My old ginger guy cat died a few months ago and I've been too sad to think about another one; I have 2 female cats still. But other day something clicked and I began looking on shelter/rescue websites. Soooo many cats, many owner-surrender per the stories attached (eg have to downsize, new landlord doesn't allow pets, broke from med bills, kid JUST developed cat allergy. A bunch of senior cats were surrendered so owner could move across country...how do you do that?.). It's making me very sad, I can only take one, somebody needs to take these cats, especially the adult cats. An adult cat like Logan can be very grateful and loving..

If it was my case (and a real one because maybe they blame the maid but it isn't true) one the maid as someone i contract to do a job would have to endure him or maybe put him in a room while she is working, or she can choose to resign but a pet is part of the family

James Cameron, If it makes you happy, my husband loves animals adored our cats. Our beloved kitty, Luna was about 19 years 6/2021 we had to put her down. The other day he came home with a tear streaked face "I saw Luna's liter and... " He stopped traffic to remove a turtle from the road. Heartstopping but hard to get mad when it's coming from a place of love. Our Shih Tzu was his shadow and the comment - a grown man fussing over a small dog looks ridiculous didn't even register...guys like you are changing (or have changed) the conversation.
He had PTSD*. He needed someone to love him & make him feel safe. I hate to think of what his life was like living on a porch in Florida... there's some deadly, scary things down here. Especially at night. *Yes, animals can have PTSD.
Chances are it was a place that had money and they wanted to start with a pet that's easier to take care of. But since a cat isn't necessarily pedigree material, it was not seen as a worthy accessory compared to having a maid clean your home.
The fact that a family would choose a maid over a cat/pet says so much about those people. I definitely wouldn't want to know them. Ugh. I'm glad Logan found an actual loving home. :o)

We took in a long hair grey cat 6yrs ago and he is SO food motivated. He seeks it out everywhere. We free feed and has treats and wet food throughout the day. Hes well fed but it doesn't matter. He wants more. Logi is so cute. Thank you for giving him a home!

I had a big long-haired male like Logan who wouldn’t exercise. He would lay on his back swatting at toys, expending the least calories possible. I worried about him, but eventually gave up trying to get him to exercise. He ended living to age 18 1/2!

I've heard some lame excuses but the maid? 🙄 I guess they were at least too ashamed to say "We just don't want the cat anymore." One of my professors kept 2 cats shut up on his patio. Made me wonder why they bothered to have cats at all.

Your cat looks like a Main Coon. He seems to behave like one too. His like of water, his fluffiness, his weight, the fact that he seems talkative and his love of food as well, are all charasteristics of that breed. Yup. This version of Maine Coon is called "Silver Fox". I have a female, and they are the most wonderful cat children that you can have. They are extremely food motivated!!! They also need extra love and attention. They are like little children - more so than other cats. Maine Coons are the uber-intellligent cats of the feline world!
Loved her husband begging too for comedic effect. That's totally me. We have a 20lb fat cat too and we've done everything the doc recommended, Shadow is just a lazy cuddler. He doesn't want to explore anything new. He doesn't like guests and hides. They would never know we have a cat. He was abandoned. We heard his cries from underneath our home. My son worked on rescuing that kitten for a few days. It took the help of another kitten we had actually adopted 1 week earlier to help coax him out. RIP Barney. He went under the house and played with Shadow and convinced him it was ok and he finally came out from under the house to living under our dishwasher and kitchen sink for a week before he finally trusted my wife, then my son, and then lastly he accepted me. We are the only 3 humans he will trust, and my son recently moved out 1 year ago, Shadow is very angry at him for moving out. He tries to ignore my son and tells him to piss off. He hides from him now. I guess whatever trauma he experienced, he latched onto us for comfort and sanity and you're either in or out with Shadow. It feels good to be in a fat 20lbs cats love circle. I cuddled with him last night till I fell asleep because he picked me last night.

He's a cat daddy expert/cat whisperer. He knows the most about cats and he has helped many families who had troubles like cat not being okay with another cat.

Trust me, animals can live a long life than expected cause my moms childhood dog (I don’t know what breed he was since he died before I was born) lived up to his late 20s and he was pretty healthy except he had a few missing teeth and some arthritis in his hips (which I assume it’s because of his age)
I’m happy they gave Logan up otherwise he would have been living on that miserable, hot porch the rest of his life. He would have never found the wonderful family who adopted him. Now he has the happy life he deserves!

I had a big long-haired male like Logan who wouldn’t exercise. He would lay on his back swatting at toys, expending the least calories possible. I worried about him, but eventually gave up trying to get him to exercise. He ended living to age 18 1/2!

I've heard some lame excuses but the maid? 🙄 I guess they were at least too ashamed to say "We just don't want the cat anymore." One of my professors kept 2 cats shut up on his patio. Made me wonder why they bothered to have cats at all.

Your cat looks like a Main Coon. He seems to behave like one too. His like of water, his fluffiness, his weight, the fact that he seems talkative and his love of food as well, are all charasteristics of that breed. Walter-Finn, my orange Main Coon has the same charasteristics. I wish I could post pictures here, for you to see!
Yup. This version of Maine Coon is called "Silver Fox". I have a female, and they are the most wonderful cat children that you can have. They are extremely food motivated!!! They also need extra love and attention. They are like little children - more so than other cats. Maine Coons are the uber-intellligent cats of the feline world!

Loved her husband begging too for comedic effect. That's totally me. We have a 20lb fat cat too and we've done everything the doc recommended, Shadow is just a lazy cuddler. He doesn't want to explore anything new. He doesn't like guests and hides. They would never know we have a cat. He was abandoned. We heard his cries from underneath our home. My son worked on rescuing that kitten for a few days. It took the help of another kitten we had actually adopted 1 week earlier to help coax him out. RIP Barney. He went under the house and played with Shadow and convinced him it was ok and he finally came out from under the house to living under our dishwasher and kitchen sink for a week before he finally trusted my wife, then my son, and then lastly he accepted me. We are the only 3 humans he will trust, and my son recently moved out 1 year ago, Shadow is very angry at him for moving out. He tries to ignore my son and tells him to piss off. He hides from him now. I guess whatever trauma he experienced, he latched onto us for comfort and sanity and you're either in or out with Shadow. It feels good to be in a fat 20lbs cats love circle. I cuddled with him last night till I fell asleep because he picked me last night.
He is beautiful and has a lot of soul. Thank you for saving him and loving him. He deserved better and he got the best! ❤️🙏🍀😻

@@davidospina3601 Awesome, I have 8 feline rescue kiddos for the best purr companions ever, and a prince of a husband ") WE spent early Spring building them a run space in our backyard that is rather spacious. It was such a joy to watch them hit the ground in a safe space that first day... like little lions on the plains, they all tuckered themselves out... crashed in bed with us that night, like kids after a day at the fair. (No we are not collectors, it just happened that way!) We are the Brady family of Hemingway's now, lol.

2) Try getting him different toys so that he can figure out what he likes to play with.
3) Please refer to Jackson Galaxy's videos. He's a cat daddy expert/cat whisperer. He knows the most about cats and he has helped many families who had troubles like cat not being okay with another cat.

I don't spray water but I do hiss/shush sharply like a momma cat, and my cat is trained this way. It works with neighbour cats too. 😊

Fun fact: The Longest A Cat Ever Lived Up to Was 38 Years old! How Did it Even live That long?
Trust me, animals can live a long life than expected cause my moms childhood dog (I don’t know what breed he was since he died before I was born) lived up to his late 20s and he was pretty healthy except he had a few missing teeth and some arthritis in his hips (which I assume it’s because of his age)

I’m happy they gave Logan up otherwise he would have been living on that miserable, hot porch the rest of his life. He would have never found the wonderful family who adopted him. Now he has the happy life he deserves!
