- Known as "La Isla Bonita", the pretty island of La Palma is worlds away from the tourist-filled cities and beaches of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and the other more eastern islands in the chain.
I was expecting some beautiful scenery, but was completely blown away by the forests, farms, jungles, volcanos, canyons, black sand beaches, and villages that we encountered on this trip!
If you've never been to La Palma, I can't recommend it enough. In addition to being a gorgeous place, the people were super friendly and the food was excellent and very cheap. The local wine and cheese completely surprised me with its quality. 5-stars for La Palma!

@@brothermichael8442 It's only one little bit of the southwest of the island, there are normal life out of there and most of them have a house now fortunetly
Heaven on earth and the most beautiful place I've been. I hate crowds, tourist spots and endless drunken Brits abroad, fortunately this is one location that has none of that. So much beauty on such a small island :-)

La Palma is amazing. I was there for Coronavirus quarantine. A wonderful place to get stuck :)

Beautiful video! Been there last year in November for some hiking trips. I was overwhelmed too. I could find lots of places I visited in your movie. My highlight was a trip along the Ruta de los Volcanos. Enjoy travelling!

Too late but if someone has same question. That market is La Recova, in Santa Cruz de La Palma. The bananas are from La Palma, so yes, are cheap.
2 euros/ kilo today. But I live in mainland. Maybe cheaper there. Plátanos if they are from Spain, Bananas are from southamerica for US. Don,t mistake!🤓

La Palma is definitely overrated. They call it the 'pretty' island but Madeira is MUCH prettier! Plus the "beaches" are all small and dirty! The sand is like mud and full of rocks and stones, which is bad for walking on. Plus the sea is not as blue here as in Fuerteventura or Lanzarote. La Palma is definitely not as pretty as the other, bigger Canaries. Grey sea and ugly dirty beaches.
Well, you clearly did not do proper research before going to La Palma. The island is (rightfully) called the Isla Bonita because of the diverse micro climates and incredible forests, mountains, and volcanos, not to mention some of the best star gazing in the world. If you want blue water and a sandy beach, yes, go to Lanzarote.
U should go there before saying crap about it. "Ugly and dirty" it's the volcanic sand dude get your facts right
Madeira it’s the same. Without benches . And the sand it’s the same volcano sands you very ignorant my friends madeira it’s beautiful too but la Palma too. Each has differences
