Thank you for the hallway idea. My puppy played fetch really well until kids were over and chased him around the yard. He would not bring the ball back after that and fetch became miserable. I played in the hallway with him 4-5 sessions and he's bringing the ball back again.

Great video…. We have a large fenced yard with multiple fruit trees. We have a new 3 1/2 puppy that it doing great with training, except the leave it. When he finds an old pit, we try to get them away, as they are not good for him. However, he has now started and loves the keep away game. While doing this, he is chewing and by the time we catch him, the pit is gone. YES - we have searched the yard to get old pits, but as in nature, we have missed a couple, which he is finding. HELP

Thank you! It's tough sometimes in those instances. In this case, I would turn and walk away from your pup. It will likely follow you and if it does then praise it for returning to you. If your pup thinks you are out to take its prized pit, then it will most likely keep away. However, if you can teach your pup to bring the pit to you and reward it for that, it will likely be eager to bring anything it finds straight back to you. Time and patience are key here.
