Prof., Dr., Col. (ret.) Winfried Heinemann tells about the life of Eduard Dietl, a general of the German army in the Second World War, who commanded German troops in northern Finland. Prof. Heinemann is a former member of the Center for Military History and Social Sciences in Potsdam, and he is currently (2023) writing a biography of Eduard Dietl. The online lecture is organized by the Association for Military History in Finland (Suomen sotahistoriallinen seura).
Professori, eversti evp. Winfried Heinemann kertoo kenraali Eduard Dietlin elämästä. Dietl komensi jatkosodan aikana Suomen Lapissa olevia saksalaisia joukkoja aina tapaturmaiseen kuolemaansa asti. Professori Heinemann on toiminut Potsdamin sotahistorian ja yhteiskuntatieteiden laitoksella, ja kirjoittaa parhaillaan (2023) Eduard Dietlin elämäkertaa. Esitelmä pidetään englanniksi ja se on osa Suomen sotahistoriallisen seuran videoluentojen sarjaa.
