I am utterly ashamed of the way our veterans are treated, particularly when they’re injured. I’m not dissing Help for Heroes, but if we send our own to war on behalf of the nation, do we not owe them the smallest of debts by giving them all the help and rehabilitation they might need if they are injured while on duty? The fact that they’re kicked out and expected to rely on a charity for those needs really shows how wholly despicable those who govern us are.
@@DanSmithBK I completely agree. It's a disgrace the way our brave ex-service men and women are treated.Just another example of the total contempt with which the government treat anyone who is not useful or beneficial to their dogma.
These silences always, always make me want to burst out crying, the effect is so profound. Thanks for the show Mr Charlie "hey i hear bagpipes Im'ma run toward them " Veitch :)
Awesome vid Mr V. Clarity of your camera is excellent (watching 6,000 miles away) .. Nimrod (from "Enigma Variations") very fitting. RIP to the many fallen and injured.
Thank you Charlie! I'm too unwell to have attended Manchester remembrance Sunday this year and although I watched the national remembrance coverage from London on the TV I didn't feel as connected to the occasion as I do when I attend the Manchester service. By some absolute sheer coincidence i started watching this particular recording at a time, unbeknoen to me, which would sync the first Cannon to sound at exactly 11pm this evening (Tues 16th Nov) sounding at exactly the same time as my clocks hourly chime. Let me tell you it was eerie!! I immediately stood up and observed the 2 minute silence, again; and i felt a deeper connection than I did on Sunday. I suppose you had to be there but every hair on my body (which isn't many being a fellow balder) stood on end. Top job.. carry on and keep up the excellent work.
MCC had no intentions on putting the cross of St Peter back. Glad they gave in too pressure once the Dean of Manchester got involved 😁 shame on you MCC.
you do make my world a less lonely and more sane place lol . I too have a brain that rambles off on tangents and never seems to be quiet x even Max has left home now all grown up with his own house and baby x only ten mins away from me ,but yeah the house is quiet now , just me the dog and the squirrel x and i moved ,not in the woods any more ,but in a nice village x any how glad your back xxx
Whenever I see those older blokes without uniforms I can't help but think they were in the "special service" Sir Christopher Lee served in, learning first hand what the sound of a man that's been stabbed through the back actually sounds like and such. What was it called again? "Churchill's Secret Army"? I still prefer the name "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare". SO apt!
Do a special on the building in the background at start of 🥁 Cha . That looks very interesting , who built it would be nICE to kNOw 🙏 kind sir ha’e a gid yin man ✅
Strange protest No one had any kill the bill banners. and the police were very helpful.. I often see auditors filming the police it was all quiet on Sunday no tear gas and rubber Bullets
Those seagulls were so disrespectful. 😠 If our BRITISH poppy offends them so much they should fly off elsewhere! I'm absolutely discustard on behalf of are brayve trupez! 😠🇬🇧
11 or 11,11 your showing your ignorance there Charles, but other than the slight slip up you do a very good and sometimes informative blog of what it is really like in Manchester and surrounding districts.
Watch the channel on here called double down news and watch the video from last week about remembrance day from an ex soldier, its worth hearing what he says about the pageantry of it all and politicians etc
Just imagine if these police officers actually tackled crime ... when you report your cars being broken into and they turn up two days later that sort of thing....
I find it sad that what was probably at some point a genuine form of remembrance be turned in to a form of religion and conditioning. It's feel good patriotism now for many.
WHY ARE THE POLICE INFRONT OF ALL THE VETERANS!!!!!???? I find that so disrespectful! Everybody just looks the other way!? Don't even bother going these Parades anymore.
The best thing about Charlies ban is all this content coming at once
A feast after a Veitch famine
THE VEITCH IS BACK! IVE MISSED OUR LITTLE WALKABOUTS CHARLIE GLAD YOUR BACK!
Don't give the government any credit for veterans when there's thousands on the streets homeless

Brilliant coverage. The sound of the LAST POST always brings a lump to my throat.
Powerful scenes everyone being silent. Great respect makes us proud to be part of this great nation
We cannot begin to thank those enough that gave their lives without question or hesitation.
Lest we forget,

Haha gotcha!
Hey CV. Glad to hear you. Wondered where you had got to.
Think about the true innocent victims of war. The children and animals who were bombed, abused and hurt. No choice over their destination downward.
Come over to Dublin
