My eyes lit up when I first saw that N64...then my jaw dropped seeing the cartridges!!! Oh man I would push my PS3 and PS4 to the side to play that amazing console again.
Really awesome room. The place I live at right with my friend now has about 4000 games 3000 movies. and 2000 video game guides, manuals, and books, including lots of Japanese game manuals. He had to cut down on how much he buys since the more you buy the less space remains. We still have room but, We don't know for how long. Great Idea with covering the consoles with boxes and storing controllers in bags. I store all the main controllers in a bin, wires tied with bag ties in another bin and games accessories in a third. The rooms are divided into 2 rooms. A library / computer room and a recreation / console room. I created my catalog of games and movies using Google spreadsheets with location flags so I can locate any game and status of the game. If it is borrowed, damaged, missing, or in use. And I use a temporary bin where I throw all the games in for frequent use to take with me in the recreation room. Unfortunately I don't have a switcher like you do. My friend does not want to use that method. Instead we connect and reconnect consoles and store the ones we do not play in their original boxes. So awesome room you have. I really enjoyed it. And the band room gives that extra touch. The only thing I highly suggest is get a small fire extinguisher. Especially I you have all your consoles hooked up together, and everything is compacted in one room. It's worth the investment.
Hi Jesus, Awesome tour. I'm not sure if you remember me but I was around 3 years ago and I'm making my YT comeback. I remember when your channel first launched and it seems to have grown even better. Well done, I love it :)
Eventually all art, books and music will decay with time, but that still means I enjoy collecting it. I love holding the real thing in my hands... and keeping it safe and undamaged is part of the process.
Your set up is really methodical in that everything has a place and a reason for its place. This allows you to the most out of your room without a junky cluttered look. This is exactly what Im trying to do with my room If you have any suggestions, tips on furniture, desks storage cases, displays etc I would be more than interested in hearing more about that. Also would love a breakdown to how you ran all the cables for all your gaming systems.
Great to see your collection back then, very entertaining. Jason I haven’t mentioned this before but you really helped me through the pandemic. Thank you!
You are one of my favorite youtubers because youre so positive. You just love talking about gamers and sharing it with other gamers. Well done MetalJesus, cheers.
I was so happy to see Star wars posters on the side of your wall. I'm gonna get Star Wars 1-3 posters framed on the side of my wall on my bed. The reason is because I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan and I just love Anakin Skywalker before he turned to the Dark Side. We all have that "inner child" in us and I have to say you def have the "inner child" lol. Great collection.
It’s sort of comforting to know there’s a niche that isn’t covered by every pro you tuber game room I’ve ever seen - a game room with appealing aesthetics, furniture, and interior design.
Love how organised and tidy his game room is. Some rooms you see look a right state. Plus a lot of the other gamers look like they haven't washed for a good few weeks. If I had enough games to warrant a room it would look like this
has a job? you can buy a lot of these old games in bulk for really not that much, its just the rare few that end up costing a lot (japanese zelda, sealed f-zero etc..), im more interested in how he has time to play even 10% of them
The only problem with collecting games and money is that when you have a full time job you have too much money too spend on games.. The challenge is having restraint...
***** heres my mentality, I have PS3, 360, wii, i want to trade that wii towards a wii U, i have one shelf of games 65 total all 3 systems hooked up to a nice flat screen. then you have the nes snes and wii all on the wii-U, it doesn't stand out to girls like your this ubber nerd with NOOOOO life and like 40 blu rays, then i have my PS4 in my apartment in the city with 8 games. I'm a jock who likes to live life, go to the hockey arena, play real sports, games are for down time, not a one and only reason for living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i feel better about myself everytime i watch one of these, i laugh
Cant wait to have a collection that nice one day. My collection is pretty small right now with only around 230 games but i love playing retro games. Infact i just got a darth vader edition atari 2600 today and it is fantastic!
After playing my first live gig on stage back in the late 90s, I cracked open my KISS red wine bottle I was saving and celebrated. It was a great moment (and tasty wine too)
Top loader = Missing back plug port Flaw: Bad Video and Audio quality :( Original = Attractive, Has port, better Video and Audio quality :D Flaw: 72 Pin connector problems (which is something that the Top Loader doesn't get so I will give credit for that!)
respect to your collection man. im a college student and miss the n64 era so im starting to do that slowly and collect what i need. roommate calls me crazy but he too loves playing the n64. keep up with the good work im subbing.
GREAT job on your gameroom and video tour. Found some of your hidden Xbox original gems in my local used store today! We have the best hobby in the world! All the best to you and your collecting.
i think its a great collection, i keep most of my games since i like going back to them from time to time and remember a joyful experience i had with that game when i was younger, enjoyed the room tour!
thanks for the cut out clear plastic tub idea! i'm going to try to find clear plastic tubs that are completely square so as to have a more clear cut design, like your positive attitude!
Fantastic collection, superb reviews, great taste for music and movies. Love your hidden gems postings. Keep up the good work and keep retro gaming alive.
All your systems look in great shape. You do an excellent job of keeping everything neat. Thanks for the covering the systems tip u showed off. Great idea dawg.
Hello i love your youtube channel. I was very inspired by your game room and i am trying to collect everything you have, so far i have over 1,890 games and 13 consoles so thank you for your time to share this.
I'm so happy you love the mass effect series, in my opinion its the best game series ever made. I'm so dazzled this game isnt much more famous, and it just barely gets recognized by any youtubers.
That was so freaking awesome. Just the video I needed after a hard day of work! Thank you so much for doing this. This is quality chillout entertainment.
The Hyperkin Retron3 is a nice option for people who want to play NES, SNES & Genesis games...plus imports, but the emulation is not 100%. There can be some funky colors or the sound might be off a bit. That said, it's a nice cheap option if you don't have the room for the real thing. Also, congrats on the wedding! :)
Great video. I'm not a collector myself. I have loads of old systems lying around from over the last 20+ years, though I am reluctant to start collecting as I know it is a slippery slope and I'll end up obsessed haha. Over the last few years I have tried to minimise what I own....giving all my CDs and DVDs to my brother etc. Yet, I still love the idea of starting a gaming collection. Maybe I should start with just one system and see how it goes :)
Absolutely love it Metal Jesus! I always wanted my own games room. I have just started collecting. No time like the present to start redecorating one of the spare rooms! :)
This is your first video I've seen. Kind of cool that you come across as just a cool guy who loves video games in this age of people being angry, rude, lewd, etc. Rock on!
"favorite system would have to be playstation 2" (as the camera pans over a copy of shadow hearts). sold, im subbing! great collection MJR, some thing to really be proud of
Impressive collection man. Just wanted to say your videos are cool and you're pretty funny and easily my favourite game reviewer on youtube. Thanks dude. Mike from England
I think even more impressive than the collection itself is your ability to organize! I think you could hire yourself out to people that need to unclutter collections and homes.
Such a cool collection and you seem like a lovely guy. Enjoying your videos having just started collecting myself (have started with a PS2 and a Gamecube)!!
Great game room man! Love the simplicity of the red fabric covers! I would love to see a video of how you have all this connected in detail. I wanna start adding older rf connection systems but I can't find a convenient way to link everything conveniently to my tv. I use a newer led tv but through settings I get no lag with my av systems
I haven't completed most of the games... Honestly, who could when you work full time, have a wife and have other hobbies like playing music on the weekends? However, I want to collect games because for me it's like Art... and the prices are only going up and somebody, maybe... I'll get around to playing that rare or interesting game I didn't have time to play today.
Listened to this week's All Gen Gamers and can not wait for the new tour!! Make it a long one or a 2 parter if need be.. Be nice to see how the whole thing came together in detail.
This video's awesome. It's positive, it gave me great tips for my room, and the collections impressive and laid out well. Also props for highlighting Pool of Radiance and calling the colecovision (my first console) 'mighty' :D Well done!
Great collection. Really enjoyed watching it. Shivers games were one of my favorites and it's cool knowing that you had a part in that game. I don't see a 3DO system in your collection though. You probably have it, but if you don't, I think it's worth it for games like Samurai Shodown, NFS, Road Rash, Star Wars RA, Return Fire, Demolition Man, and Jurassic Park. My favorite 2600 game? Of course Asteroids.
I prefer modern gaming but I play retro gaming a lot, almost as much as I do modern but I love watching gaming setups like these, Great Video by the way!
Impressive set up. I'm pushing 1,000 games, and this surpasses me by a long shot. :) One thing in particular I like, is I like how you make your consoles and controllers dust free by covering them. Great idea. I'm also a traveling musician in a progressive metal band, so we have that in common as well. My TH-cam channel has videos of most my past bands over the years, whether I was lead vocalist and/or drummer. :)
No problem. I'll see if I can do it by the end of the upcoming weekend. It's only small due to budgeting and only recently getting serious about it but I have some good stuff like the blood comic and a first run of their debut album before they added Kissin' Time.
This gameroom would cause me a divorce or get me fired from my job.. love it!
Unless your wife was a gamer :p
I really love this game room. I want to do something like this with my garage. Might have to consult the master on that :D
Your room is cool enough lol
Barnacules Nerdgasm Yes,says mister
3:43 Jar of Flies! That's an *awesome* EP, one of my favorites.
Old school Metal Jesus!
My eyes lit up when I first saw that N64...then my jaw dropped seeing the cartridges!!! Oh man I would push my PS3 and PS4 to the side to play that amazing console again.

I saw daft punk discovery vinyl. Such a good album
Thanks! Wrote that little tune about 15 years ago now. Super fun to play on guitar.
Metal Jesus is winning at life

nice man cave. I wonder how painfull it would be for a collector to lose their stuff in a fire or whatever. ouch, best not to think about that one
Great to see your collection back then, very entertaining. Jason I haven’t mentioned this before but you really helped me through the pandemic. Thank you!
holy shit aren't you afraid of a fire or something. Especially with the carpet.
You are one of my favorite youtubers because youre so positive. You just love talking about gamers and sharing it with other gamers. Well done MetalJesus, cheers.
gamecube controller is my favourite controller

How are you able to afford all these games?!
You can find retro stuff pretty cheap sometimes. Also he has probably collected all of this over a long period of time.

After playing my first live gig on stage back in the late 90s, I cracked open my KISS red wine bottle I was saving and celebrated. It was a great moment (and tasty wine too)
Has a video game paradise and NES games, doesn't have an original NES :(
***** I said original NES, not the top loader.
Loopy1330 why would you need a toaster when you got a top loader ;)
thehoodedone420 One word, "CLASSIC"
The top loader takes up so much less space
Top loader = Missing back plug port
Flaw: Bad Video and Audio quality :(
Original = Attractive, Has port, better Video and Audio quality :D
Flaw: 72 Pin connector problems
(which is something that the Top Loader doesn't get so I will give credit for that!)

Hippie..
GREAT job on your gameroom and video tour. Found some of your hidden Xbox original gems in my local used store today! We have the best hobby in the world!

AVGN Has A Better Collection
Zuley It's not a contest.
MetalJesusRocks Wow! I'm really suprised to see a youtuber respond to a comment on a video this old.
MetalJesusRocks hi I like videos!
MetalJesusRocks nice collection man.....don't let the haters bother u. I'm pretty sure the guy commenting doesn't have near the collection you do
Agreed, and his videos don't put me too sleep.....
Agreed. One of the few thrash metal album I can think of with no solos yet still a masterpiece.
The Panasonic model I own had the shoe slot the shotgun mic slips into. Works perfectly.
thanks for the cut out clear plastic tub idea! i'm going to try to find clear plastic tubs that are completely square so as to have a more clear cut design, like your positive attitude!
I have been collecting games for about 30 years. I am now in my 40s.
Fantastic collection, superb reviews, great taste for music and movies. Love your hidden gems postings. Keep up the good work and keep retro gaming alive.
This game room is ridiculous! My favorite is your MAME arcade in the corner, awesome vid man!
Definitely one of the best collections I have seen.
All your systems look in great shape. You do an excellent job of keeping everything neat. Thanks for the covering the systems tip u showed off. Great idea dawg.

This tour was awesome man! So many memories and I love the plastic tubs and baggies to keep consoles/controllers clean. Nice job! :D
I love how well you take care of your things!
I'm so happy you love the mass effect series, in my opinion its the best game series ever made.

That was so freaking awesome. Just the video I needed after a hard day of work! Thank you so much for doing this. This is quality chillout entertainment.
Our entire basement is about 900 square feet, but the game room & music area probably takes up only half of that.
Nevermind, posted before I finished. I love PC games and I wish I knew more people like you who collects old ones! Kudos!
Dude, this is great. You are very organized. I applaud you in my mind.
Yes my wife gave me permission to be seen and on camera in that shirt. Thanks for asking! :)
Such a brilliant collection. And your music area is unbelievable... extremely jealous. Fair play though!!
MetalJesus you have two things that i love
1.video games
2.rock n roll
Hey MJ! Did you hear? Sierra are coming back! Hope they treat the games with the same amount of love!
sweet man! when I am finish my new basement redo...i'll had to make a new one... love the new set up my friend and hope all is well --- Brent
I just noticed I really love the music in the background. It's good but it doesn't interfere with listening to you. Nice balance.
Great video. I'm not a collector myself. I think even more impressive than the collection itself is your ability to organize! I think you could hire yourself out to people that need to unclutter collections and homes.
One of my favorite Iron Maiden songs... plus all the art from the band back then was awesome! Eddie is the best.
Thanks for the tour. Enjoyed this video. I like to get your top 10 on each and every system.
Such a cool collection and you seem like a lovely guy. Enjoying your videos having just started collecting myself (have started with a PS2 and a Gamecube)!!

This kicks my mancave's butt.
Awesome collection! And one of the best room tour videos ive seen on TH-cam!
Very cool! Made me think about all the cool games that I have lost or gotten rid of over the years.
I really admire your gaming space. You've got a great sense of style. cheers!
Vice City is my favorite Grand Theft Auto game. Long Live V-Rock! \m/
Beautiful collection, brother, you gave me a lot of great ideas, my best regards, keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
You rock Metal Jesus! Love the room! Loveeee the old school PC collection!
Melvins! I saw the Melvins! Sorry, got excited. I liked that album and rarely ever see anyone else with it.
I got excited when I saw the album as well! Lysol is my fav :p

Jesus Christ.. This is my dream... Thanks again man!!!
Awesome setup, I enjoyed watching and reminiscing on games I used to have and stuff I want to collect again. \m/
A product called Goo Gone is pretty good for cleaning cartridges and labels.
Metal Jesus, and im back again! love that line!
No problem. I'll see if I can do it by the end of the upcoming weekend. It's only small due to budgeting and only recently getting serious about it but I have some good stuff like the blood comic and a first run of their debut album before they added Kissin' Time.
fantastic collection as always hands down
Awesome video bro! You have an amazing collection and your game room is set up very well.
I started gaming in 78 on the magnavox odysey 2, it was called Phillips G7000 in the pal region where I live, my second gaming system was the Oric 1.
My current gen PS3 & Xbox 360 are upstairs in the living room, connected to the HDTV
I really like the Melvins in the early to mid 90s. My favorite albums by them are Houdini, Stoner Witch and Stag.
so retro and soooo awesome bro
