I really like how it is emphasized that the master assistant provides a starting point and provides insight into what your mix is lacking/overdoing. Since the assistant was released I used it as such and my mixing improved drastically because of this approach. Great tool!

Yes, teaching is the best way to fully learn something. You need to stay ahead of your students. I also look at presets as learning tools. Don't just use presets or AI, try to understand why they were chosen. Good Job.

Not in the Academic World and in real life...John W is not correct.....it seems he meant something else.....you teach because you already understood it and you are an expert....now you use that in a creative way so that not only the student learns but also you inspire his drive and intellect.....a good Professor or teacher will be resourceful to always improve the teaching and make it more challenging...a fact. This is not AI Mastering yet...this is still within the automation realm.....etc..

that dynamic eq to relax the limiter is the thing I wouldn`t come up on my own. How would I find those freqs without the assistant? If I hear freqs I don`t need, I use either static or dynamic Eq but if all freqs are fine... that limiter thing introduced me to a completely new approach

I LOVE the mastering assistant. Just sets up so nicely and I can work from there

Master Assistant is a great way just to see how your mix is for the mastering, if the assistant suggest many eq and extreme dynamic settings then you can be pretty sure the mix needs some serious attention

Hi, I remember when you came to Point Blank Music School, 2018 to speak on mastering. Stayed back to talk to you. This series is excellent.

THANK YOU!!! I really like the sincerety of these videos. For instance, we have talked about not taking AI or ML for granted and always make our own judgement, we have talked about cases that AI or ML could fail / may not be enough etc etc. They did not aim to blindly sell their feature.
    Very good stuff!!!

When will you update Ozone Advanced with the Pro features?? sigh

  • @djse

Does the iZotope AI database is always updated with new tracks with each little update or is it something that's locked and is only updated when a new version is release ?
(hinden question in that would be : Could Ozone 9.1 AI assistant gave me a different result than Ozone 9.5 ? or same with RX)

Re: Source Separation: why don't mastering engineers just work with stems? Of course you can bus them down and work on a 2mix as if you had only one file, but why limit yourself to just the 2mix instead of giving you more control if necessary?

Hi I've watched some of your videos, thx for sharing.
I have a level issue. After final my music,
The over all volume is lower from other CD's. My levels are good on my Cubase.
What can I do to gain that . Thx
