I have an ornament that I sell. One year, I did a photo with an aqua ribbon. Even though I had multiple ribbon choices everyone bought aqua. This year I did white ribbon and everyone is buying the white. People definitely buy with their eyes!!
@Lissbirds no, not yet I just have photo with the actual ribbons so they can see the colors. I want to but I have a lot of colored ribbons and there isn't enough photo spots. Also, glass ornaments are hard to photograph with the reflections. Never the less, they are a huge seller for me sold about 800 this season, including wholesale accounts.
We asked our viewers to give feedback on what to buy with our TH-cam monetization and they requested a cat tree so they could see Bubbers in the background of videos. Best investment ever. 😂💛

Mayyy be 😂😂❤️ Marc as a cup... It brought a smile on my face, through the sorrow, thank you darlingz. you're awesome 👍🏼🤣 and yes, I almost peed my pants.
I killed my 5 years-in-a-row bestseller by changing the SEO 😞 I thought that I can do even better, but I did just stupid... Don't even know if I should try reanimating the listing or create another one
Focus on reviving your currently listing. It still has history. It still has a listing quality score. You've just cut the highway that shoppers were using to find that listing initially. So the goal now is to reconnect that highway by either getting those good keywords back in your listing OR finding equally good keywords to replace the ones you've lost.
It's an ongoing experiment that unfortunately takes a lot of trial and error. I've found that this is the best order to truly track what it working and what isn't so I hope it helps you to diagnose what might be going on with your own listings. 🙂
This might be a silly question, but what do you mean by "the top 10% of your industry"? Do you mean what the top sellers are pricing that product at, or what the highest prices are for that product? I always hear you and Marc say this, but I never know exactly what you mean by it.
The top 10% would be the highest priced items in your industry on Etsy, with obvious exceptions for oddball priced items (we've all seen those random sellers who list a $10,000 coffee cup).
@@StarlaMoore thanks Starla 🧡 I was hoping that was what you meant. I use Printful for fulfillment so I definitely wouldn't be able to price mine the other way.
I've put my root term into the search of eRank (which is Yarn) and of course, it's trending and there's a million listings to go off of however, there is no price point section to be found. I scrolled all the way down to where it wouldn't scroll anymore and never saw it. IDK if it's because there's so many keywords associated with Yarn or what. How can I find that price point?
Try refreshing. Sometimes when you search for terms that have a TON of data, the tool loads improperly. If you continue having this issue, send an email to our awesome eRank girls at support@erank.com and let them know what's going on.
Hi Starla, I am a handmade soapmaker, my niche is those with skin problems. I think I have good keywords and images and I'm getting an avg. of 10-20 visits a day but nothing is selling. I get many favorites but no sales, help please!!
Definitely work through the steps I mention in this video. If you're getting views, it means you're being discovered, which likely means that your keywords aren't the issue. Also, keep in mind that this is Etsy's slow season. People don't have as much money to spend after the holidays so a drop in sales is pretty normal for this time of year, unfortunately.
Hi 👋🏻 I have sensitive skin and other allergies so I went to your soap and looked through a listing. As a potential buyer, here is what stood out as missing or needing work: * There were typos * I need to see a clear and complete ingredient list. I think this it pretty vital for a shop selling to those of us with sensitive skin. * your listing write up reads generic as if it’s the same write up for each soap. Maybe have the info more fine tuned for each stop, especially as it relates to potential allergens like goat milk or fragrances or such. Don’t make the buyer spend time investigating- give them all the information they might need.
As for Winnie the Pooh: The original story entered the public domain in 2022, which means people can use it and sell merch based on the original story, but not Disney's original characters or use their designs for the characters. Also, the Steamboat Willie version of Mickey Mouse is going to enter the public domain in 2024, meaning this too can be used for commercial purposes.
While you are correct, the version of Pooh in Blood and Honey is wearing a red shirt. The moment you put a red shirt on Pooh, you are directly connecting yourself with Disney's version.
??? If our niche is much smaller than your recommendation number, is there a ratio that might work? I doubt there are more than 1000 searches per month in my niche.
I think that will entirely depend on competition. If les than 1,000 people are searching but there are tons of other listings that share your industry, you're going to find it very hard to compete.
@@StarlaMoore it's such a small niche, there are only 16 other sellers, so "maybe" about 1000 listings? It is so small, items that aren't at all what I make, get put into search results, as Etsy thinks if the buyer is looking for mine, they may be in the market for the other item.... It's weird. Even Erank thinks my items compete with the other items.
But I have over a 1000 listings and still not selling well. I have over 600 sales but I know that's not a lot compared to the amount of listings... 😩.. I'm frustrated... I feel I should be atleast be making a full time income by now... its been almost 3yrs (end of 2019)
Quantity of listings does not guarantee success. This is a very common misconception. There are sellers on etsy who make full time incomes with only a few items. Quality of the listing itself is what matters, which is what this video should help you to do. 🙂
I like variations in Christmas lights, if all one colors then I won't buy it. If you have the color that appeals to my eye then I will think about buying it. Colors are beautiful why limit to one color choices?!
Thanks for the video! I made the number one mistake you can make as a new seller as it seems. I had a good selling item and wanted to "optimize" my tags and titel because i saw better tags on erank. Of course my sales plummeted and i can not get a single click even more. Is there any way to move back to my old title and tags?
Not if you can't remember what that listing looked like before changing it. I always recommend using the eRank "Track Changes" tool before making updates to ANY listing, because it'll save your old title and tags (as long as you start tracking the listing a few days before making changes), that way you can switch them back if you end up making changes that hurt your listing. I have a video about it here: th-cam.com/video/Gap_41sGfnU/w-d-xo.html
@@StarlaMoore Thank you for your answer. Unfortunatly i discovered that feature only a week later when i signed up for erank premium. I can not remember which tags i used before. I guess i'll have to wait until the algorithm finds a New place for my listing.
