What would I love to see in the Sims 4? I would love to see More Hobbies, More Careers, More Possibilities for building on Islands and around islands. I would love Round Walls that don't glitch. I would love walls that could be bent inward or outward like we can do with roofs- That would be fun... It would also be nice to get Refreshes on the packs so that they work properly... Dreaming...
Speaking about Fairies, in some Fairy Tales, these Creatures have a special connection to Birds. The most Prominent example is probably from Hans Christian Andersens Thumbelina where the Bird she rescued during Winter, helps her escape her forced Marriage and brings her into the Land of Fairies. However, if I remember correctly, Birds don't call it that way. Or Pete Pan who can talk to Fairies and Birds, Birds are heavily connected to Fairies, but that Connection is just not very widely known today. So with a Fairy Pack could come the possibility of having Birds as a Pet or Companion. All Supernatural Packs are very heavily Connected and we already can have a Phoenix with the Spellcaster Pack, so more Birds with a Fairy Pack? I think that is a possibility, I mean they already work on Sims with Wings, so maybe they will expand the Phoenix Animation they already created. And by the Way, that Companion can save you from Death.
I'm still waiting on those sweet sweet hobbies. Freetime was my favorite expansion. (Could even make fixing up old cars as one 😅) If they had the same functionality as missyhissy's hobby mod but with new hobbies too, I'd consider it a win!
I don’t think an astrology pack would have enough material on its own to make it worth playing. But, I do agree that it would make a great addition to a “chemistry” system, as far as personal attraction and such. My theory is that an attraction/chemistry system is what the “beautiful SDX drop” will be. I think the little hints in the roadmap are pointing to that, especially the “W” necklace. W = whims
That one plant talking about your kingdom awaits may have been referencing the castle kit. And some seem a bit Alice (Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass). But yeah, a lot still seem to imply fairies and death.
idk if any of the fairies hints are hints tbh (but they will probs get in the game soon anyway), but the end-of-life stuff HAS to be a hint. the end tables!!!! definitely
Really, wrestling would actually be a fun career to add, I wouldn't mind if they added that to the game. It doesn't have to be a pack centered on it, just give us a career...actually while their at it, they could give us loads of new careers and I don't think it would be crazy hard to do, especially if they are all rabbithole style. I would love for a career revamp across all careers. My dream would be that we would be put into a career as part time/entry level, then work up towards full time through promotions and it can be all careers. I want a construction career mainly so I can have a sim that retires from being a lead person on a construction site instead of a sim stuck part time as a manual laborer.
In TS2, we had the pottery wheel that came with Freetime, and in TS3, a sculptor object, I think it came with Ambitions. They could add both of those in an art stuff pack and whatever else fits that type of pack. There could also be an aspiration that’s called the Artisan Crafter, which was the name of a lifetime reward in TS3, which focuses solely on Art (easel, pottery wheel, sculpting station, etc.) The TS4 team could even bring back the sewing machine from TS2 and maybe add it to a pack or even base game. There could be one you place on a desk or one like the TS2 version. So, definitely more stuff for hobbies. I have a list of 12 things that were in TS1, TS2, and TS3, but not TS4 and some of the things on that list would work with a hobbies SP, EP or GP: 11. Train sets (TS1, TS2 and TS3) - In TS3 they were for fairies only. TS1 had one that was just for kids and a bigger one for kids and adults. 8. something Golf related: mini golf (TS1), Execuputter (TS2), Golf Driving Range (TS3) There could becsome other things for the sports hobby, like tossing a football and tossing a ball (baseball), which were things you could do in TS2. They could even bring back the exercise bike, and the ability to jump rope from TS2 for a fitness hobby. Even the hobby car from TS2 could work for a tinkering hobby, and even if the car is not useable it could still be sold for money. There are already some things in the game that would work for a cooking hobby, film and literature hobby, and a science hobby. As for vehicles, I would like to see the scooters from TS3 brought back and maybe even a small scooter for kids that is not electric. They could also add skateboards as another mode of transportation. I know roller skating is in Seasons, but they could add roller skates and roller blades to the game as another mode of transportation. Yes, I know LittleMissSam has a mod for this, but not everyone has Seasons and/or plays on PC. There are other things, but I will save that for comment on another video.
The best thing about this video is enjoying right now but also knowing you can come back in a year and see if we were correct! I hadn’t realised how much death/ grim stuff had been hinted, I would put my bet on that being the next big pack. Though I do think fairies will be coming (mostly because I never thought we would get horses but by popular demand we did!) and I thought the same would happen with the fairies. I still doubt that we will get cars because it would be such a pain to route them to loads of the lots in game as they’re not all connected to roads.
I would love the have a Grim career so you could be trainee and work up to being an actual grim with unlockable outfits. Also hobbies yeah would love that. I never read the description of items often I will have a have a look at them in future. Yes please I'd love fairies/angels astrological fortune teller npc/genie type character too. love your vid as always and fingers crossed for everything you mentioned.
I need a death pack. Make cemetery lots and have funerals. Place flowers on Graves. Have gloomy sims frequent the lots more often. Maybe non played households Gravestones auto spawn in the cemetery.
I think those spider queen mentions (and maybe even the seller table) might be a reference to undertale? the way the spiders "talk" is very similar to the spiders in that game
I agree with your last point! I don't think something like romance should be tied behind a pack. Weddings is just on the line but also makes sense because there's so much you could do with a Wedding pack (MWS might not necessarily hit the mark for many but that's beside the point lol). That's my biggest criticism for Growing Together. There's stuff locked behind that pack that's kind of questionable and as a pack it's less about things to do and more about your Sims relationships (hence the name lol). But take the infant gameplay as an example. Toddlers stand well on their own outside of any packs but infants don't. There's so much gameplay exclusive to GRT that Infants can't even do some really basic things without it. Without Growing Together, there's no learning or development of Infants. They can't wave or dance or do things that every other life stage can do in the Base Game. If there was ever a pack I think is cash grabby, I'd say it's Growing Together but it also makes a difference if you're into family gameplay. If not you can skip it lol.
I would love a grimreaper pack and elders pack/career. If it was done well. But what I want is an overhaul of everything. So much was added over the years. And some stuff just does not make sense or got left out. They need to truly brainstorm and do one massive update. Like eating the bread, cheese, and milk when there are other leftovers! A reading overhaul, how many times has a sim read one book, or they done reading that book? We will never know!
I don’t want a “Grim” pack per say, just maybe a death pack that brings funerals, celebrations of life, ways to honor our sims that are gone, better cemetery systems, etc. I’m not really interested in a grim reaper job - unless they do something more realistic like working at a morgue or a funeral home. That would be fine lol
Honestly normally when people say the next pack is fairies they sound like Mr Crocker but actually this time I believe you. I also went through all the items and the curtain descriptions took me on a journey.
growing together also had a bunch of items that looked fairy like. a little mushroom house, fairy bears, drawings of fairies which it also had a lot of for horses 😉 i just think there’s too many references for them to not be coming
Before we get anything new I think we need a total overhaul of the game. There are so many things that need to be addressed before we add more. The game has been out 10yrs and it still has the problems of a 1yr old game. Especially with the amount of money us day 1 players have spent.
I would be very happy if we finally got an astrology and dating pack. I want a matchmaker and dating app and zodiac signs. I feel like that is always part of the sims world and needs to be included. I would like to see cars and a mechanic career. I feel like it's perfect for a stuff pack. A funeral and grim reaper pack would be interesting but not my first pick. I would love to finally have bands. I want drums, bass, cello, saxophone...pleasssee
wishful thinking time: People want lizards and small animals as pets but no one wants another my first pet stuff, right? Just refresh Outdoor Retreat, plz !!! Too lazy to give us terrariums? Just recolor the fish tank from Cats and Dogs and have it work the same but we the insects we can catch + the frogs. Also give us better interactions with it so you can feel like you are taking care of them and that’s it. They could add lizards and birds so you more of reason to go to the outdoor retreat world. You can “rescue” them from those stalls that sell stuff. You can go bird watching and get prints like the one in cats and dogs. Add that for insects and plants too. Allow you to research a certain type of bug in a computer or book or whatever and let your sim create one of those old-timey botanic illustrations prints of the insect/plant to hang in you wall.
I heard another TH-camr say that Fairies will never come to the game because "allegedly" an EA employee said that Fairies will be too hard for them to code into the game. Which I don't get why it would be too hard for them to code into the game because a Fairy is literally just a Sims with wings so how can it be that hard to code them into the game?
yeah im taking this with a pinch of salt. i feel like things can change as development goes along and so things do become possible/not possible over time
Bring back the alarm systems in the robbers also, we would like to have baby strollers for toddlers infants, and baby and newborns like Sims three has an a playpen and a walker, and a baby swing in little activities for toddlers to do like a play kitchen, and a make up set and coloring books in outside crawling tunnels, and baby monitors and baby bottle, warmers and walk, baby clutter, items, and nursery stuff to make better nurseries, ballerina bar, and after school activities for children, and which would also like to have home school and more events like a real baby shower with ultrasounds to see what the gender of the baby is and how many babies, trampolines and more whole careers, like daycare and a daycare van in cars so we could teach the teenagers how to drive and have the teenagers have license, and it will be nice to have activities for toddlers, and we will want to have preteens the next stage in age.
