@@decimation9780 I mean we do have the world records for a sniper shot made by a french Canadian in Syria. Whats how the Canadian public learned our special forces were in Syria. Wildly enough it dint cause a scandal even tough the prime-minister had promise not to deploy troops to Syria. We have deployed troops in Vietnam and other conflicts although never officially joining the war. We were in Ukraine until the last minute NATO cowardly left, training Ukrainians to kick ass. That sniper I mentioned also went there but got frustrated by the command structure and came back after a month or two. The Canadian command structure allowed him to call in artillery left and right and have those rounds land in minutes.
      P.S.
He did see front line combat there. But he was often attached to a ukranian element who would not listen to him often compromising their positions early. One of the story he told was that he was with other Ukrainians in a trench when it started to get WW1 and a Russian tank with thermals rolled up and two ukranians decided it was a good time too take a cigarette break. The two ukranians instantly toke a shell. The media have been hidding the ukranian casualties but estimates put them at maby half that of russia. A lot of them are from dumb ass situations like that. A lot of NATO combat vet also left because of that. I don't know if shit has improved for NATO vets but many left because they were sent to the front due to their experience, with ak's and other old equipment and Ukraine would send their new NATO toys to ukranian elements.

I am Sorry is a polite Canadian phrase. We automatically use these polite phrases like please and thank you , as we were taught in our childhood. It doesn’t really mean we are sorry. I suggest foreigners study our game of hockey before they assume we are a meek people. When I was young goalies didn’t wear masks and stopped frozen pucks traveling at 60 mph with their faces. They are a true representation of Canadians character.

My late mother's side of the family was Canadian. She told me that etiquette was key, but that if her people were made truly angry, all hell would rain down.
Believe me, I've never thought Canadians were meek. Instead, picture a simmering cauldron of fury beneath a seemingly collected and dignified exterior. That described my late mother. And I have a similar temperament, and learned to express anger from her.
Sadly, I am now physically disabled, and can no longer train in the martial arts unless I can find a Dojo that has classes and one-on-one teaching for the disabled.
Any nation that can conquer that often glacial climate and live in harmony with such beautiful wildlands is a rare and special power.

Though I in WW2 we were given some American arms mainly tanks most of our arms were produced by our selfs granted they are just British weapons but non the less they were produced by us for our troops. Hell we even produced spitfires for British pilots to use in the Battle of Britain cause the RAF needed new planes to defend the skies same thing with pilots. Canada is one of the more powerful countries in the world. It could become a pretty significant military power too if it really needed to. It has the 8th largest economy in the world, almost 40 million people, huge territory stretching from Atlantic to Pacific ocean, one of the largest oil and gas and food exporters in the world. Rich advanced first world country and politically stable and only borders one country that it's friendly with, although it also is hugely overshadowed because of that neighbor. Pre-Colonial Period (Before 1500)
Indigenous Peoples: Canada's history begins with the arrival of Indigenous peoples, who have inhabited the land for thousands of years. They developed diverse cultures, languages, and societies across the regions, including the Inuit in the Arctic, First Nations in the forests and plains, and Métis in the prairies.
    Exploration and Early Contact (1500-1600)
European Exploration: The first Europeans to explore Canada were Norse explorers around 1000 AD, followed by John Cabot in 1497 and Jacques Cartier in the early 16th century.
French Colonization: In 1604, French settlers established the first permanent European settlement in Canada at Port Royal (present-day Nova Scotia).
    Colonial Era (1600-1763)
New France: French fur traders and missionaries expanded into the St. Lawrence River valley, founding Quebec City in 1608 and Montreal in 1642. The colony of New France grew, focusing on fur trade with Indigenous peoples.
British Conquest: After a series of wars (including the Seven Years' War), Britain gained control of New France in 1763 under the Treaty of Paris.
    British North America (1763-1867)
Royal Proclamation of 1763: This document recognized Indigenous land rights and established British control over Quebec and the Great Lakes region.
War of 1812: A conflict between British North America and the United States affirmed British control over Canada.
Confederation (1867): The British North America Act of 1867 united the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia into the Dominion of Canada, laying the foundation for a federal system.
    Expansion and Development (1867-1914)
Westward Expansion: Canada expanded westward through treaties with Indigenous peoples and the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Immigration: Waves of immigrants from Europe and Asia settled in Canada, contributing to economic growth and cultural diversity.
World Wars: Canada played significant roles in both World War I and World War II, solidifying its identity as a nation on the global stage.
    Modern Era (1945-Present)
Post-War Growth: Canada experienced economic prosperity and social change after World War II, including the establishment of social programs and a focus on multiculturalism.
Quebec Sovereignty Movement: In the late 20th century, Quebec sought greater autonomy, holding referendums on sovereignty in 1980 and 1995, both narrowly rejected.
21st Century: Canada continues to evolve as a multicultural and bilingual nation, with a strong economy, universal healthcare, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
    Indigenous Reconciliation
Truth and Reconciliation Commission: Established in 2008 to address the legacy of residential schools and promote healing and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
    Conclusion
Canada's history is characterized by diversity, resilience, and ongoing efforts towards reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. From early Indigenous civilizations to European exploration, colonialism, and the development of a modern nation-state, Canada's story reflects its rich cultural heritage and its journey towards inclusivity and social justice.
