Metal Sonic legitimately seems like the best villain ever. I don’t think I’ve seen that level of dedication in defeating the hero, and he’s gotten terrifyingly close several times.
Yeah he is way more worthy of killing Sonic than that stupid Mephiles the douche. Metal would actually kill Sonic in a fight! Not result in some cheap cowardly tactic that involves killing from a far distance! Seriously fuck Mephiles! Even Infinite had more effort put into him. Also Metal has a personal and understandable grudge against Sonic. Mephiles had practically zero interaction with Sonic to the fact Sonic's story in 06 should've been a completely and separate game altogether.

Honestly Metal Sonic is more fitting of being the "protagonist's evil counterpart" than Shadow ever really was. Shadow is basically just a rival at this point, kind of like Knuckles is, but more edgy.

I love how they did the character justice in Sonic Heroes: being far more terrifying than Dr. Eggman, attained a new form, concocted a powerful strategy, copied everyone’s data, as well as his Metal Madness/Overlord causing him to progressively grow unhinged as the battle raged on against all four teams. Also his “All living things kneel before you master” one liner is legendary.

I hate how he's like a pokemon legendary. Goes from being the main threat or a huge plot point (Groudon in Ruby and Saphire). To being put to the side as a random boss battle (Groudon in Ultra Sun). Really wish they used him as a main villain again. Would be super cool if he was a main threat in the newer games.

Sonic generations was the most entertaining and most funnest games I ever played. The other ones are okay but the concept of having classic sonic and modern sonic was a genius idea and the mods are so good.

Shadow was just as cocky as Sonic in SA2. Shadow said that he was better than everyone, Sonic said the same. But now, Shadow says " U nOOb I wILL pUNCH yOU " and Sonic says " I WILL wIN bECAUSE Of My FRIenDS ! " And this friendly rivalry between the two trash-talking fastest things alive has completely disappeared... The last time I saw it was in Sonic Generations, but maybe that's just an illusion because Shadow got two lines and Sonic didn't talk to him

Sonic generations was the most entertaining and most funnest games I ever played. The other ones are okay but the concept of having classic sonic and modern sonic was a genius idea and the mods are so good.
