  • In this video we're taking a look at the newest boat in the Aire lineup. The Arie Cub is a dedicated play boat designed for rafters who are looking for a super fun and light weight R2 boat. This raft is packed with features pioneered on earlier Aire raft designs and some new design features that make it a top contender in the play boating world for rafts. How does this raft really hold up on the water? We threw everything we could think of at it from sharp volcanic rock to big granite slides to hikes into remote rivers to see how this fun little raft would perform. Learn more about how the Aire cub raft did for our team paddlers.

Is there an advantage to paddling backwards like that (stern forward)?

I have a Sabertooth that I bought a couple years ago. I think that I might have chosen the Cub if it was available back then. Looks super fun and playful.

Excellent in-depth review. I’m in the market for a new (or gently used) boat and I appreciate all the insight you gave.
