These are very complex, well-written characters. I think there will be lots and lots for you to sink your teeth into regarding characters, motivations, and interactions.
One thing, not really a spoiler. Most of the episodes start with a flashback to provide insight into a character. The bridge fight was the one for Vander, Powder, and Vi.
You should continue its an amazing show!!!

2 minutes in and she's described the plot of the entire show.
Something relevant thing to notice: Vi and Powder saw their parents murdered by explosions.
Now Powder is trying make pretty nasty bombs with her toys.
She is a traumatized kid trying to imitate the "winner" to survive. Is heartbreaking.
This happen often in real life, with children exposed to dire situations, they adopt the oppressor ways very fast.
Same why Vi learned fistfighting..

I am so glad you immediately noted the parentification on vi, a lot of people ever see her trauma and her struggle and focus on powder’s. I am so excited to see the analysis on both characters on chapter 3! Thanks for the reaction
You should definitely do the whole season of this. It's personally my favorite show and I don't even play league. The characters are written with so much depth and complexity and there's a lot to unpack for almost all of them over the course of 9 episodes. The stellar animation also cements the depth by showing so much emotion just from their faces alone. Even though it's set in a fantasy world, a lot of the conflicts and situations are presented in realistic and relatable ways. This show nailed almost every aspect and every episode continues to push the narratives forward and keep you wanting to know what happens next.

The only thing I found wrong with the show is in episode 4 when Viktor screws in a bolt. It screws too far, too quickly for how close the threads are and the number of rotations.
I don't want to spoil anything, but I could see this show becoming a staple in psychology classes in the future. You'll see what I mean if you continue it.

I think one of the reasons everyone loves this show is more than the characters are so well written, characterized, and voiced. It is the artwork style that allows for amazing levels of expression and non-verbal communication to be expressed.
Please continue this series. Episodes 1-3 should have been one episode because they are all exposition that sets up the rest of the show. If you're really going to address the mental health issues in this show, you won't really know what the show is about until you finish episode 3.
History lesson for this place: piltover and zaun were once 1 city called oshra va'zaun (thankyou person in my replies for the spelling) but in order to create a trade route (like suiz canal) over the river pilt the set up a BUNCH of bombs that led to 1 half sinking below (not sure if thats how it works but it sounds cool) and the undercity became toxic, poor and violent. This happened 1000~ years ago (just google runeterra map thats what their planet is called)
The spelling is Oshra Va'Zaun according to the wiki.
Parts of the city sinking into the ground makes sense since it also happens in real life (look up sinkholes for more information).
In episode 8 we get a good look at the map of Piltover in Caitlyn's room, there you can see on the south side of Piltover there are two big cracks in the ground called the frissures.
Also, Piltover's name is a pun if you think about it, because it was build over the Pilt (Pilt/build-over).

It was and still is an important mining area so these bombs made these dug out areas collapse and drop.

Continuing would be great. I think you'll find that Arcane has a very enthusiastic community eager to hear people's interpretations of its cast of very complex characters, especially from a professional perspective.

Yesss ur finally reacting to Arcane! One of the best shows I’ve ever watched. Amazing characters, beautiful animation, and incredible storytelling. IT’S A MASTERPIECE. This series is definitely worth continuing. The writers and animators put in a lot of work to make the characters very real in their emotions and behavior, so you'll probably have a lot to say about it.
One thing I think you missed (that I missed on my first watch) is that Powder barely interacts with anyone other than Vi; where Vi is part of this big "family" with Vander as the father and all the kids as her brothers and sisters. Vi is shown both being sister and parent to Powder, and Powder really only responds to the other kids if they talk to her (or at her). Powder is often in the same scene as the "family", but almost all of her lines are exchanged with Vi, with a very few barbs traded with Milo. Other characters talk about Powder to Vi but mostly don't talk to Powder.
The writing and animation in Arcane are so on point that I don't think it's a mistake that they put Powder in so many scenes with other characters but really not focussing on anyone but Vi in most.
This show is an absolute masterpiece from the story, to the animation, and to the soundtrack, and a lot of really REALLY great lines! I highly recommend you continue this show, the story never slows, and if anything just continues to build. This is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched, hands down.
Just like you, I’m not into animated shows typically as well but Arcane took me by surprise. It’s quite amazing and well worth watching. I really do hope you continue this ❤️

This show is INCREDIBLY good. It set the benchmark for animated shows/movies going forward. There are STRONG mental health undercurrents in the show, but you'll need to watch to understand. It's very very worth the watch, even if you don't post the reactions.
This show is absolutely epic. Please do all 9 episodes. You won’t regret it. The show is amazing.
One thing that most people just gloss over is the fact that Powder, who is like 9 years old at this point, tries to kill or maim a peer with a self-made nail bomb. The setting is amplified in its use of violence for dramatic purposes, but damn. I mean, the grenades have "never worked" at this point, but she's not make-believe playing, either. She wants them to work.
I think Arcane is perfect to react and analyze because of SO many of the topics it shows. Hopefully you'll keep reacting, the amount of characters to analyze and the way trauma is shown is amazing and respectfully shown

Honestly I hope you do continue watching Arcane. It is a very mature show that deals with very mature themes. Either way, seeing your reaction to the 1st episode was very cool. Arcane is the best show I've ever watched, I would 100% recommend to watch whole series, it's for sure worth it. Even tho it's animated series, these characters feels more real than most of the human being characters in other shows.
Fair warning...people just can't help themselves and like to spoil parts of this show. It's an amazing story and people are really passionate about it...but please be careful when reading through the comments. One reactor had stopped posting any further Arcane videos until she's finished filming the rest of the episodes because viewers can't hold it together. Vander (the man) led the rebellion against the more wealthy Piltover. On that day, he put down his gauntlets and adopted 4 children who were orphaned by his actions.
It's curious that so many reactors see Vi & Powder's mother, but ignore their father lying right under her.

It’s one of my favorite shows ever - all the characters are very well-written, plot is splendid and setting is absolutely stellar in both a thematic and literal sense! Plus the art and music in this show are to die for. I love your content and it’d be great to see your reaction to it from a psychological standpoint :)
This is a very well executed series on just about every level. The story, characters and their arcs are gripping, complex and absolutely worthwhile to analyse. It's also full of subtle details one won't necessarily catch on the first watch through. It's so lovingly crafted, I have never seen anything like it. I don't think you need to worry if there's an audience for it, there definitely is. Hope you continue it (and enjoy it) and thank you for your time and efforts!

Yes, more Arcane, please. And you'll see by the end of episode 3 why this was so requested, then more so by episode 6, then even more so by 9. The show was divided into three acts for good reason. There's so much that a therapist of your caliber could say on this show that it would be crazy not to cover the season. Pardon my use of "crazy" as that's actually my self-identity, as obvious from my avatar.
If I could watch this 20k times or more to convince you to watch this whole show, I would... Hope you continue this!

Wow times 5. This video was enlightening for me. Especially because I've grown up middle class but my parents grew up lower class; the way you pointed out how influential our environments are on our behavior, and how humans in lower classes are much more susceptible to environments of people in survival, explains so much of my parents' psychology. Love love love this video. Please continue this series 🙏 and thank you SOOOO much for doing this and everything else you do.
Follow up. I'm sitting in my parents office room at home and straight across from where I'm sitting are all the trophies my siblings and I won throughout our childhoods. Previous to this video, i despised this trophy display because it reminded me of my traumatic childhood and how my siblings and i were our parents puppets for their desires. Now I see them (also) as material wealth earned through work, which attends to the survival mindset I touched on above because when in survival mode, more stuff means better survival. And when trying to survive, stuff must be fought for, in this case, worked for and earned. Now in my head I'm applying this mentality to better understand hoarders, etc. Again, thank you so so much for enlightening me with this content 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🧠🤯🎆💡🕯️ 🌩️
There is a lot of room to grow with this show. The first two episodes are more of world building and base development of the characters. The series (and the characters, it's a character driven show) start to really take off at the end of the first act. I would say it would be worth to stick around at least till then. It probably will be the most viewed analysis of the series, as well, maybe closely followed by two other episodes.
This should be a wild ride. I'm really looking forward to your analysis of the characters in the final episode.
This animated show has more life in it than most live action shows these days...by far.
