In response to the dash glare, I had terrible dash glare on my car & put a custom dash mat (carpet) on the dash and it eliminated the glare, huge improvement 👍
Those seats are so freakin cool. I hope to actually see some of these on the road. I have never seen a v90 wagon on the road and it’s been out 2 /3 years now? I thought a new Mercedes wagon is rare. But not as elusive as the new Volvo wagons! Lol.
Ballong Pappan yes. lots of the 1st gen xc90. It’s a popular teenager college car right now. As a Tennessee dealer I sell plenty of those 1st gen xc60 is common too. The new xc60 and xc90 is starting to become popular. Especially the xc90. I have only seen 2 s90s
Top Tip: the dashboard distractions in the windshield can be mitigated (entirely almost) by wearing polarized sunglasses. Concerns related to the LCDs in the car not working with the polarization might not be a problem. New LCD displays should work with this type of sunglasses.
@@MikesCarInfo That would be because the HUD is still a reflection of a part down on (or in, rather) the dashboard (a screen, if you will). The rest of the LCDs on board in the car (gauge cluster or the infotainment) should not be affected.
I have a V50 T5, which is a fantastic car. I am yet to lay my eyes on a V60 here in New Zealand, but I am thinking the V60 will be a worthy replacement?
Hey Mike, I’m contemplating between the new G20 BMW 330i and the Volvo S60 T5. I intend to use the car for 10 years. Which of the two will be more reliable and age better with time?
The way it was explained to me, is that the speed limit is from the navigation, not necessarily reading signs. This is usually evident when I’m in an area where they’ve changed the speed limit. It usually takes a while for the system to update and reflect the correct limit.
The system can only display speed limit that it sees. You won’t expect it to change the displayed speed limit immediately when you turn into a street with a new speed limit.
It just uses the signs. It would probably be much better if it used a both signs and GPS. The last speed limit sign on the way to my house is in a school zone. The 35mph school zone sign stays on the dash for another 3 miles all the way to my driveway.
Head up displays suck...what for? Useless duplication and constant visual noise. On a fighter jet may make sense but on cars? And then if you opt for one then you can’t have a heated windscreen. And if you chose the winter pack then you get an handicapped one. Doh!
My dad is buying a Volvo V60 CC this week end, so excited!
