I had a resell booth many years ago…these look like small church pews. They can be refurbished as head boards depending on the width. Love your tutorials…
Very pretty pieces. One thing I didn’t hear is whether or not the wax you use is oil based or water based. I know it can make a difference, especially in places where there’s poor ventilation.
My grandparents had these benches with their dining room table! I fell in love with the set at 5 yrs of age! I would love to find the set for my own home dr or!
Yvonne you never disappoint💕💕I have an antique carved church pew in the natural oak patina finish that I will never paint, but I do love how these turned out.
I think they all looked awesome n old. I’m really partial to white but I’m a liking that green bench. Looks like it’s been around for a while ( actually they both do) that long piece that goes on a porch looked so good it even has the crackle to it. I really like adding the aging wax cuz it needs dirt to show its age. Super Duper makeovers! ♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
Oh my! Had to wait for the chips to stop flying, but WOW! Both turned out GORGEOUS!!!!! I laughed hearing you say “somehow they got texture from spraying…” ummmm not everyone has magic rattle can skills like you Yvonne 😂😂😂 fabulous flips per usual!!!!
Those benches were a workout for you. They turned out really nice. I want to start painting things. I've bought small things at the Thrift stores to start out. Love the corbels and the fancy piece.
Yvonne you are not afraid of hard work. Your project's always show that. Job well done my friend. I would like to see you redo a older wooden bed. Turn it into a white or cream colored french country bed.Do you use any of the IOD air clay molds? I would like to see you make some appliques to put on it. Just a thought, I live in the Kansas city Mo. area. It is all the rage for several years now. Thank you for sharing your talents with us all.
These benches are beautiful. Gosh a Moses I’m worn out. I’m amazed at the amount of work you do. I love the chippy look and think you do it beautifully. Our sister in law distressed one of my sister’s small white dining set. Lol, my sister was not a happy camper. “We grew up poor with ugly chipped up paint. We never had beautiful bright shiny furniture “! Her taste was glass n chrome/ brass look. I hated that stuff but I love old furniture and China, silver etc. I don’t really go the primitive type of decor but small components of it. I do like the mass majority of your work and love watching the processes you do. I’ve learned so much, a bit late in life, but I’m having fun watching you do the hard work.😂😂.😊❤
There is no comparison to your prep work and other people's. I can't stand when they paint over tags or paint things that have not been wiped down. Unfortunately, it is really common. Love all your ideas! I, too, am a lover of the old boxes and crates. I flip houses and have stacks of the old wood windows of all shapes and sizes!! I have no clue what i will ever do with them but just couldn't let them go to the landfill!!😂
I love the chippy look! The white bench is my favorite tonight. Everything turned out really nice. TFS Yvonne. I have yet to try the milk paint, I have it but been kinda scared to try it. Everytime I watch you use it I say "tomorrow I'm going to" tomorrow hasn't come yet🤣😂
Love it all you are awesome and I love watching you do your work. Where can I order that milk paint and what were the three green you put together for the bench? Thank you so so much.
You used to use Kilz white paint on everything, and you said it was reasonably priced and locally available. But now everything is this milk paint, and I wonder if it is a durable enough paint for a furniture piece like a bench that is going to get a lot of wear and tear possibly. . Different than just a decor piece that sits on a shelf.
Do you think the paint on the white corbels is textured ceiling paint? I know you use to be able to buy it with sand in it which gave a finer texture or you could buy it with cement in it which gave it a roughter texture. Just wondering, looked like the textured paintmwith sand in it to me. Years ago I had used both.
A whole new definition of "let the chips fall where they may".
So funny ❤
Wow, you never disappoint. Absolutely loved all of those. Love the little ladder. Thanks for sharing.

Hello! I like so much !
Em Portugal não consigo comprar essa tinta "Sweet Pickins" 🤔😮💨

I love thé chippiness of milk paint but I would be so disappointed if after applying 4 coats of paint so much just fell off 😱
Was there any gum wads under the benches?😊
💖!

It reminded me of a sprayer that wasn’t working properly..
