Yup you can make a tree bigger but only with jungle trees that you found in jungles biomes or with winter trees that you can found in snowy biomes. To create the tree you just have to collect 4 saplings and put them on the ground on 2 by 2 like a square

Also works with 4 saplings of dark oak.
And also, there's a way to grow a normal oak tree but bigger with more branches. Place 1 sapling, and place a block next to it diagonally. Place a slab on that diagonal block, and remove the block under it. Now bonemeal and it show grow big. Around 80% of the time it works, if not maybe try to place the sapling few blocks in a different place, or the slab in other diagonal direction.
