It’s a long story, to shorten it the Amazons were victims of abuse by Hercules and his men, Hippolyta asked Aphrodite to free them from their chains which she did under the condition the Amazons would not seek revenge. Some of them did killing some of the men before Hercules escaped. As punishment for breaking their promises The Gods made the Amazon’s guard the doorway to the under world. Half of the Amazons felt justified in seeking revenge and decided to break away from the tribe, Antiope was their leader as she was the biggest voice in their justification. As such they roamed the lands seeking revenge against the men that harmed them, all which lead them to have a greater hatred of men in present times.
She was only curious to know how the world of men was plus she wanted to be granted freedom and lead her own tribe. She explored and worshipped the Egyptian gods to seek Solitude for her people not to include to know a new culture that will help her people to adapt with the environment.
And then she met Jason and became his wifey!!! Gosh I ship those two so hard. I'm straight but if they'd let me won't hesitate one bit to slide into that relationship.😁😁
