It’s just a habit that develops with working with handles. My friend cuts like barbecue meats with like a cleaver and he does things with the handle as well…
Wow the Dominos of today looks like it sucks. They are carrying way too many items now. Worked for Dominos back in the early to mid 90's. Back then we had pizza, wings, breadsticks, cheese bread and that was it. Rush on a Friday night had 200 plus pie hours with super long multiple conveyor belts. Fastest time for a cheese pizza 9 seconds and pepperoni 12 seconds when we timed it. That was dough pulled out of tray, stretched out, sauce, cheese, and on conveyor belt. We would dimple the outside of douhg ball very fast and then double slap to spin in the air and layout on the screen. Worked for Mike Orcutt Cowabunga inc one of biggest franchisees in Dominos in all facets then went out and did my own thing. Personally do not like cutting all the way through a pizza. The drivers often jumble the pizza box and the pieces go everywhere. We would leave a fraction at the end for the dough where it was 99 percent of the way cut through but was still together. That way it held the pieces in place until delivered. Was very easy for them to pull apart. Not the corp way of doing it but it cut down on delivery complaints. The Dominos pizza in the 90's was awesome. It's not the same stuff today. They put fillers and spice in the meats so it gets costs down but still puts flavor on the taste buds for the consumer.
