I went there until it closed in 2008 & finished my senior year in the new school in 2009. I miss this place so much, i met my husband in the lunchroom :) so this video brought back so many memories, i did so many dance routines in that gym, That principal office is where Mrs. Gray set & my principal Mr. Howard use to be. I greatly appreciate this video though, & ur friend is right it did close in 2008 i cried when it happened & i hated that new school. But i have so many good memories from this place

My grandmother, grandfather, aunt, mom, as well as me and 2 sisters graduated from EHS. I graduated in 82. My Grandmother later returned as the Guidance Counselor and my Aunt as the Librarian, as well as stepping in to teach a few other classes. I enjoyed your video. :)

We had Channel 1 when I was in school. Used to watch it first thing in homeroom.

Went to school there 65-69 before the new section was built . Modern technology was electric typewriters and not enough for everyone in the class , no tvs in the classroom , just an intercom reception .
Graduated from there in 1988, it was a great school and so sad to see it now. Would love to go back and walk through it again.

What a great old school. So much left behind. Saw what I think are orbs but can'tn't be absolutely sure. Wish they'd take these kind of places n use them for shelters for homeless etc... Cool explore Jon! Stay safe and God bless.
The band room is said to be haunted there and even my husband who went there heard things so it's a common thing around here... Shame they waste the space of the building and the current owners will not do anything with it, so it's just an eyesore in the middle of town. All the books and things should of went to the other local schools but nope....

Graduated from here in 2007, this place was amazing and it’s heartwarming seeing this. Creepy vibes, indeed, girls bathroom on the second floor always left me feeling creeped out, lol. Felt like I was back there. Glad to have seen this video.
My father and mother were Class of 55. My father passed away last year, and I visited the school soon after. Heck of a place, lots of memories for them.

They won't. It's now privately owned by ppl that are just gonna let it sit and rot and all the county's hs consolidated into one HS now.

7:15 Channel 1 from Whittle Communications!!!!!!!! Whittle paid for every school to have those televisions, the caveat is that the school had to show the Channel 1 programming. I remember it in middle school and it kind of went by the wayside after a couple years. The programs lasted about 10 or 15 minutes.
I remember those. I think Anderson Cooper was affiliated with them before he landed at CNN.

I was wondering why did the school close down?! The school district or the town if still in operation could get a some funds for the old computers, books, tables etc. What an amazing school and it’s it still pretty amazing condition! Thanks Jon! @@honeybubsakajenna Yea they did now a lot of kids have to get up at 5am just to get on the bus by 5:30 because a lot of us live on the mountains and the new HS is really far

The cool thing about watching this type of video blog is that people like Exploration Unknown is . Preserving a part of history that will be forgotten , demolished and vandalized .The properties are being recorded for everyone to see before its eventually leveled , and turned into something else . Its great to see what use to be , and the millions of dollars it took to build it .

I live right behind that school and sometimes you can smell spaghetti cooking like the kind the school makes
NEAT QUONSET HUT! When I was 4-7 we lived in half of a quonset hut!! Mom, dad, my twin sister and two brothers!! Mom and dad had to sleep on the hide a bed couch because there were only two bedrooms!! Very close quarters!!!

Awesome video man. I love exploring Abandoned Schools. Something Extra creepy about them. Schools are creepy when it's empty. I have been in a empty school at night back in high school when me and my friends stayed in the library playing Dungens and Dragons with our principle every friday night. And it was creepy being alone. Especially walking to the bathroom by yourself.

7:20 It was called Channel One. These were installed in Middle Schools and High Schools in 1989-90. I was in middle school at the time when these were installed. They would turn on when the program came on and would shut off when it ended. All the classrooms had one of these 19 inch Magnavox TV's and the Library had the main control unit for the TV's with a Magnavox 4 headed VCR 19:48 in it with a small 13 inch Magnavox TV on top of most of them.
I really like watching people go through a banded places it’s sad to see this school go to waste I hope they fix it up Some day so they can use it for something but I think that was great that you went to your dads old school it was your cousins that’s awesome and amazing great job

There is so much potential, for the high school building. One place had converted their high school into a high school bread & breakfast. Or was it a high school inn? Changed the classrooms into hotel rooms. Kept everything as a school. It was neat. I hope they do the same there. Such a waste if they don't. Thank you for the tour.

My Mom went there from 1936 to 1940.
Yes, my mother attended from 1936 to 1940, also. She eventually moved to Illinois. I have seen that school often as a child when we visited Evarts every year. My mother attended reunions there for many years, even into her 70s.
If it’s a windy day the elevator will have relief vents to prevent the elevator shaft from pressurizing as the car travels up and down. If the pressure changes from wind it causes the car panels to flex and make sounds. It’s possible.
The show was called channel one. It still plays today and you can go online to watch it.
Even though I didn't like school all that much, I miss it some...missing being young....so cool seeing this...it sure takes me back..graduated in 1986 and some days it seems like yesterday...boy does time fly way to fast...and where is that talking and music coming from???
Third bookshelf from the door 3rd shelf down there appears to be a face on the front cover of the thickest black book middle of the shelf. It doesn't look like it's part of the cover either. You mentioning hearing talking or a radio at 17.50. Much earlier on when you are not far into your exploration at the 5.50 mark I thought I heard music on more than one occasion. I thought you had heard it and dismissed it as being from outside, maybe a property near by.
That was well weird hearing those footsteps overhead. Was that the source of the music? Either that or the fact that you both felt a chill and your camera picked up images that weren't there and blurred a few times signified you were not alone in the none corporeal way.
Thought about doing a night visit?

IT'S PRETTY COOL TO GO BACK TO YOUR DAD, COUSINS SCHOOL.... it's ashame that there are lots of stuff left behind.... all the books in the library could be donate to a local library... auction off some stuff.... and I chuckle at kevin remarks when you were in the office where you were discipline and ask how many time was he spank and he said NO COMMIT.... but over all pretty neat to see it again.... 35:10 it does sound like someone is walking and I heard a thump.....
