    The Song from Death Shock is called 'A Night on Bald Mountain'. I don't know wrote it but it was used in the Disney movie Fantasia. Am guessing its public domain (like a lot of classical music), Hence why it gets used in a lot of Films.

    • @AWCMCultMovies

      It's also on the best-selling "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack.

    • @flickflack
      @flickflack 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, you could say it's in the public domain. Mussorgsky wrote it back in the 1860s.

    • @davidhelvering
      @davidhelvering 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@flickflack While Mussorgsky’s original score is in the public domain, the recordings of the score are most likely not. Of course, it would depend on the copyright law in the country where the music was released.

    The music is Mussorgsky's "Night On Bald Mountain."

  • @monkeymanbob
    @monkeymanbob 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    The piece of music from Death Shock is Night on Bald Mountain by the Russian Modest Mussorgsky and has been used in Fantasia, Natural Born Killers and Jabberwocky.
    Dark Night of the Scarecrow is a favourite, the eyes, the fear in the eyes through the mask and when they find out he didn't do it and they try to prop the pitchfork against the body to make it look like self defense still resonates 30 yrs later. It went straight to VHS in the UK and had a cult following for a while. Rarely mentioned these days.

Dark Night of the Scarecrow is drastically underrated and one of my favorites of all time, and considering what you couldn't put on TV at the time makes it even better. Evil Dead and Halloween 2 are always good but I try desperately to forget anything regarding Halloween: Resurrection, another of the franchise's low points. Can't wait until 1982 gets going.

    i love to share stories about horror movies and what scared me as a kid, what i got to watch cuz my parents, well really only my mom, only gave a shit if i saw a tittayy floppin around on tv as a child, but violence and horror? Have at em!... and i started writing one here, but it got wayyyy too long, so im cuttin out the big comment and usin' er for the inspiration/basis for a video for when i finally launch my own gd TH-cam channel...
    SO the SHORT version?:
    I mustve TOTALLY friggin blocked out DARK KNIGHT OF THE SCARECROW, cuz i KNOW i saw it as a kid, barely remember much, but i DO dang remember how TERRIFIED of it i was..... maybe cuz i was like only 5 or 6 years old when i saw it...maybe something just GOT to me, since i saw so much horror as a weee lad....or maybe it's just that damn scary...
    SO...
    if someone can correct me if im wrong, and tell me "it aint that scary as an adult," then let me know...if not, if it kinda still holds up, then back me up when i say:
    "TV movie or not, 5 years old or not... DARK KNIGHT OF THE SCARECROW can quite easily scare the ballbag off ya"

    I am going to say this about Halloween II it is a good sequel minus the massive part of Laurie Strode/Myers being in a hospital bed throughout most of the movie when they did the same thing again with Laurie in Halloween Kills. But I like the timeline where Laurie is Michel's Sister because we got the Jamie Loyd movies minus 5 and 6 but a great 4th Halloween movie and we also got Halloween H20 and the horrible sequel that was Halloween Resurrection. But I love the Evil Dead movie also I dont think there is any bad movie/season from the show of the series because I have seen every movie and I have enjoyed them all I have seen all of the episodes of season 1 but I could not watch season 2 because I didn't have cable tv at the time. I will agree that Evil Dead is the best movie of 1981 second best is Halloween II

    I'll be honest, nothing in evil Dead Friday the 13th nightmare in elm Street Halloween or Texas chainsaw massacre is as creepy as seeing four graves Doug for children with premeditative intent to kill them and you don't see the graves until they're burying one of the kids and they're stuck in the Attic they had a drink each other's blood and they were eating poison cookies dude we would watch this at sleepovers and freak the f*** out
    So I nominate the flowers in the Attic movie that was released in theaters as a potential sleeper horror movie. I mean come on man they had children's graves okay. You don't see children killed like that and premeditatively planned out for all of them. Check it out and you'll see what I mean

    Is there gonna be another 81 episode Josh? Cause I'm pretty sure you still haven't covered Don't Go into the Woods.... Alone, which definitely came out in 1981.

      Another one from the Video Nasties! And one of the worst. Which is really saying something, because there is a LOT of crap on that list.
