today hope she kept warm by the fire!! You guys are awesome!! XOXO
Donkeys are wonderful! We adopted ours from the donkey shelter in San Angelo, TX. Have to get at least 2 as donkeys need a companion.
Donkeys also make excellent guardians for the rest of the animals.
I love your barn! I worry about predators digging in to get at chickens.
Not with that donkey in there, they won't. That's another good thing about them. They'll chase coyotes away. Have a good day 😊
You guys just amaze me with what you have to work with. Great Jon, looks real fine can't wait tell you paint it and put in lighting.
Looking so secure and cozy for the critters - so glad that old goat bg won't be joining your herd!! Lol Happy to see woodstove installed - def plus for all of you. Stay safe, warm and dry. 💕

It's great when you can work together I bet it fills your Moms heart I know on the odd occasion my twins do anything together it fills my heart. Xx

The barn is coming along nicely. I'm glad you had a productive day.
Yall better spray paint the interior with a good primer....also, put a 10ft ceiling to help heat, cool it.
Barns coming along. Look forward to seeing the animals there. Have a blessed Sunday.

Looking great guys and gals! The OCD in me loves how you clean up everyday after working. Less clutter, better work space. Sorry just me. Keep at it.
Very cool 😎 guy's your animals are going to feel safe and secure especially from predators and the elements. 👍

So much done already! Looking great ☺️. We love watching the transformation!
It's looking good guys your animals will stay safe and warm.
Guys this is moving right along. So proud of you guys. You two work really well together. The snow is pretty, but I prefer Florida. Love you guys. God bless.
Yell are something special....what a good job !...it looks so cold ....but pretty...hugs
I think it looks really good and the animals will be very happy and warm. Great job x ❤️🇬🇧
Looking good guys. Build a loft for storage next and you will have a platform to either install an exhaust fan or plug up the opening in the roof. Keep up the good work!
The barn is awesome.
Take care of yourselves. ❤️❤️❤️
Seen your dad and Matt in the paddle boat ,glad to see he is up and feeling better ,Donna from Mississippi
Looking good! Y’all are hard workers! 😊
Wow! I am amazed that one bale of hay was enough. Great job. Looks good.
Hi Y'all. . . That is looking really good so far, and the goats will appreciate it.
I’m really impressed with how well it is coming together! Turned into a pretty good little barn!
Good work men! Very productive day! The snow is flying! I can see just fine in the barn! Not too dark.
For summer you will need a nice fan, maybe check into a solar fan that you can put in there. Cut a hole for ventilation vents as well.
Great job Jared & Jason . Love it . Go get warm now .Danielle please keep warm .
You guys are getting it! Looks great, you can certainly make that work. Better get out of the cold now!
Looks like a legit barn!😎👍❄️⛄️
Great use of a build that probably would have no other use. You could now use one of those other things as a feed or hay feeder. Great job guys!!!!
Good morning you ( 3 ) awesome People .... nice work on the Barn 😁🇺🇸🏆
