@@AbyssalSword That's cause this show will never change the characters. They don't lose limbs, they don't get killed. Side Characters and other important characters are there for that, but never the main characters.
I mean seriously, every single other important character. Shanks. White Beard, Aiokiji, the Blind Admiral, Captain Kid, the Samuria chick in the newest episodes. Everyone ELSE gets crippled, but what about the main crew? Luffy gets a chest scar, and Zoro gets an eye scar off screen.... And that's it. They never change beyond that. The only change is what they are wearing.

Sabaody Archipelago arc exists to teach the Straw Hats one simple lesson: They are not ready for the New World.
I just love this arc man. It's like One Piece's soul as a series bottled in a nice tight arc.

Underrated comment
The power difference wake up call is wild here. The pacifista they defeated took Zoro, Sanji, and Nami’s Enies Lobby finishers plus Chopper’s non-Monster strongest attack and it was still going.

this was on a whole other level than he suffered at the hands of Mihawk, his entire body was ravaged with pain, it was only by Zoro's spirit that he survived, still this was more than simple wounds.

Sabaondy arc is one of the best arcs in one piece in my opinion. It's short but with so many great events happening.
Introducing rayleigh, the great conversation and the hype about gold Roger's voyage and one piece, the great moment of lufy screaming on usopp,introducing celestial dragons, zoro vs celestial dragon, luffy's epic punch, introducing supernovas, introducing kizaro, all the fights, the despair and reality of how strong their enemies are.
Top one piece drama, action and pure epicness

The Straw Hats clearly don't understand what a robot is, since they think their opponent is "desperate" once he starts firing everywhere. Too bad, since a berserk Pacifista would have been a problem for their enemies as well.
