The cap is NOT vented. We recommend that you talk to the fuel tank manufacturer about how to vent their tank. Some companies/customers use a rollover style vent and others run a vent hose above the inlet of the fuel filler. Each tank is different so be sure to check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend.

Is that only for the driver side? I would prefer it to mount on the passenger side
The Chevy ones are designed for use on the drivers side. The Ford ones are three sided and can be used on either side.
