@@lazarpeuraca9618 If the dirt is very loose with only little grip, then pulling in the clutch is a valid maneuver. If you keep on the throttle (or in the best case, slowly reduce your throttle input) you use up some of the available grip of the tire for that and keep the tire from gripping too hard and ending in a highsider.

The engine breaking on the Africa twin can be pretty extreme depending on the settings, you can literally ride down a mountain without using your breaks. My guess is that he rolled on the power and the back end slid out so he rolled off the throttle and with heavy engine breaking it was the equivalent of him using the rear break and doing a skid. This has almost happened to me before. If ever you ride on dirt you want the engine breaking turning down.
I saw this bike for the first time in the heart of Brooklyn,NY. It was parked with a light layer of dust and scratches lightly rested on the panels from weaving through traffic. Magnificent, sadly it surely doesn’t off-road like this. 😢

Ive hung my bike(s) a couple times like that in the grass with radials. One time it full turn locked left and right and it straitened back up. The other time the ass came straight around in slow motion and low sided to a soft slide. I would rather go down off road than on any day.
