I was adopted at birth and my mom always told me that my birth mom loved me so much that she did the most unselfish thing a parent could do. Now I know that I was one of three children adopted at birth because I guess she didn’t learn her lesson the first time but anyway, I really appreciate my mom raising me to think the best and not grow up with a negative attitude surrounding my adoption.
Your mom sounds like a wise and kind soul. What a beautiful message to give you about your birth mom. Even if birth mom “didn’t learn her lesson,” it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t hard for her to give you up. I imagine it still was.

its crazy bc as someone who works in childcare, she is always ALONE. normal kids would be all over everything she’s doing begging to help or participate. no way in hell i could wrap a single gift without 4 kids walking up to me begging to help. shes ALWAYS alone even when her kids are there

I feel the same for James. He's the only child that helps around the house. I'm still fuming he literally had his wisdom teeth removed the day prior, and Alicia made him come out and help her carry everything inside. All the while everyone else was home including Josh, Dayshawn, and Alex. Poor James. He never got his trout or steak he asked for either.

D thanked them for every present and was excited about his clothes and items. When he opened the shoes, he was like “another pair?!” He was super surprised and it seemed like he was like wow that’s a lot. I think that was fast forwarded through. His bio mom is responsible for him being grateful and saying thank you. He’s a good kid…not from any of her doing!!
One thing I learned in my foster parent classes is that you don’t talk negatively about your children’s family, because everyone sees themselves as a reflection of their family and vise versa in some aspect. It’s always good/OK to validate your children’s feelings - if THEY want to say they feel bio mom is “mean” or has a mean heart etc., then there are affirming ways to validate that. “Thanks for letting me know that’s how you feel, I absolutely understand why you’re saying that, I see what you mean. Just know, you are made from love and came from love and are still so, so loved.” Something like that. Her dumbass “you is kind you is smart” affirmation shit is not where it’s at.

As soon as I saw the title of the video that’s exactly what I came to say. If I was a social worker she’s the last person I’d think would have a good home for an adopted, foster, kinship or bio child.
I always remind my adopted son that no matter how frustrated he is, or I am with his bio mom we are always thankful for her. We talk about how she made the hardest and most selfless decision to let him find his forever home. The choices she made while we were working the foster case drove me up the wall, but I would never let my son see the negative opinions I had of her. She brought him into their world, and for that we should be thankful. I never speak negatively of her, and when he does I try to redirect to a positive attribute.

I commented on the birthday video that this was "sinful shopping". Amazed that some called me jealous of her being rich. Alicia is rich from selling her kids on the internet , without their consent. Making underage children work from their home (that should be a place of sanctuary). Who would be jealous of that? Alicia is a Sinful Shopper in every sense of the word.

Id love to see a video comparing the kids birthdays! I’ve watched all those individuals in the past, but I think it would be interesting to have like one of each kid compiled into one video to compare how he treated each one differently!

I remember at the start of her channel, Bree had a birthday and Ali is solicited most of the gits from viewers via an Amazon wish list! She got a realistic amount of gifts, the strange part was most weren't from Alicia they were from strangers!
Also, the very first video she did on the twins birthday she got slaughtered! That's one part of the reason I believe she over does it for the twins now.
I think also the contrast between a 2020 birthday vs a 2022 or 2023 birthday would be very interesting!
Watching this makes me appreciate my parents even more, for having "nights to stay up" for each of us 7 kids - each of us got to stay up late and have uninterrupted time with them for board games, ice cream, whatever.
Oh, and letting each of us pick a night performance at the Minnesota State Fair to attend alone with just them🤗🌌
It didn't occur to me until I was older that nights to stay up with 7 kids left them without a night off😬
That was a really smart way for your parents to give you all one on one time. I've never heard of larger families doing this. Your parents are amazing and obviously knew the logistics of having seven kids. 😊❤

I think she bought him a dog to make him feel anchored to their house. If he leaves he won’t be able to take the dog. Everything she does it out of selfish greed never for the wellbeing of the children. Real parents make hard choices in the best interest of their kids even when it means saying no. Alicia doesn’t parent - she houses kids and teaches them horrible habits that include being dependent on her. Gross

Yeah I thought a dog was a strange gift for a foster child since it’s not a permanent situation (or not supposed to be). Also a dog should be a whole family effort and gift. NOT for a child alone. Especially a puppy. Thats a lot of work and responsibility. That is a living creature- basically a wild animal- in your house. I hope it’s an easy going dog.
I had the exact same thought. She didn’t want N to take her PS5. She ended up taking it. She knew if he has a girlfriend he can see whenever he wants and now this dog. He won’t be going anywhere. If he doesn’t get out and goes to college I really worry about him.
He doesnt even seem to care about that dog. J takes the dog for a walk and cuddles it just like he does with all the animals. I dont think Ive ever really seen D do much with the dog. Which is common with kids and pets. They get bored and dont want to keep up with the care after awhile. That's why you dont get kids a pet.
Christmas was a discusting materialistic nightmare too. Most the kids didn't even say thank you except for James. And those mini fridges???? How ridiculous!!!
This makes me so proud of my 4 kids, we've been so broke that I couldn't afford shoes for myself n I'd have to wait for them to be home to go shopping so I could wear their runners, and now that some of them are in their mid 20s they said they NEVER felt poor ❤, they were always appreciated even a 5 dollar gift from the dollar store. My husband works his but off to keep food on the table and I had to retire to be home for our extra needs child, seeing lush waste so much and we struggle to keep food in our home is so sooo sad 😢
Much people have struggles and test, when time is hard you get broken or more connected with family. Struggle and kids don’t notice because they remember love and time not money, they grow up in mentally healthy persons so bravo parents 🤗

There is a family vlogger on here called "life with beans" and they have nine kids with one on the way making ten. Anyhow, each birthday the kid gets one thing to wear, one thing to eat(example- special birthday meal usually homemade plus a small cake), one thing to read and one they they want and one thing they need. That's it. And each time these kids are so thankful and excited for their gifts and the other children are excited for the birthday child. Then they usually go to a park or museum and that's the day. Same with Christmas. These kids are some of the most gracious, happy loving kids. They don't have all this tech and tvs. They read tons of books, have tons of intellectual toys that stimulate their mind and also fun toys like play kitchen etc. They have gotten big gifts for Christmas which is for example little scooters, tennis rackets etc. These kids play with their items time after time on video and are always taken to parks, libraries museums. The parents feed them such wholesome meals and snacks. It's so different from Dougherty dozen
It is so sad when patents use their kids for money but it is even more sad when adoptive parents use their kids grief and rocky past and expose it for “fame”

I took my girls shopping for each other when they were littles. They were always so excited to pick a gift for each other. At Christmas I took them to buy gifts for aunts, uncles and cousins. We have a very large extended family so a trip to the dollar store for this shopping was all I could afford but I was able to tell them they could pick anything they wanted in the store. It makes good kids when they are involved like that.
It’s strange how she’s said she wants to be good terms with the bio families of the kids she’s adopted, she lets them see the kids, yet she’s constantly throwing them under the bus by talking about what they’ve done in the past, flexing how much money she has, giving the twins’ bio parents her old disgusting tree, basically alienating D and N against their mom. She is so gross, those homes may have been unsafe and unstable, but she’s not helping the kids AT ALL. She’s not even caring for her bio kids who also have issues but she only cares about the money they make her. HEINOUS
I think it’s pretty disgusting how often she’s publicly degraded the twins parents. Ex. The paper chain countdown for their father’s release date and blaming any health conditions the twins have on the bio parents. Also this is just a conspiracy at this point but I think her favourites are tied around who contributes to her content and gets the most views.
Also letting their bio families pick through her “empty” pantry for food,exposing their financial struggles while she’s doing a $1000+ grocery shop.

We have an old couple as neighbors that always bring us vegetables from the garden every year. They even brought over Halloween goody bags for my kids because they weren’t going to be home for us to trick or treat at their house.

When I was about 14 I was really into Bam Margera, I had also mentioned to my Mum that I didn't want much for easter because chocolate had been making me feel sick. I woke up to an Element hoody instead of eggs that easter. It was my very first ever name-brand piece of clothing. I remember thinking Mum must have spent a whole paycheck on just me. Looking back now it probably cost around $50 but it meant so much and Mum knew what to get, not because it was on trend but because she listened to me when I spoke to her.
I’m from Rochester and my mom always grilled in to our head be great full for what you receive no matter if it’s small or big be grateful it’s said that this family doesn’t know the meaning of being happy for what they get not everyone is as rich and wealthy to afford stuff like that
Back when I was in 3rd grade my bio mom was actually around that year… she threw me her 1st and only birthday party… we invited a few kids from school. I was made fun of because she served kool aid instead of soda. That was 36 years ago. I still feel the feelings I felt that day. For myself and for her she didn’t do much for my brother and i but she did her best that day but was made fun of by 9-10 year olds because she couldn’t afford soda for a bunch of children. But know that was the one and only time she tried to put one of her kids first for a change is sad…. Her saying that crap about her adopted kids or foster kid’s parents is disgusting and so hurtful forever. It will not only make the parents feel bad but that child will carry that as well.

My daughter just turned 38, and when I add up all the stuff I probably ever got her for her birthdays they don’t add up to $35,000. I never had that kind of money. But I do have the best girls in the world who love me because I’m me.
My mom used to schedule my dentist appointments the day after Halloween- it still is my nightmare LOL
hahaha what a great memory, we had spaghetti for halloween night ! its was brilliant as it takes forever to eat spaghetti so it slowed us down to go out later, as in a proper time , unlike NOW? kids are out at 5;30pm way to early IMO. Cheers !

I’ve been paying attention, and I agree, James has been MIA lately, from various things, the last video I saw him in was the video of him helping bring in the groceries from Costco.

I have 5 children, and I could NEVER treat them differently or favor one more than the other. A good parent loves their children equally & treats them equally. Makes me sick that she behaves like this towards her kids & hurts my heart, and she’s doing these kids no favors by spoiling them like this, because it doesn’t teach them the value of working hard for things you want, and to be proud when you save & buy those things 😞 She’s a pos & horrible person and should never have been allowed to adopt or take in any children, because there’s no way they aren’t aware of her exploiting these kids, and that makes them just as bad. I was adopted at birth and wanted for nothing as a child, but my parents work so hard, and showed me how to work hard & make it on my own, and that’s the best thing you can do for your children so they’re ready when it’s time to fly the nest.
She has moved J and P in the basement room N had. Both are older than D , so how does D rate his own room, the room that used to be Js' alone.?

Right. My kids get the same amount of money on gift for Christmas and birthdays. My older child wants more expensive things so he gets a little less gifts but it is the same amount of money.
Its sad that he couldn't see his sister for his birthday. My Halloween was spent at home because it was super cold and snowy!!!
This vlog reminded me of my own family way too much.
My parents have a favourite child: my brother. I am the first born (girl) and my brother has always gotten everything he wanted and more. He never had to work or do chores or anything to get what he wanted. My parents taught me to give all of my things to other people and to be ready to be disappointed because you can’t get everything in life.
My parents separated me and my brother and our relationship was ruined by my parents when I turned 14. They kept us apart so much that now at 25 I don’t know what he likes, who he really is. We don’t talk.. nothing.
I hope D and N won’t end up like me and my brother. This whole giving gifts, talking badly about the mom, separation of the siblings that is so disgusting. I never realised that they separated us this badly and treated us completely differently (I was neglected and abused) before I went to therapy now as an adult.
My mental health problems were a huge shame to my parents and they didn’t want me to “ruin” my brother. I heard that N had some troubles too so this just gets way to familiar ….
Also the fact how Alicia now is praising D and favouring him so much is just like my dad. even now he says how much he loves my brother and he has him as his wallpaper (my brother has my dad and him as wallpaper).
This really breaks my heart to hear and see Alicia act like this…
D seems to be a lovely child and I really hope he won’t be ruined by her and especially his relationship to his sister and mother (if he wants to be in contact with her)
She removed J from his bedroom to let D have it alone though D is younger than J and P, and neither of them have their own room with space for a gaming chair and friends over for sleepovers.

These kids have zero idea what normal is anymore because she has given this screwed up reality where you get thousands of dollars in presents for nothing. They have no idea what it means to be grateful because they aren’t taught that. We would get like one bigger present for Christmas and maybe two or three little things, and there would be a big family gift like a new computer. These kids would be so much better off they just spent the day with them, showed them love, and kept it simple.
I was wondering why James as the second oldest didn’t get his own room but D does? It doesn’t seem right. They are so fortunate to have James he’s such a great young man I just with they could see that.

I agree with you Josh. That comment she made in reference to past birthdays really reflects her true character. This woman has claimed she is a Christian yet I see no Christ like values reflected in her or in what she teaches her children and those in her custody. I also agree about spoiled, entitled rich kids, but I also have to say that I know many wealthy folks who would NEVER indulge their children to this degree. These kids will have no understanding of the value of a dollar or to appreciate things. There is something very wrong here - I feel like she is searching for meaning or something because there is an emptiness with her that I can’t quite put my finger on. But it’s strong and even pervades through her social media channel. Honestly, she needs prayer. I’m going to try to pray for her as the spirit leads, but I thinks she is sad. Also sad that’s she is such a poor steward of the wealth dropped into her lap…

I noticed she hasn’t shown J at all lately and I truly hope he’s ok. She already had let social media run their lives, but it should never ever be allowed to be more important than any child, but an adopted child who was taken from trauma and then gets retraumatized by the family who promised to protect his wellbeing. Man, she better not get worse than she’s already been. He’s the caring person he is despite being raised by her and having to take a caretaker role because she chooses not to parent her kids anymore.
I was thinking the same. J is such a sweet genuine kid and I feel so bad for him. I'm hoping it's his choice to back off of social media.

I hate what she does to these bio families. I don't know what they did to lose their kids but if they atone for their mistakes and clean their act up, then that's good. But imagine doing that and then you see this witch buying tens of thousands of dollars of stuff for the kid and you can only afford a $20 gift. It would make you feel inadequate, maybe the child won't want to leave because they'll lose that fancy lifestyle, and maybe you'll feel like the child is better off without you and will stop trying to get them back. It's awful. She should not he doing this. And then to comment about missed birthdays? We dont know why he missed birthdays if it was for a legit scummy reason or they just couldn't afford it.
It's awful. She should be raising these bio parents up if they are trying to be better. She should not be trying to outshine them and foster the child having a relationship and wanting to go home to his bio family if they are safe.

I’m an advocate for individuals with disabilities for work and each day can be a new level of sadness and frustration. It is rewarding work but can also be so emotionally draining, so I appreciate you and your humor immensely.
Josh you made me cry talking about your pup. I feel that way about my Bella. I’ve had several dogs pass and I loved them all. Bella got sick and had diabetes and after the fact we think cancer. But I fought so hard to keep her healthy and happy. She had so many issues and I would fight so hard against them. Ugh heartbreaking. After her I said do not do that to yourself again. Ever. It hurts too much. But here I am with 2 labs and they are life. Dang you got me with that.

It’s my daughters 14th Birthday today and she got a pair of Dunks, some socks, body spray and exercise band! She was thrilled and grateful….the excess these kids deal with is insanity and I can’t wait till she comes crashing down from this spending Bs

That sounds great! I always give my teenage kids useful gifts because lets face it it’s hideously expensive, and i don’t have the means to just pour out luxury items.
My daughter recently turned 14 and all she wanted was a diamond painting (the one she wanted was $4.99), a diamond painting organizer, a pair of shoes and a pencil case for some of her art stuff.
She was so happy and appreciative of everything.
I notice that Alisha definitely does this to flex on bio families.. the twins, A, and D.. hence who her favs are .. and I agree, pitbulls are great dogs. I have a senior, it is definitely how you train and raise them. I don’t see Alisha taking the time to do that though ..
Alishia won't even teach her kids to put on their own toothpaste so probably not. 😬
I think if that dog is getting trained at all, she's going to pay someone to do it and J will end up picking up the slack while D is off playing football!
If she invested the money really well and created trusts instead of spending and spending, she could set her children up with generational wealth. It's sad to watch these sorts of things because it's a lot of brokenness manifesting itself and the children will pay the price in the future
