Great instruction as always bud .....she does another guitar piece on TH-cam “ born to be with you “ the break in that would be great nice to see the difference in styles
"Words are hard" I feel you. :D Another amazing lesson and I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time with it. I started tipping my toes deeper into the bluegrass waters for these past few months and I just gotta say that without your channel and your lessons, it would have been a gazillion times harder. So I just wanted to say thank you, you're awesome. (Just a shot in the dark, while I'm here: Would you consider doing one on Bryan Sutton's "Walkin' Across This Land", the version he did in Bourgeois Guitars Takeover video? That one has really caught my ear and would take me forever to learn by myself. It's the very first song there.)
The order of the parts she's playing really confuses me. Her B part sounds like Monroe's A part. Her A part sounds good but I'm not sure which part it's supposed to be.
Her arrangement is of course based heavily on the David Grier recording. Grier uses the first bit as an introduction then the accompaniment comes in on the next bit which is actually the A part. So since Sierra is doing this solo, it's not readily apparent that the first bit is meant to be an introduction. This may seem overly picky, but I want to cop some of these lick and use them in jam sessions/stage performances, so having the order correct is important.
That was one of the coolest things I've ever heard..
It's weird but I have enjoyed your transcriptions of Sierra's pieces more than anyone else's.
That arpeggio section is very David Grier-like. Great job with the transcription! Will work on this!
Grier played this on a Monroe tribute album from probably the late 90’s
Sierra's version is her own take on (but very close to) David Grier's version
Merci Marcel pour le boulot incroyable et ta générosité. Biz.
Thank you so much for this. I've been trying to learn this since Sierra first uploaded it. I think I was getting there, but it was slow going.
Awesome! Great fan of Mr. Scrooge himself. Whether I can play this tune well, humbug!
Great fan of Sierra and of course Tiny Marcel.
I have learned this thanks to your lesson. So appreciative. Thank You!
Excellent lesson! You are a fantastic teacher! Great job! Thank you!
Sheeeeesh setting that fretboard on fire
Marcel, you the MAN!
Loving this tab, would kill for a transcription of her take on Wildwood Flower.
This is great. Thanks Marcel!
Well done Marcel, You're a gentleman! Thank you
Started transcribing this for my lesson this week it's like you read my mind man 😂
This is awesome!
Great job! Nailed it !
Killing it! I couldn't hold my feet still!
If anybody has any doubts about how good Sierra is they should try learning this tune!
Thank you !
You should check out David Grier's version of this from the album "True Life Blues". Sierra took heavily from his. Amazing stuff.
This is too much fun
Good morning Marcel!
Wow! Great! 🤟
Wow, thank you this will obsess my life for about three weeks! Good job lol
Fuck Yeah! I'll sub now.
talk to Hatfield. He did an arrangement based off Monroe's mando play
Great instruction as always bud .....she does another guitar piece on TH-cam

Great lesson maestro! This has to be bluegrass’s equivalent to Stairway To Heaven. Or maybe Free Bird or Green Grass and High Tides.
I’ve seen the comparison of Billy String’s Turmoil & Tinfoil being the bluegrass’s equivalent to Bohemian Rhapsody.

How about “The Secesh” off of Sutton’s latest
Sounds quite of celt descent scottish which MONROE was.
