This is what happens when hype becomes more important than the look and quality of the actual shoe. Same with the Bloodlines, great shoe. Quality is better than some of the hyped releases. Get what you like versus what everyone SAYS you should like.
Like you said the bloodlines where really great, but they sat for a few days, but anything that is a collab, or some shit shoe with weird materials and 50 letter long name sells out instantly.

I hope ppl think the Jordan 1s are played out, it’ll make them easier to cop. They’re my favorite Jordan’s to wear. The color blocking, versatility, and how classic they are... they’ve really grown on me more and more over the years. I feel at some point, my collection will be 90% 1s while the rest is for a specific purpose.

One of the best releases. Leather quality is amazing. Love the Top 3s but the quality on those make it hard to wear them often. UNC to CHI quality is amazing.

But I heard that these and the 3’s with the CHI on the back were supposed to release in Chicago during the ASW but because there were so many people waiting,retailers sent back all that shipment to NIKE so that’s why they’ll drop like this. No extra laces and the black pair it comes with is shitty quality. Nike did something nice with the leather and got fancy with the hang tag, but cheaped out on the laces. As a woman, kinda bummed they couldn’t throw in an extra pair of laces for our release.

The obsidian 1's that came out in August are now going for $350+ on StockX , these will slowly climb too ,eventually i believe. All Jordan 1's start climbing after a minute

I like this colorway & typically wear Jordan 1s, once or twice a week. Mostly Royals & Breds. My most worn all week? 700s. V1s, 2s & yes a V3. Today, I'm maxin in an old UB 🙂✌
I think this will be a future classic and probably sought after. It's a UNC and Chicago colorway (as you've said), encompassing MJ's journey as the GOAT. I like this better than the fearless. More power bruh!

I ended up buying these on GOAT for my birthday and I was surprised that they weren’t at least 270. 210 before shipping and taxes especially for a Woman’s Release of a Retro 1 seemed uncommon to me lmfao. They’re low now for sure and it gives people a chance to still virtually get them for retail, but give it a year or two and people will be searching for these like crazy and the price is gonna hike up. Debating on getting another pair to keep on ice so I can make a profit eventually

Ya too nice, Foamer. But I like the positivity! Personally find the Caroline Blue a wrong shade, compared to how UNC has been represented with a lighter powder blue in the past.
Im just speaking from an artist/designer perspective. I think if they would have used the unc blue, itd be way too desaturated against the red and black
@@Coatl360 The same could be said if they had used powder blue, they'd need to do some adjustments to the rest of the colour blocking on the sneakers. It's jarring when the colourway doesn't match the 'story' and personally, I couldn't "force" myself to like them lol. I'm sure it's still a great pair to put on, nonetheless.
@@Coatl360 The colorway used on this shoe is dark powder blue, which is brighter, almost neon looking. Which is why they used it on a black shoe. The correct UNC blue is university blue, which was used on the men's Jordan 1 Fearless UNC to Chicago, which used white as the main color, with red, as well.

If you like the remastered AJ1s from 2015 onwards with or without the tumbled look, like me, theres no shortage of dope releases on the horizon but also they havent at all been replaced by those 85 High OG cut items, that would be a disaster 😏

With fashion moving towards the more loose fitting/ baggy era Jordan 1s will eventually take a back seat to up in coming sneakers like the 3,4,5 and 6. Jordan and nike is over saturating the market the same way they did with the Foamposite it’s only a matter of time until people start getting bored and tired of the same thing.

I don’t know if you can get your hands on a pair but I think the Jordan 1 Wings is a very slept on Jordan.IMO it’s one of the top 1’s with some of the best leather.The whole sneaker is leather including the tongue and even the insole.
All I want is og Chicago to return, but it does feel like a new pair of ones release every week

I like mine. I’m surprised they’re slept on. The leather quality is great. Story behind the color way is self explanatory like you said. I’d take these any day. Wouldn’t be surprised if the prices go up after a couple months.

The problem why people think they are getting played out is because of the way people rock these: terribly. 9 out of 10 people rely on the shoe to complete their outfit. Don’t get me started on the skinny jean and the random odd colour t-shirt look. People need to think before picking their shoe for the day. A pair of trainers is an accessory to your outfit not the staple piece. Don’t be afraid to wear some flared trousers or straight fitting dickies with Jordan 1’s. They key takeaway from my comment is most people that rock 1’s have no CLUE about fashion, therefore killing the shoe. Nike need to make these things crazy limited again. I’m fed up with seeing everyone wearing a pair. Make it tough to get hold of, make it special again.
Foamie, this type of mismatch made me pull out the legacy 312 Colorway combining the bred 1 and black cement 3 for mall shopping today. There is something about taking two colorways or sneakers and combining them when the black and red toe is involved that sets it off. God bless have a good weekend

Big J1 & J3 fan and if anything is getting played out it’s the 3, last Sunday was at my local Shoe Palace (never fails me) and the new all red 3 was sitting even in my size and was the reason I was there in the first place and passed on them.. Too much red and materials were trash, walked out of three with a couple pairs of J1 Lows😎👍 Right now it’s all about the SB Dunks for me‼️

Extra laces ? 🤔 they don’t come with extra laces. Mine is a retail pair from an authorized store and most reviews I’ve seen of these have no extra laces.
Yup got mine from footlocker and didnt get extra laces but I'm going to get some of those leather laces to switch them up 😁
These are just beautiful and believe resell will up there in a year or so..I dont think I'll ever get tired of any jordan 1 that has leather like these and a dope colorway..bloodline colorway and leather on it were also dope to me so I had to grab those too but these definitely top those.

Why does it seem that Nike uses different lasts for Jordan 1's? The toe shape is never consistent. I hate the 90° drop off. For some reason, the cheaper mids have better toe shapes with softer slope.
I don't think the Jordan 1s are being overdone. I just bought my first pair, and I'm in love with the shoe. It just works. It's good quality, comfortable and a shoe that you can cop in all kinds of different colorways and releases. In a word, their timeless, pure and simple.
The 1’s will be most people’s grails, but I feel like they’re over doing it. Every single month they release a new colorway with OG features. And now with the “new beginnings ‘85” they wanna release them true to 1985 form and with reverse colorways or colorways that never dropped. That is why the 11’s always do great because they drop once a year during the holidays and during the summer they’ll drop an 11 low but the biggest $$ maker for the 11 is in December.
I think I like these better than the patent leather UNC to CHI 🤔
