There is a replacement, but it isn’t the Church replacing Israel, it’s believing Gentiles replacing unbelieving Jews as branches in the tree of Israel (Romans 11). What is every Jew born part of that no Gentile is? Israel. But being a Jew requires the faith of Abraham and obedience to follow Messiah. The tree of Israel will be filled out with branches full of faith, even if not a natural part of that tree. Abraham was a Gentile who had faith. In Christ who is “the seed” that receives the promises, non-Jews can are united by faith to the root of Jesse and tree of Israel becoming Abraham’s children (Galatians 3:14-29).
