I use valkyre instead of the knight but gotta say this deck is outrageously good, makes mine look like child's play!
Valkrye works great in this deck! I like knight for the evo, but valkrye is a great choice too :)

I would recommend having a rocket instead of poison
@@BennyRoyale Most decks I go against have some form of mega knight, e barbs, witch, wizard, pekka, and it's just too difficult
Why use Poison instead of Fireball?
I prefer it right now with all of the nightwitch and graveyard in the meta! It hard counters both incredibly well!
Sadly, as long as Duchess is around without a rework, Mortar Bait will have a rough time :(
Last season it was definitely tough, but I’m actually find a lot more success with it this season!
@@BennyRoyale Question: I know some decks you (and others I follow) are more fun version for a CC or similar. Which of the decks (given the more or less standard mortar card pool) is the easiest, most forgiving of mistakes version to learn/play? Also, take into account the Duchess everyone is playing and the Giant-ish/Lavaloon 3 spell meta we are facing now.
That’s a tough one. Typically I would say Mortarbait is probably the most forgiving to learn with mortar, because you don’t need all of your damage from chip / cycle (you can get lucky with a good skeleton barrel connection etc) where as other mortar decks are very reliant on either slow mortar damage or miner poison damage combined with the mortar (which both require a near flawless defensive game!). That being said, dagger dutchess has definitely made it a little bit more difficult to play. I would say mortar graveyard is probably one of the stronger mortar decks right now and probably easier to play if you can get the graveyard timing down. But, I would say classic mortar is a great deck to play to get the mortar fundamentals down and once you get over the initial learning curve isn’t terribly hard to play!
